Property Ratings at 8000 Uptown
8000 Uptown is beautiful. The employees are all lovely. This would be the best place I’ve ever lived except for noise. All upper levels have wood floors, you can hear everything. I have begged for help from the office and the are so nice but two months in have not solved the issue with my upstairs neighbor. We are kept up late & woken up extremely early. The dog barks nonstop. They walk around in heavy boots & play sports upstairs. I have two children with special needs who can’t get sleep. It’s a true shame. I’ve sent videos over and over. I’ve been in the office in tears. The problem is not handled. So if you need some peace, this is sadly not the place. I tried to solve this before leaving a review because everyone is so nice but nice doesn’t mean much when you’re living in constant noise from 5am to 11pm. It is a shame. The property is wonderful. We have 10 long months to go :(

We're truly sorry to hear about the noise issues you've been experiencing. We understand how important a peaceful environment is. We want to assure you that we take your concerns seriously and we're committed to finding a resolution. Please reach out to us at 303-404-8995 or info@LiveAt8000.com so we can discuss this further. Sincerely, The 8000 Uptown Management Team
IF you have an overdue amount over $100 AND rent becomes due, they will charge you 10% on the total amount--even if the rent is paid on time. I was on the hook for nearly $300 on a $118 over due charge. They refused to work with me. VERY bad faith business practice. So if you have a choice and all things are equal, I would NOT choose 8000 Uptown.

Hi Michael, We're sorry to read this review. Our goal is to stay true to the highest ethical standards and principles through our community management operations. We follow the lease contract when assessing lease violations. When you get a moment, please call us or stop by the office to speak to us in person so we may learn more about your concerns. Thanks.
I have lived here for over a year and a half. The new management has made a lot of changes to the feel of this property. They are very friendly and there are a ton of community events with free beer and catered food. Like so many others have said before, if you plan on living on the 2nd or 3rd floors, please be respectful and take your shoes off when entering your apartment. Know that the floors are very thin and the people below can hear your every step. If you are up late at night, you might want to consider a 1st-floor unit so you don't keep those below you up too. The same goes for having a large dog. Just be respectful, and cognizant of your neighbors. With that said, I feel very safe here and the pool is really nice in the summer.
Our experience with these apartments was ok. The property manager works very hard, and Crystal is great, but some of the front office staff is fairly unprofessional. The buildings themselves are new, poorly constructed, and you will hear all of the neighbors around you. The amenities offered are not practical and leave the front office to appear as a nightclub/play area rather than a place of business. This neighborhood attracts very young, first time apartment dwellers. More than half of the lights will be out in the common areas of these apartments at any given time leaving open the opportunity for very strange interactions with unruly neighbors.
I moved in over a year ago and have seen a lot. Overall, my biggest complaint is that I can hear every step my upstairs neighbor makes, and it's loud. I will refer to her here as "Stompy". If you move into this complex, I would absolutely suggest you move into one of the top floor units. For over a year now, Stompy has kept me up past 3 am at least a few times a week. She likes to party, comes home late, and cleans her apartment at 2-3 am. Then wakes up around 7:45 am to wake me up again. I have complained many times about it, but is it her fault? She is just walking around her apartment, enjoying a different type of lifestyle, and yet it sounds like she is going to bust through my ceiling. I bought Bose noise canceling earbuds, but the stomping shakes my bed. I bought a noise machine on Amazon, but it is no match for Stompy. Unless your upstairs neighbor weighs 100 pounds and never wears their shoes in their apartment, and goes to sleep at a reasonable time, I wouldn't move into the 1st or 2nd floor. With that said, the apartments were built cheap, so the insulation is also really poor. My upstairs neighbor's pipes froze last year(before Stompy moved in), and her insurance did not cover it. Expect some serious drafts through those cheap windows. Overall, the apartment looks nice, and it is on the FF1 Line which makes it a convenient commute to Denver. When the complex opened the rates were a lot more reasonable, they have gone up and seem high for the burbs. Prepare to drive a lot to run your errands, there is no grocery store within walking distance. The new people at the front desk seem nice, however, I haven't interacted with them that much. I use the gym and it works sufficiently.
While the location is great and the apartments themselves are beautiful, the sound-proofing leaves much to be desired. I moved in here one month ago, and soon realized that I can hear everything my upstairs neighbors are doing (i.e. heavy footsteps - especially bad when someone is wearing heels, doors slamming, cabinets slamming, things dropping onto the floor). I asked management to reach out to my neighbors several times to ask if they could try to keep the noise levels down, and while this worked for a few days at a time, the noise has returned each time. The only other option I was given was to move to a third-floor apartment. I literally just moved here, and am on my own, so it would be a huge, exhausting ordeal for me to pack up all of my belongings again, not to mention having to pay movers to transport my heavy furniture. The noise is especially rough for me because I work from home; I have to wear noise-blocking headphones to work, and even these don't block some of the heavy thudding coming from upstairs. I don't think that I am unusually sensitive to noise, and I have given my neighbors the benefit of the doubt by assuming that it is the flooring that amplifies noise. If you are considering moving here, beware that noise may potentially be a problem if you have an upstairs neighbor.

They have a pool, hot tub, a work out room with a bench press. and pull up bar etc. And when you're hanging with your friends. There's is a pool table and fools ball table. And my favorite is they have snacks and drinks out when the office is open for kids, and beer for adults. they have a coffee machine that you can custom make your coffee, that is open all day. The apartments, are really nice, it's pretty quiet and we have a family with 2 baby's upstairs and we rarely hear them. And there's a park for your kids to play at, and a lot of space to walk your dogs. And my favorite is it is really close to the first bank center. So you can go see a concert(it's really fun). And theirs a pizza place called protos. We would love new Neighbors????

We appreciate you sharing your comments! Our residents' opinions are extremely important to us. On behalf of all of us at 8000 Uptown, thanks for your continued residency! Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any thoughts as to how we can improve our level of service even more.
You will hear everything your neighbors are doing, If you have kids it's not a kid friendly place, if you let them go out to play you will get calls and emails from the office, Also when you do move they will try and charge you for damage that isn't there.

Originally we were pretty happy with this place but as time has gone on my our family has had more and more problems. After several months with no upstairs neighbor we quickly learned that normal walking was amplified by the laminate floors when we finally got one. You can hear every step someone above you takes and god forbid they have a dog or kids! We have also had multiple issues with people violating the pool and hot tub rules by staying in until as late as 1am and making all kinds of noise. We have had to make multiple calls to the courtesy patrol which is also lackluster and takes forever to show up. If you have kids (under 18) you will also find that the clubhouse is off limits unless they are accompanied by a parent because the have beers taps. If you have school age kids you will also find that letting them play outside unattended may get you a call or visit from the office staff. The most shocking thing that happened though was the outrageous move out costs. We expected some fees for breaking our lease, but even after cleaning and leaving the apartment in what we thought was pretty good condition (we lived here for one year) we received a bill that included replacing a refrigerator ($500), not because it was broken or stained, but because it was cosmetically scratched by the magnets we used to hang up our kids drawings, seriously come one. Apparently the quartz counter top needed replacing too which is absolutely absurd, but was billed out at $800. In total we had a move out fee of nearly $3500 and that was after the kept our $1600 deposit. Personally I think it's highway robbery and we will be notifying the Better business bureau and our local housing authority about this behavior. This I am revising my review and am hopeful that others will not fall for this places "big promises" and hopefully our experience can save you some grief (and money).
