Due to the heat pump's compressor, there is a pipe that releases evaporated water outside the home. The solar panels mean that most of the electricity is offset and thus there is far less, to no, potential electric consumption and bills direct to the resident. It is situated on acreage that has native chaparral surrounding it and native wildlife abounds. The landscaping is purposely drought-tolerant to reduce water consumption.
