Property Ratings at 910 Apartment Homes
The worst property to live at. The management team is horrible! The buildings are infested with roaches and bed bugs. Unsafe environment for kids!
Lived here for a month. My apartment had at least 1 RAT that I saw with my own eyes the first night there. They claimed no one else had issues and that pest control couldn’t find anything. The customer service is horrible and the communication is even worse. Be aware they will not show you the apartment until the day you move in, the only one they show is of course cleaned and staged. I tried multiple times to get reimbursed for the money loss spent on groceries ruined (fridge went out and no one came for 2 days) and supplies to handle the pest issue myself. This apartment is a huge waste of time and money.
So I’ve been living in this apartment since February. When I moved in it was really dirty and there’s so many roaches in here. Found out the bathroom sink wasn’t working, there was mold in the dishwasher, the shower water goes from burning hot to Icy cold and there’s nothing I can do about it . they still haven’t fixed it and is now May. I’ve called them a few times and did an online Maintenance request and still nothing. They have poor communication skills they’ll take your money but won’t make sure anything is done.
I've lived here for 5 months now and have already come across bad customer service. Front desk never gets back to you when they say they will. I work as a receptionist myself and have better skills, know to be very attentive to all customers and always do what I say am going to do. I've called the front office for at least 3-4 different things and they always say they're going to get back to me and I never receive anything. I have to then call and try to directly speak to a manager or nothing gets done. I know we all get busy at some point, but please have consideration of our calls. Thank you!
INFESTED! Do not recommend! Not for young couples. INFESTED! Not for family (No area for children to play, children left to play in streets). INFESTED! Pool open only during summer. INFESTED! They "misplaced" my check for rent. INFESTED! Asked for 2 pet deposit for the same dog (Make sure you save your receipt from your pet deposit). INFESTED! Constantly harassed by ignorant misspelled eviction papers. Speaking of harassment, the maintenance man , who picks up trash here and there, constantly watches me and my dog, whom I paid pet deposit for, and constantly stares me down as if he's waiting for me to do wrong. I personally think it's creepy, but I could be over analyzing ( I'm not). Management has the idea that 8 o'clock PM is a convenient, safe, and professional time to deal with tenants knocking on their doors (Very ignorant in my opinion). Oh and they have a slight problem with roaches ( Seriously, come home to an average of 6 roaches in my kitchen. I never leave food out, but they still drop by to say hello. Can't store food in pantries, wash every dish you take from your cabinets, Raid will be your bestie). Not interested in killing their business, just being the realist. Oh and they have sick people housed here, I do however hope the government realize this is no place for sick, weak, nor crippled individuals who can't fight the infestation that occurs in this place we the unfortunate call home.
Police in my parking lot every day. My room smells like weed thanks to the neighbors. Nobody seems to have a job around here. They towed my car and refused to reimburse me even though I had a sticker. Room is old and trashy. Carpets are stained. Stove broke. Dishwater fell out the wall for god's sake! The area's schools are horrendous--kids stabbed in the neck. Someone got shot here. Staff is rude and u professional and they just stare at you when you walk in. They do not abide by their own office hours. Trashiest complex and my sister lives in Compton and it's less trashy.

Thank you for your review although we do not consider our property trashy. We want to assist in resolving your issues so please contact the office. We are a permit parking property, but even still, if you are parked illegally, you will be towed. We hire off-duty police officers to patrol the area. They are available, should an incident arise, and if you feel uncomfortable, please call 911. Please consider coming to the office to discuss. Sincerely, Portofino Landing Management

