Property Ratings at Ridge View Apartment Homes
This apartment is so nice and quiet I love how it has a park and I can take my kids there anytime(btw they love going to the park).
Property Manager at Ridge View Apartment Homes, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your positive experience! We're thrilled to hear that you and your kids are enjoying the park. We appreciate your feedback and hope you continue to have a wonderful stay with us!
Mold, mice, bugs, appliances that do not work. Maintenance claims they are not aware of complaints filed yet I have put in numerous requests. I have a toddler, a dog and myself, it has been two weeks since they found mold yet nothing since to rectify. Run, this site made me choose a star. They do not deserve a star at all.
Since moving in we have had several issues and they are rarely addressed on time (if at all). From the beginning (we have been there over 12 months) we had issues with the oven which still does not work. We had the dryer replaced, however when it was it was not connected properly and does not dry clothes. I discovered mold under the fridge due to a leak and we have yet to hear back (it is going on two weeks now) which is extremely concerning as we have also have a small child and dog. We have also made several maintenance calls and very few are responded to. We also had the security door to the building smashed and it was left open for over 3 months. You definitely want to look elsewhere!
We lived for less than 6 months so far and it has been nothing like what I’ve expected. The apartment itself is nice BUT it has been fights outside in the parking lot, police or ambulance coming to the complex at least three times a week, and a huge mice problem ( I clean and disinfect my apt every night for this problem and they still come into my apt through the multiple holes in the walls ). Hopefully these problems get resolved but until then I would definitely reconsider moving here.
I wouldn’t say it’s completely terrible but it’s not good either!! I have mice & complained about it for a month before an exterminator finally came out & clearly did nothing, no holes patched up, no traps nothing. Management does nothing about noise complaints, neighbors are very loud. Walls and floors are so thin, it sounds like your neighbors live in the apartment with you! The office staff is nice, but overall not a good experience
I have lived at Ridgeview for a few years. The maintenance of the property is horrible. We had a problem with hot water. It would take 5 minutes to get hot water to flow from the faucets. After 6 months of that problem, they tweaked something, then the hot water would run out consistently after 5 minutes. Not a pleasant daily experience while in the shower - 6 MONTHS ! After another 3 months of that issue, they tweaked it again and now the water that comes out of the faucets is over 200 degrees. - tell your children to beware. They had a water leak under the parking lot, which was dug up in June 2019. They fixed the leak and have not paved over the loose stone that was used to fill in the large hole. The hole is right on a main thoroughfare. Been that way for 10 months now. The common hallways are hardly ever vacuumed. The property often has trash all over the parking lot and grassy areas. There are not enough dumpsters for full capacity buildings and they are often overflowing before they are emptied once a week.
I'm a new resident of the Ridgeview Apartment community as of August, 2019 and I must say, everything that I was looking for in an apartment I found here. My experience from the application process to the signing of my lease was a pleasant one. The leasing consultant name Cory was very helpful in answering any questions I had about the community. The grounds are well maintained and its a pretty quiet community except for the occasional noise from the ambulance going to Franklin Square. I love the area because its accessible to everything. It is my hope that Ridgeview Apartments will be my home for a while.
So this is my 10th attempt to speak with management about the problems in this apartment. First there are kids that sit infront of my apartment and smoke weed & my neighbor smokes cigarettes in the hall way as well. At this point my living room , dinning room & kitchen smell like smoke everyday. The kids also have attempted to burn my front door. There are pictures of the burn marks that the leasing office hasn't done anything about. These kids have also broken into my car. I told the leasing office and all they said was call the police. One morning I woke up around 6am and I opened my door and there was a guy sleep infront of my door. My biggest complaint are the roaches. I have told the leasing office multiple times about them and every week all they do is send the exterminator but at this point it's not working my apt is supper clean the maintenance & exterminator have both said the same thing they even told the leasing office that they were surprised that i was having this problem based off how well I keep my apt. I have asked the manager in the leasing office about moving me to another apartment and she told me that they were going to try one more time to exterminate the pest and then we'll try to find a new apartment. Well that was about 2 months ago & everyweek since I've had to get a exterminator it's uncomfortable & not to mention I have allergies & I am asthmatic so the roaches & the smoke makes my breathing hard and I use my inhaler about 7 times a day now. At this point I either want them to find me a new apartment or to let me out of this lease.
Upon looking for an apartment, i came across Ridgeview. I called and set up an appointment yesterday went in and looked at a 2 bedroom apartment. While they did not have anything available for my time frame yet, I was pleasantly surprised. The grounds were very clean and well manicured. The apartment was very spacious and had all the amenities I was looking for. The office staff was very kind and knowledgable. I will definitely be coming back when its time for me to move.
