Property Ratings at 750 Harrison St
TLDR: Building may seem nice, but is actually terrible once you live in it for a while. Don't fall for it. Despite being a new building and somewhat high rent, once you live in the building for a while it'll become clear that this isn't worth it. They say they have heating but it doesn't actually work and the temperature in the room will not rise after being "on" for several hours. The manager is known to be unreachable so good luck if anything goes wrong. It'll take a minimum of two-three weeks before you get a call so get used to the voice mail. On top of this, the surrounding area isn't the safest so it's best not to be out after sundown and generally it's a bunch of warehouses and stores you'll have no use for. If you're just staying for short period like an internship this place will probably be fine if you can afford it, but anything longer than a few months, this should be your very last option no matter how nice things may seem.
I feel lucky that I found it and chose it. The building and rooms are brand new, with nicely decorated hallways, bathrooms, etc and room size that is more than enough for me and sometimes both me and my girlfriend when she comes over. The location is so perfect that I wouldn't want it move even an inch: 2min walk to whole food market, 10min walk to caltrain, 9min walk to AMC metreon, 10min walk to westfield san francisco center. The right distance from downtown keeps the number of creepy homeless people in an acceptable range while still provides easy access to everything in downtown. And not to mention the rent is $1000 lower than the average rent in soma area (I have lots of friends living in soma who wouldn't believe how much I am paying monthly)
