900 Acqua Luxury Senior Apartments

Don’t be fooled by the shiny new building. The building is not well constructed and there is absolutely no soundproofing between apartments. If you like living in close quarters and need to know what time your upstairs neighbor gets up in the morning, if they flush the toilet and if they wash their hands afterwards, then this is the place for you. Do you like being able to hear every foot stomp your very loud and rude neighbors make as you are able to track them around their apartment each day? Don’t care to relax in your ‘luxury’ apartment on a Sunday afternoon because you’d rather be subjected to the sound of grandchildren running around and body slamming each other against your ceiling for 6 hours straight? Then 900 Acqua is the place for you! And no worries, the office will do nothing about the noise thus ruining your fun. They will tell you upfront that they NEVER have any noise complaints, that’s it’s a quiet building, and that there are tenants living directly over the office and they NEVER hear them, but it’s a sham. If you love and thrive on noise and the sounds of elephants walking instead of peaceful relaxation, move to 900 Acqua! Seriously, they’ll tell you whatever they need to so that you’ll sign the lease. BEWARE! And the parking? Each spot is assigned to a resident and there are only 3 spots to accommodate guests for the entire building. So, don’t like being bothered by visitors and guests? Then this is the place for you. You can just tell them they can’t come over because there is absolutely no place for them to park!

I moved to 900 Acqua apartments in 2012(the same year that that it opened). My husband was very ill at that time and I wanted to be close to him at Beth Shalom). The office staff (Holly and Tracy) was very supportive and helpful to me. All of my concerns were promptly addressed. I can never thank them enough, thanks again Holley and Tracy. The activities here are fantastic. We participate in line dancing; playing our favorite card games (Bid Whist is my favorite), have wine and cheese socials, birthday parties, “dress-up parties, pool parties and bus tours. And I am very excited to mention that we are all going on our very first cruise together in 2016. After my husband passed away, I was depressed and lonely. My adult children were kind and helpful but still – One day driving down Indian River Road I saw this huge building with signs reading “900 Acqua Apartments” for Active Seniors 62 . Well, I’m a very big . The grounds and building were so well kept and I thought this has to be for me. After a thorough tour, I rented my apartment. I’ve only been here 10 months and I’m very content. There’s daily activities in the club house, pot luck lunches, and the like. For the first time in 65 years I bought a bathing suit and went swimming in our beautiful pool with a nice lady. She’s a 3 year resident here and her name is Ginny. I’ve met and made friends with many wonderful people – we’re all seniors and like most 62 people we speak pretty much what comes to mind. Such fun! Helpful office personnel, always working to help and answer questions. I don’t plan to leave 900 Acqua for many years – I should be so lucky!

I knew I had found my home when I took the tour. If you are getting on in years but still want to entertain the kid inside of you, come and check us out and live all those dreams. We have spacious apartments, poo. gym, libraries, business centers, and a clubhouse where fun can be had making new friends with all the events that are sponsored here

I live in one of the apartments set for handicap living which makes it very convenient for me. It is spacious and quiet. I spend a lot of my time in the clubhouse. It has a complete kitchen area, a pool table, casual seating areas and tables where cards and games can be played. The residents have begun several activities to appeal to those who are interested in social activities, and the office also sets up some social activities for us.There is a lovely library full of titles donated to by the residents. Every month more are added. The office and maintenance staff are friendly, professional and have been of great help to me when I have needed them. I have made some wonderful friends here and I would not want to live anywhere else.The building has controlled accesses and I feel quite safe here.

I sold my home and had one weekend to find living space in Virginia Beach. This was the only apartment I looked at and was impressed with the office and maintenance staff, the amenities and the residents that made me feel welcome from the first day. The storage space within my unit eliminated the stress of having to decide what personal property to bring, making the transition an easy one.

Moved into the building in 2012 when it was new and was the first occupant of my apartment. No maintenance calls at all until today to replace a light bulb. Excellent staff and support personnel along with friendly neighbors and lots of planned activities.

I moved in while the building was still brand new (2 years ago)and I love it here. The building is beautiful and every maintenance request is handled promptly. Love sitting by the beautiful pool. Office staff are courteous and professional. Large number of resident social events monthly, making it a fun place to live. Location is convenient to shops with some close enough to walk to.

When my husband passed away I started looking for a senior apartment. I looked at a LOT of apartments. After I took a tour of 900 Acqua I stopped looking. The apartment was brand new and over looking the pond of the property next door. Beautiful in the winter. In the summer I enjoy the pool, and it is hard to find a senior community with a pool!

My husband & I have lived here for the last 3 years and are very happy here. the staff & maintenance are very pleasant. Any problems we have had were taken care of in a timely manner. L. Yates

Sun , Fun, Clubhouse Parties..All this and more who said 62 was boring needs to be here!!

Six months have flown by since we moved here. I've lived in several apt. complexes in the last few years and this one is by far the best of all of them. When we were hit with the snow storm our maintenance man stayed through the night to plow and make sure we could get out in the morning unlike some of the other complexes in the area. The ladies in the office are fun and very helpful! The residents are friendly and fun to talk with. We are so happy we found this place!

I moved to 900 Acqua Apartments over a year ago after downsizing from my home of 40 years. The transition was big for me but the 900 Acqua staff helped to make it very smooth! They met with me & showed me many available apartments until I finally decided on just the right one for me. The staff was very helpful during the move in process & helped me to get adjusted with anything I needed. One of the things I'm really enjoying at 900 Acqua is the beautiful landscaping! This summer, I felt like I was living in a tropical paradise with such beautiful flowers all around. I think this adds so much to our home. After many years of maintaining a lawn, I now appreciate sitting back & enjoying the beauty while someone else takes care of it! It didn't take long for my apartment to feel like home & I can't believe that I've now been here over a year! I have found that not only is the staff friendly & helpful, but my neighbors & other residents of the complex are friendly too! Everyone seems to have time to speak & chat along with being concerned about each other. I've had residents who've been there to help in time of need. I'm really enjoying living here at 900 Acqua & I'm glad I decided to make this my home!

I enjoy living at 900 Acqua and I just renewed my lease for 24 months. The community is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. I moved in to a brand new apartment and was the first one to live there. They have wonderful activites for us and all my neighbors are very friendly. I looked at several senior communites in the area before making my decision to go with 900 Acqua and I am glad did.

It is a lovely place to look at, but don't look too closely behind the fluff. Beside the huge rents that are charged to Seniors, once you are in, the truth comes to light. For instance you move in with a washer and dryer, THEN they tell you to pay for what was said to be part of your rent or buy your own. Let's not stop there...the parking spaces, one would think as residents, you would get at least 2 parking spaces, no they decided to put up car ports ( which eliminates spaces) and charge the residents for the right to park in the car port. The club house is exceptional, but for residents it is $250 to rent ($100. refundable deposit), the residents should have at least the clubhouse for a small deposit. Upon move in they were one month without telephones and cable, they lost this service ( after Cox installed services) bi-monthly. Can you imagine YOUR elderly mother is a home without phone service for hours ? And the list goes on and on. Seniors have done so must for the community, so why treat them with so little respect.SHAME,SHAME on you 900 Acqua