I read the reviews about bad management of this apartment complex, but still decided to go look at the apartment. I was amazed. You have to be super talented to turn people away in less than 5 minutes. We didn't even get to see the model and left. Very arrogant girl in the leasing office.
My stay here has been a pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Stacey at the front desk, always greets me with a smile. I would highly recommend this complex to a friend.
This community is clean, safe and well maintenanced. The staff is always making sure the tenants' needs are met. They are always courteous and helpful. I would recommend this neighborhood to everyone I know!
The community is decent. Neighbors are kind and usually follow leasing rules such as quiet hours; however, there has been an increase in car theft in the area. The leasing office takes quite some time to respond to your emails and maintenance takes even longer to fix issues in the building. The area is usually clean, but there is an issue with mice during the winter months. All in all I'd give Ridgeview a 7.5/10. I'm not dissatisfied but I don't always feel like I'm receiving my money's worth also.
I've had my eye on this complex for 2 years. I was finally able to move to Ridge View Apartments June, 2015. I love it here! This is definitely my community. I love the space I now have. I love having washer/dryer in my apartment. Managers and maintenance are wonderful. Most of all I love the rent. I wish I would have moved sooner.
The apartments itself are very nice. Love the way the cabinets and kitchen look. My only issue is while walking to the apartment - there are a lot of people who smoke and I have a toddler and so the smell bothers him because it enters the apartment. Maintenance is very responsive and attentive and the property looks very clean. The leasing office has very nice people who help and work with you . overall its been a good experience.
i have been in this apartment for two years now.and i found it on aparments.com.My apartment is spacious well designed and very comfortable.the building is quiet and view of the forest is sooo .. relaxing all my friends and family.love my place.the manager is so sweet and very easy to commicate with.the chance to offer a honest review of ridgeview aptmartment homes is my pleasure ....only regret that my lease ends in october and i will be moving to be closer to my childs school....so back on apts.com.for my search again.
Had a few minor issues when first moving in, issues were fixed in a timely manner. Area overall clean, usually quiet besides the ambulance since the hospital isn't too far.
I've been with Ridgeview Since 7/14/14. The date of my move in... The A/C was broke. The property had me and my sister in a 98 degree apt. I contacted corporate and they had it resolved and credited my rent 2 days worth. Fast forward to May of 2015 and the A/C breaks again. At this point it's creates a breeze with a slight cooling to it ... Be its simply pushing air but it isn't cooling the Air itself. I contacted the property MULTIPLE times and given there insufficient amount of due diligence when it comes to maintenance.. They kept swearing nothing was wrong with the A/C that ran about 7/8 hours to just come down from 92 down to 84 (which its actually set to 74 or 76). My bill for my electric I thought would increase slightly. My May electric bill.. ^$20 higher. I was somewhat okay with that. (KEEP in mind I'm still calling them letting them know something isn't right with the A/C even though they have came out 4-5 times)June bill comes (my avg portion of the bill for electric accounted for $32) the portion of my ELETRIC ALONE jumped to $108. I expect sufficient maintenance and just fairness. I am a on time paying resident who besides this complaint and the lacking of maintenance and due diligence; I truly like the property. I then escalate to corporate they request that I send them a copy of my last 6 eletric bills... I comply and do so. A day or two later a new bill was generated. The eletric portion of the bill reached to $156. When I calculated my very transparent and honest fair charges I was being billed and liable for an extra $219.44 for the 3months of horrible issues with the AC. I contacted corporate and asked the difference ($219.44) be credited to my rent In addition to the current cycle I'm in (month 4 is this problem).. They responded with a $50 credit. I did everything right that I was supposed to, I contacted them MULTIPLE TIMES AT LEAST 6-8 before I contacted corporate. I contacted corporate. I reminded them it has issues from day 1 literally & I complied with giving them the documentation they requested. I thought the property and company was reasonable I would've have shut up and kept it moving but unfortunately I don't have the money like that to pay $219 and counting! Just disgusts me that they are offering a measly $50 credit It has made me reconsider even giving this property any more of my money.
This complex is like a hidden gem. It's close to white marsh and Towson mall. Schools like Towson and CCBC. I haven't had many complaints beside a few mice now and then but that's expected when living on the bottom floor the price is great and u have updated appliances with washer and dryer I have been completely satisfied.
Save your money and RUN!!!! Maintenance deserves a 0
