The location on 81 Fifty is great. Management is pretty responsive and seems to take care of the things that they can. The buildings themselves are old and sound travels easily. Footsteps, conversations, pets, water running, garbage disposals. Anything moving can be heard inside your apartment from neighbors especially if you have neighbors that live above/beside you. People smoke here and don't abide to the smoking rules. The patios are a great touch but a lot of the wood is rotting away and the paint is peeling and looks tacky. The common walk ways to apartments are very loud and covered in moss/dirt so can get slippery when walking on it. Not a lot of uncovered parking. I wish there were more positive things to say about living here but I would say it is rather average. It does have potential to be great but the community here isn't the best and the apartments themselves don't offer much.
You probably don't want this spread. When anyone asks me where I live, I do not recommend this place. I tell my experience with my vehicle vandalism and theft, how high the rent and that it will be going up, rude and inconsiderate office management.
Do not move here if you want a functioning fitness room or the ability to keep your curtains open after the sun goes down. Way overpriced, especially for a place without those non-negotiables!

The maintenance of this property is deplorable. Trash bins are constantly overflowing, dog poop everywhere, mold and moss everywhere and the staff doesn't respond to maintenance request. The grounds that they don't take you on the tour are in very poop shape. Stairs to building and handrails shaky and falling off. I have had an open ticket for a maintenance issue for 4 months. The staff is nice but the manager is awful. Rude, condescending, and obviously does not take responsibility for her property or her actions. They will lie to get you to sign a lease and then harass you for the issues that were addresses before signing the lease. I would encourage you to look elsewhere, as I am incredibly unhappy here and most of my neighbors are as well.

81Fifty is amazing in that management has the perfect balance of being very hands-on and proactive while also respecting tenants privacy and being very hands-off in that aspect. Just hoping the pool stays open for a little longer next year as it would have been great to use it for a few more weeks while it was still in the 80s last month. Otherwise, loving it so much here!
81Fifty at West Hills is a professionally run, wonderfully located apartment homes, in one of the more beautiful areas of Portland metro area.
The staff is great, location is great, having a fireplace is really nice in case of a power outage. Buildings have a few quirks but appliances are nice and updated. Apparently some ground floor units have a lot of moisture and mold issues. There is no cell reception here so paying for high quality internet is a must or being able to walk to the top of the hill to make an actual phone call is necessary. Close to a bus stop that goes right into downtown!
We have only been here a few months, but the intake process was very easy considering we in the middle of a shutdown due to the pandemic. The office management and maintenance staff are all very friendly and helpful. Been a great experience so far!
This apartment complex is very beautiful and it is kind of its own community within the larger community. The aparement is worth the price, it is roomy and comfortable. The leasing office is super sweet and tries to make their residents happy! I have enjoyed my time here!

81 Fifty is an awesome place to live. Rent is very reasonable for such beautiful apartments. There are fun events for residents and overall, management has massively improved since the acquisition by Greystar. Great amenities and cool people. I've lived here for over 3 years and I plan to stay until we buy our first home.

We love our community here at 81 Fifty! Management is great at bringing us together with Food Truck Wednesdays, Pup of the Month, and other various contests and giveaways. Management is prompt and approachable and has always done right by us! Plus, they absolutely love our dog!
The apartments are nicely redone. I like living here. Just not in my place since I get no sun and have to block all windows from views so I dont feel like Im always on display. I think the staff here is wonderful and on top of things as well as always doing fun things for the community.
My roommate and I had a great experience living at 8150 while we were there but as soon as we left we were extremely disappointed with the fees they tacked on. We lived here for two years and even referred our friends who moved in as well. When we moved out we spent hours cleaning our apartment and when we lived there cleaned frequently. We didn't have any pets and left it just as clean if not cleaner than when we moved in. Now that our lease us up they are trying to charge us over $1,000 dollars in repairs even though nothing was damaged. They did not allow a walk through as my roommate had requested. Despite my roommate and I's attempts to reaching out with proof of a clean apartment nothing has been done to reverse these charges. I am sad to say this has left a poor taste in my mouth. Unless they are able to work with us to justly remove these charges I would not recommend living here.
We heard noises in our refrigerator freezer and thought it might be malfunctioning. We requested maintenance to assess the freezer. They came in and assessed the condition and explained what was occurring, and reassured us of it was working well.
I've lived here from 2013 until today. Life has been extremely generous, in giving a woman with virtues such as mine a place in this Universe, let alone in this vibrant State, Metropolitan, and, 81Fifty At West Hills Community, that I am proud to call home.

Love the apartment complex overall; have lived here over 5 years. It's quiet, centrally located, great amenities... only complaint is that there is not enough parking for guests (some people leave dead cars parked in customer parking for months on end) and security needs to be ramped up because of all the car breakins (mine was broken into twice).

I have enjoyed living at 81 Fifty at West Hills across multiple years and multiple units. It is a clean, safe, and kind community welcome to pets that features a dog park, an awesome pool, and a beautiful gym. I would recommend this location to my friends any day.
I've lived here for seven years. An apartment. I'm a 6'3" woman, and still don't feel cramped. Or like I'm about to be the victim of some property crime or another. And this is WITHOUT concrete walls and concertina wire. Idk WHAT Y'all keep doing up there, but y'all are sure keeping the folks down here happy with what THEY have. Thanks.
It has overall been a nice community to be a part of. The staff have been responsive to requests and questions as they arise, access to facilitues for exercise and recreation are nice, and they have facilitated numerous community events. Additionally, the location along the 20 bus route allows for convienient access to both the Portland and Beaverton areas which is a nice bonus for commuting.
I have lived in this apartment community for over a year now. I am a transplant from the East coast. I move her for a job with the VA hospital. I find the community as a whole very friendly. Whenever I have encountered the staff especially in the office, they have been very helpful and friendly. The complex to me is very well kept. I totally enjoy the very modern apartment and I like the location of the community. I am not in the city and I am not in the country. I have access to everything.
Management at 81 fifty at West Hills has tried very hard to be friendly and take care of any issues in a timely manner. They have also worked consistantly at upgrading the apartments, painting, repairing old wood with new, changing out old fixtures etc. Also, up here on the hill, there are beautiful trees, grass, and on a foggy morning, the air smells wonderful!
Its a peaceful and quiet area. I love how close it is to downtown as well as Beaverton. Close to school, a small shopping mall etc. I like living here.

I've lived at this apartment complex for six or seven years, through a number of renovations and property management companies. Best place I've ever lived. This is Shangri-La, for me.
I have lived here for three months and have been very happy. The complex is quiet and has lots and lots of trees, so it feels like a neighborhood. Even though my one bedroom is small (644 sq ft), the space is laid out well and I have plenty of room. I think it was just a couple years ago they had major renovations, so all the cabinets and flooring, etc. are new and attractive. Plus, there's a real wood burning fire place I can't wait to use when it gets cold. The maintenance team has exceeded my expectations twice now. They have been super responsive, courteous, and done good work. I've lived in a lot of rentals, and this team is the best I've experienced. Special shout-out to Tessa and Dustin!
I just renewed for another year because I love it here so much. Even though my rent did increase a bit, it's still a great deal for everything they offer. When I renewed, Brittney in the office sent my new lease so quickly and is always nice and willing to help. Very happy with this complex.
I love everything about this place! I am relocating for my job after living here for a few years, and I am so sad to go!! my neighbors are AMAZING and Brittney and Hillary in the office are so sweet! I hope I can come back some day.
