Sitting on the shores of Lake Michigan, St. Joseph is an excellent place for families who want a suburban feel with a coastal touch. The neighborhoods are safe and the schools are outstanding. According to Niche.com, St. Joseph Public Schools have the 5th best teachers and the 13th best school district in Michigan. Right at the mouth of St. Joseph River lies the historic Silver Beach Carousel and Museum. Take a spin on one of the hand carved realistic animals and learn about the Silver Beach Amusement Park that was open from 1892 to 1971. The community also enjoys the annual Blossomtime Festival, the oldest festival in the state, which celebrates the agricultural industry.
Locals take advantage of the thrilling coastal views by taking a trip to North Pier Lighthouse at Tiscornia Beach or the Warren Dunes State park where impressive mountains of sand tower 250 feet above the lake. Canoeing, kayaking, and fishing are extremely popular as well.

Property Ratings at 917 Pearl St
Left the apartment in better condition than it was received. Tried reaching out to the landlords several times by phone and email...took months before I got a response. They did not do a walk through of the apartment on our departure date and gave no reason or letter about any sort of damages, repairs, or mods that needed to happen after we left...even though I was in constant contact with them about issues in the unit!! Gave some bogus excuse as to why the deposit was not being refunded and never heard from them again...don't waste your time with these landlords...they spent too much money on the complex and are trying to recoup costs . Find yourself some reputable landlords. Oh, don't forget about the mass roach infestation and the mice that you may find in your unit!

Good luck trying to get anything from the new landlords...too busy focusing on trying to recoup the money they lost from constant repairs to the building from the old landlords. You will not get your deposit back no matter what condition you leave the apartment in and the rooms develop mold in the winter due to the plaster walls, especially if you live on either end of the building. Basement is gross and the dryers are a fire hazard. Trash is always left outside the building and the landlords won't have it removed for weeks
The location is the only good part of this apartment. The parking is very annoying. But what's awful is the communication. The local manager has no power and must contact the owners for anything. It takes days for them to respond. It took them weeks to give us a price for the rent, and even then the prices were different. How do they now know their own prices? The parking is only large enough for one car for each apartment at most. The appliances are very old, and the laundry room feels really depressing. The rooms are old and in need of renovation, but don't expect anything to be done when the owners aren't even in the same hemisphere.
