Neighborhood

North Bay Village’s Treasure Island neighborhood is one of the most unique communities in South Florida. The mainly-residential community is built on a tiny island in Biscayne Bay, connected to the mainland and Miami Beach by the JFK Causeway. This positioning puts Treasure Island directly in the path of thousands of beachgoers, but residents enjoy some of the most convenient access to the area’s beaches as well as boating and fishing from the marinas on neighboring Harbor Island.

Though small, Treasure Island functions as a largely self-sufficient village, with schools, grocery stores, restaurants, and bus stops serving the locals—WSVN television even has its studios on the northwest corner of the island. With the entire island comprising less than one square mile, residents are able to reach just about anywhere by foot or bicycle.
