Property Ratings at 8 Metro Station
I am surprised at some of these reviews. I have a great experience and the staff have been so friendly and helpful (especially, Patrick my lease agent) I work from home and I don’t hear much day or night. I would recommend, in my personal experience!
Property Manager at 8 Metro Station, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the five stars! It is wonderful to hear that your experience in our peaceful community has been so positive, and we look forward to sharing your compliments with Patrick and the rest of the team.
This apartment complex isn’t worth half of what they charge for rent. I’ve lived in dorms, and college apartments that are more adequate at 8 metro’s price point. Poor quality built apartments, nasty and inconsiderate tenants, and something is always out service. If you move here, make SURE you look at the actual unit on the lease before you sign. The building they show you is the best building here, and sets up awfully high expectations, that the other incomplete and dirty buildings just can’t reach. I was rather embarrassed to bring my parents here, but that’s my own fault for not taking my own advice. Currently a student, my hands were tied and I needed to extend my lease for a while, and I still get upset when I think about how much time I have left. The staff is nice though!

Don't pay attention to reviews before the beginning of 2022. This place USED to be great. 8 metro station horrible. Do not move here! I lived here for over 2 years. Since then a new property manager took over and the quality of these apartments in every aspect as has gone down significantly. It has gotten so bad, that this morning I woke up and my car was gone. They had the car towed of a resident who lived here for years and when I brought it too their attention they basically told me I just have to pay. So not only was money lost due to being late to work and having to reschedule clients, but a $300 tow fee on top of that. Months ago when they first took over, I asked them about the new stickers, and they "said don't worry about, we are not towing right now." 8 metro station is not only incompetent, but they do not care about the residents that live here.
Property Manager at 8 Metro Station, Responded To This Review
We appreciate you reaching out and are sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Vehicles that do not have a resident sticker or belong to guests need to park in our designated visitor parking spaces to avoid being towed. This policy has been in place since April and is for the benefit of our residents so we may guarantee available parking. We notified all residents through multiple emails, signs, and notices on each resident's door. If we can answer any additional questions for you, please feel free to contact us at metrostation@alapts.com.
Please learn from my mistake, this is NOT a quiet community and I would not recommend this complex to anyone looking to work from home or students that need to focus/study. If loud environments disrupt your well-being, I highly recommend paying a little more to live elsewhere. I’ve found that if I need to concentrate, I have to commute into Uptown and go into the office. Considering the cost of gas and parking, I’d probably break even living somewhere else while also enjoying the comforts of working from home. We’ve talked to management multiple times about the vibrations we FEEL from our downstairs neighbor’s bass music while sitting in our living room. I’ve lived in apartments for over 10 years and I understand that it’s not uncommon to hear moderate levels of sound from other units. But I have NEVER experienced vibrations coming through the floor. The community manager told me that they “can’t tell people to not play music in their apartment”. I tried to explain that it’s more than music, but she didn’t seem to care. All I wanted was a courtesy reminder to keep their bass at reasonable levels. We’ve called the courtesy officer on multiple occasions and that did not seem to help either. I’ve invested in noise-canceling earphones but that doesn’t stop the vibrations. The problem doesn’t seem to be unique to our unit either. I’d consider this a party complex as we’ve heard parties on many occasions while walking throughout the community. I would recommend requesting a copy of the community rules before paying the $200/person application fee so you’re able to see what your protections are as a resident. Most communities have quiet hours or guidelines around noise control but the verbiage in the contract is very loose and they don’t seem to enforce anything. We did not visit in person before moving here because we were not local to Charlotte at the time. If I had seen the level of cleanliness and security (or lack thereof) of the property, I would have kept looking for other communities. I can look past the condition of the property, but I can’t get past the noise.

If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to connect with us at metrostation@alapts.com. Thank you.
The community was bought out last summer and it’s so unorganized but their are heavy rules being wrongly enforced. Elevator never works, not enough visitor parking, leasing office has a nasty attitude

Hanna did an awesome job on getting me and my kids in an apartment. She was very proficient and got the job done immediately. So far so good. Complex looks exactly how it does on pictures. Would recommend if you’re looking for a nice, safe place.
Property Manager at 8 Metro Station, Responded To This Review
Hello, thank you for your kind words! We are ecstatic that Hanna provided such quality service to you and your family. Please enjoy our peaceful community and reach out if there is anything we can do to assist you.
Don’t bother with this place. It’s a joke. They do not enforce any policies or regulations that they have which include about pet waste, trash pick up, pool, parking, etc. This place is supposed to be a non smoking community but yet it constantly reeks of marijuana and trash smell in the hallways. The sense of security is lacking since the gates don’t work or get propped open. Management sends out email reminders which are a complete joke. They don’t enforce or follow through on what they say they. The Management team don’t care nor do they follow up on requests or emails. Don’t waste your time and money on this place. For a place to only be 2 years old, has really gone down hill and fast!
They offer a great & safe community to live in! The Management Team is superb at V & Three, especially Grant & Latoya! If your looking for a great place to call your home, definitely come check out V & Three!!!
