Stay away.
Was previously Holy House, a retirement home and some elderly residents are still there. The apartments are worn out and in need of updating. Winsted was once a decent town now it is awful. The roads are bad, lake is dirty and the roads around the lake are too narrow and busy to walk. There is no place to shop. Nearby school was shut down. Rte. 44 is backed up during rush hour from commuters going thru. CTRemco will not address problems and will not return your security. While I was there pipes burst from freezing in neighbors apartments. I had no storage and was left an outdoor shed that was rotted in place of a storage cage. Laundry room is gross and needs updating. Some residents have restricted dog breeds and don't care. Avoid this place.
