Absolutely obsessed with my view, location is just about perfect being close to downtown but just far enough away to feel separated from the city. Concierge workers are so great, I love the level of security here. Been a bit disappointed about hearing neighbors a lot. Workout facility is way too small for the size of the building and number of residents. No guest parking for guest suite which is a little silly in my opinion for this being a relatively brand new building. Not allowed to ask other residents if their spot is temporarily available either. Great place to live but unsure the pricing matches what you get, could be paying $400 less for the same thing.

Everything has been great so far. The community of people, the amenities, and the beauty of the place is remarkable. My one complaint are the front doors being so thin. That is not a budget cut that should have been apart of this development. Not only does it feel cheap, but you can hear the neighbors so early in the hallway. This is not luxury building standard and this building deserves better than that. Having that be my only complaint, I still give this place 5 stars.
I moved back in November and I absolutely love this building, the staff is amazing and I feel very much apart of a little community here, can’t wait to continue to grow here!

868 is a very nice new building and our overall experience has been good but some considerations: Pros: - the staff is very nice and accommodating. - the pool is quiet and relaxing - the elevators are fast - parking in building is very nice to have and safe. - the units have high quality, high tech appliances. Cons - the walls are very thin. Noise from neighboring units on sides and above is way beyond normal, and disappointing for a new building. - the combo microwave / oven is hard to use and too low. - parking spots are very tight in garage. - non-smoking building, but often smell smoke from neighbors, in elevators and garage. Overall we like this unit and building, but the cons are something to be aware of. The people who work here are very nice and professional but some of the other residents are pretty meh… The building feels very safe and is in a great location.
I’ve been living at 868 N Wells for about three months now, and honestly, it’s been a great experience. The staff is incredible—super responsive, friendly, and always willing to help with anything that comes up. You can tell they really care about making this place feel like home. The building itself is well-maintained and clean, which I appreciate. Everything from the common areas to the amenities is kept in top shape, and any maintenance requests are handled quickly. The service here is top-notch, which isn’t something you find everywhere in Chicago. Overall, I’m really happy with my decision to move here. If you’re looking for a place that’s modern, well-run, and has a great team behind it, 868 N Wells is definitely worth considering.

Great staff, nice apartment and amenities. Only thing I'd want is a larger oven, but for me, fits my needs. Utilize the amenities a lot! Have lived in a few high rises in the Old Town / River North area in similar price ranges and this has been my favorite for sure.

I've been living here since August and i absolutely love it! The staff and concierge is so nice and welcoming. The building is new so everything is clean and up to date. My only dislike is the street parking during rush hour but that's expected in Chicago . I love it here and don't plan on moving anytime soon!
I really enjoy living at 868 North Wells. The building is brand new and very beautiful. I live on a higher floor facing the lake, and the view of the Gold Coast is stunning. The neighborhood is great- close to River North, Gold Coast and Old Town. The rooftop pool is incredible, and the shared working stations on the 26th floor are very handy. The front desk and maintenance teams are fantastic, always very friendly and responsive. I would say there are only a few minor things that could be improved: 1) the air conditioning / heating system isn’t centralized so it’s a bit loud, especially at night when it comes on while you’re sleeping. 2) Sometimes the wind can get quite noisy in my corner unit. 3) It will be great once the grocery store is finished in our sister building, in case we need to go out and grab something quickly. Overall, I really love living here.
