Lake Orion is located approximately 40 miles north of downtown Detroit. It is small and rural enough to still have winding country roads and open spaces, but also full of luxurious homes and the Indianwood golf course, which often hosts PGA events. The town is full of large lakes that can accommodate speed boats and other water sports and smaller lakes that are perfect for fishing and kayaking.
With its small-town feel and vacation atmosphere, Lake Orion has attracted a lot of commuters searching for a picturesque neighborhood to call home. A quick, 10-minute commute south down I-75 and residents will find themselves in the heart of the Motor City and Chrysler's world headquarters.

Property Ratings at Orion Cove Apartments
The buildings are older, but my 3 br 2 bath apartment is quite larger than what I would get elsewhere for more. If there's an issue, the maintenance team is awesome and will do everything they can to make it right fast. I have a deck overlooking a lake, it's dog friendly...what more can I ask for. The team here is great! It's worth checking out.
I’ve lived at Orion Cove, I think, for 8 or 9 years, and I’m renewing my lease again this month. I love calling this place my home. From the well manicured grounds, to the friendly and professional staff, this complex checks all the boxes for me... especially with our new management and maintenance crew. The manager here, takes a personal interest in every tenant. Each individual question or request is followed through. The friendly maintenance team responds quickly, and completes their work, consistently well done. These apartments are larger than any other apartments in the area. My two bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment measures 1160 sq.ft., which is unbelievable...and a one bedroom at 810 sq. ft. is nowhere else to be found. They are competitively priced, give you more for the dollar and have the prettiest surroundings in the area.
Management and maintenance is always attentive as soon as I request they respond quickly and they always do their best to make sure we are satisfied and comfortable 2020
Under new management - Christi and her team have made drastic improvements to Orion Cove. Friendly and professional. When you need something fixed, they are on it! You don't wait for days anymore. And, if its beyond repair, they will replace it- not put a "band-aid" on it and wait for a disaster! Great community. Quiet, friendly neighbors and pet friendly complex!
We’ve lived here for about a year now and it’s been quiet, and a mostly pleasant experience. I just have a few things that have been frustrating over this past year. 1. Parking. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to park all the way in front of a totally different building because there is no parking available in front of our building. This has been especially hard being pregnant with painful disabilities, and with an infant and a toddler, having to carry them and all of the things that comes along with them, during winter for long walks to the building. Either people don’t adhere to the 2 car limit, or there is insufficient parking. It’s always so difficult to get a decent parking spot and it’s really frustrating. 2. The coin laundry is expensive. Two kids and two adults, it costs us $15-20 for one weeks worth of laundry which I find absurd. 3. Snow removal is poor. We live in Michigan and it snows a lot. I can’t tell you how many times it would take literal days for snow to be removed from walk ways and the parking lots. This is a safety concern and should be better. 4. The fridge is crap. It’s small, like in apartments, but it freezes food in the back of the fridge and melts food in the freezer. We’ve taken it up with them and they’ve told us that it’s too full, although it doesn’t always do this only when it’s full. Overall it’s fine living here, it’s a pretty quiet community and the apartments are of decent quality for the price, we have just had some minor issues over the past year.
i am so happy to have been living here with my husband for the past three years and can say that this truly is a great community to live in here the office personal go above a job whn you have a problem that needs additional help to fix it and are just the nicest people to talk with when paying you rent
Let me just start by saying, this place was a great start. They accept you with little to no credit and the bare minimum money requirement. However, this is the worst apartment place I have ever lived in. Let's start with the fact that they can enter your apartment without your permission and yes, it's legal. They claim it under " maintenance repairs" but all the time? Really? Second, they do not hesitate to charge you for everything. We had to have a big guy come in to spray our apartment and he couldn't spray that day and they tried to charge us for him to come back! We refused and they backed off, shocking right? They try to get as much money as possible from you. Oh and don't think about putting any plants on your balcony unless it's their approved time of the year to do so. Decorative lights either, nothing to show originality. You can't even have furniture out in the winter! What if you're a smoker who wants to sit down? Nope, not at dictator cove. And finally, the gems in the office. The worst people you will ever have to deal with. zero empathy required. Don't be fooled, when you go in there and ask about the reviews, they'll say the people are lying. They were a disturbance and so they're bitter, but guess what, we weren't. This is from the bottom of my heart, do not rent here. This place is terrible and competely not worth it.
My boyfriend and I just moved into our apartment this year in August. I'm not going to say it's been the easiest living with him, but it's been fun! Orion cove has such an easy going environment. There are only 6 apartments per building which makes doing laundry a breeze! In the time I've been here I haven't ran into any one doing laundry or had to wait to do mine. The pool on the grounds is very clean and usually not over crowded. But what really sold me on Orion Cove was the lady who first met with us to show us the grounds and tell us more about life at Orion Cove. She was probably a little older than my boyfriend and I but she explained everything in the easiest way to understand. Which is rare to see in business folk. I usually get the people who use these corporate words and make me feel like a jumbled mess at the end of our conversation. But after that first meeting with her I knew this was the place I wanted to live. I called my boyfriend and the next day we signed our lease. Since moving in we haven't had any trouble with anything and we love it here!
Take a look around and you will know you are home here. Great scenery, large pool, spacious patios and close to everything in downtown Lake Orion. The apartments are roomy with plenty of storage, management is very helpful and the staff are friendly. Nicole M, Lake Orion Mi.
This is a good apartment for you if you like a lot of space, want budget friendly options and stay close to everything in town. Located close to downtown Lake Orion. Good management, pet friendly, Well maintained grounds, outdoor pool and spacious balconies. Good place to call home.
While the apartments here are large, they are also cozy and close to everything here in Lake Orion. Good managers here who get to know you personally. Nice pool with spacious balconies. They accept your pet friend too which is a must for our family. Grounds are kept up very well here.
Well first off, the rent is very affordable for one who is starting off on their own for there first time(especially considering the size of the apartment). Easy living and quiet neighborhood. Love it because it's close to both the mall and free way. Maintenance responds almost immediately Love the pool and how the downtown is in walking distance. The only negative side is not having the option to have a washer and dryer installed.
The management staff is nice and the maintenance people are great. The problem is that the apartments are not worth the rent that is charged. If I knew then what I know now, I would never have moved in here. Now I am moving out for something more worth the cost.