We at Portofino Landing do not feel as though we are a trashy community. We hire off-duty police officers to patrol the property. Our staff works hard to meet the needs of the residents. We have permit parking and if you do not have a permit, you will be towed. If you are unsatisfied with your unit, please contact the office to discuss. If you believe that there is illegal activity taking place, please contact the office and/or call 911. We want your experience at Portofino Landing to be a good one so please, make time to come in and speak with the manager. Sincerely, Portofino Landing Apartments
I am a current resident of this complex and have nothing but issues since I moved in last year. To start, when I signed the lease I told them I wanted a garage, it took two and half weeks with numerous visits to the office after moving in to make that happen. They told me to tell them what numbers were near my apt, as if they shouldn't already know this, and then I had to wait for them to get around to figuring out if someone else was already renting the garage and if it was empty and in working order. Not long after moving in I heard there were a few instances of crime in the complex including a car jacking right outside my front door. This lead them to putting in gates all around the complex. Well, the gates went in last fall and we still don't have the appropriate access. If you want to have a visitor or receive a pkg you have to take your gate card to the person coming in and have them use it to get in as there are no key pads for the to call your apt as we were told there was going to be. The only way you can walk outside of the gate is to walk to the office where the only doors are located at or get in your car to leave. This is hard for those who have kids that get the school bus right outside of the gate. As I mentioned for pkgs, you have to take your key card down because they won't give the Fed-Ex delivery person access and they no longer accept pkgs at the office. Lastly, I have asked them once in a year to fix something in my apt. First they didn't have a key, so they copied mine, then they didn't have the part, so I waited for that. They when they did come to "fix" it, they didn't even fix anything. They moved the parts around so half of the door works and half doesn't. And as another reviewer states there are random black outs or you find the water shut off without reason or notification. Save yourself some frustration and find a different place to call home.

We are sorry that you are unsatisfied with your experience at Portofino Landing. This is not the level of resident service that we strive to achieve. Please call the corporate office at 972-619-0775 and we will be happy to discuss this matter in more detail.
HORRIBLE place!!! NOTE: this was my 1st apartment and did not have experience. I lived there for 1 year from 2014-2015. In that time frame I witness the results of 3 apartment break in's, 2 group robberies where the victims where beaten, and another 3 car robberies. There was a hit and run on my own car and due to no camera's or active security I was on my own to pay for the damages. The unit A/C and heater was broken for 6 months after multiple request to fix. The unit had black out's for no reason. I also had a roach problem, the office did have someone come and spray but I still had the issue after. BUT the final issue is the icing on the cake. As this was my first apartment I did not have full education on the steps that I should take when moving out. But my lack of education should not excuse customer service. When I moved out there was never a formal process. I never received a walk through therefore I never received a move out expectation form indicating the actual day I moved out. I turned in my keys and asked them do I need to do anything else and when can I receive my deposit. The lady at the office said we would have to take a look at the apartment. Months later I received a notice that I owed the apartment $105 for apparently "staying in the apartment a day over my move out date." The reviews may seem dramatic but the reviews here are true. This place is not a place to live.

We are very sorry you had a bad experience, this is not our typical service. Please call management at 972-619-0751 and we will be happy to discuss this matter in more detail.
Stay far far away...... First off I was promised a apartment on the first floor but 2 days before move in was told all that was available was third floor. Never the less I took it. What a mistake these apartments are so out dated for the price of rent. So many different faces in the office to handle businesses. I have complained so many times about my carpet needing to be replaced due to the smell that was left from previous renters. When the weather is hot it smells like I have a apartment full of dogs or cats which I have neither of. We have a plug in the dinning area that you can hear frying in the wall one night it started smoking and my 9 year old just happened to see it. We called the fire department out & they cut off all ties to the plug. we call the office very first thing the next morning they did not come to look at the plug until almost closing time in the front office after I called again & even after that all they did was replace the outside plastic cover that had melted away. Me & my husband bearly sleep because of this praying our apartment does not go up into flames one day because the frying in the wall still remains as it was at first. I could go on and on. Robberies, change of rules after lease has been signed, bad choice of schools for the area, way too many apartment complexes right besides one another. We just don't want to break out lease otherwise we would have been gone week 1. The only positive thing is probably our neighbours but other than that you have been warned STAY AWAY....
The apartments are full of roaches. Get a signed written copy of everything or the leasing office will use the lack of documentation to put off repairs for months. My apartment was over 90 degrees for more than a month. The price may be tempting but with the holes in the roof leaking water into the buildings (I've experienced leaks so severe it reached my ceiling and is leaking into my apartment more than once) it probably won't be worth it with the risk for mold. So many better options with a more prompt and accommodating staff in this area! I would highly recommend shopping around.
the apartments are okay well so far as ive been there theres some pros and some cons the pros are that we get free electricity on weekends. its a comfortable enviroment, the maintanece crew are mostly on time and theres residential events. the cons are theres roaches and too many theres no washer and dryer hook ups, my apartments is on the third floor, and i cant trust any neighbors for the simple fact that someone rigged my electricity box outside. they see that i have a new born baby with two other kids which people should have some respect and sympathy. and my rent is 892 per month not including any itilities which i dont think its worth that much. but its liveable.
