Property Ratings at Abalon Pointe Apartments
We understand this is a smoking friendly property but this is a ridiculous situation. Please read on. We made it clear before signing any lease we were sensitive to smoke and the male apartment manager assured us this would not be an issue. The smell is in every room but particularly strong under the kitchen sink and in the closets. We did our own deep cleaning and it didn't help. Essential oil diffusers, febreze, odor traps, nothing helped. Our throats hurt constantly after a few weeks of these conditions. We requested a fix right away but it took multiple complaints and a few WEEKS before they gave us a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier pulls 3-4 gallons daily. The smell remains. Then they sent someone to paint one room to solve the issue, he sprayed paint all over the floors permanently marking them. The smell did not improve. Finally the apartment maintenance man suggested we fog the apartment. This was a hug ordeal. The man who fogged the apartment was professional and said this process was done when fire damage has occurred so should do the trick, nothing changed. The smell is constant but stronger some days than others. We have lived here a month and a half with this god awful smell. We are pretty confident the smell is coming from the downstairs unit. We asked the maintenance man, who has just left the position, and he told us he thinks we are right. That the unit below us has a tenant that smokes a lot and has lived there a long time. We approached both managers asking to move apartments since nothing has improved. Their answer is an additional $200 fee to move apartments when one eventually comes available. I asked if the fee could be waved considering the circumstances and was told no. Then it was implied I should be happy the fee isn't higher like $400- which is what the original moving in fees totaled. Most upsetting of all, at this last meeting I was told the apartment we moved into was known to have long time smokers in it before us by the female apartment manager. I asked why we were not informed of this and she claimed it's because we spoke with the male apartment manager and not her. Why this two person staff cannot communicate with each other I do not understand. We really love the location and layout of these apartments but can not believe the way we have been treated. This apartment needs an air quality inspection as we suspect it is not safe. The dehumidifier still pulls many gallons of water out daily and the smell is strong as ever.

We do offer to clean the units, but being a smoking property there is a possibility there will be residual smell. I apologize that you are un happy with your current apartment, and hope we can fix that by switching units and waiving a portion of the deposit!
WE MOVED IN AND IMMEDIATELY THE APARTMENT REEKED OF MOLD, MILDEW AND CIGARETTES AND ITS COSTING US $200 TO SWITCH UNITS. Mold in the apartments, everything falling apart. Management is rude and degrading, asks for 'proof' ever time a simple noise complaint is made when our neighbors are blasting action movies on a Tuesday into the am. I've lived in apartments for half my life and this is hands down the worst place i've ever lived. There are so many other cheaper beautiful properties in Olympia and surrounding cities- stay very very very far away from this one.

I apologize for your negative experience dealing with this situation! Please feel free to call the office so we can work towards a solution! (360) 352-0483
Lived here 11 years. Apts are large with a closet pantry. Very noisy in summertime if you live near the pool or basketball court. My rent has been raised around $100.00 on average the last 3 years. Apartment rules enforced only if convenient for management. If you live in my unit after I move, be prepared to keep your windows closed as the neighbors downstairs smoke all hours of the night, also, marijuana smoke comes up through the cabinets under the sink.Sawdust deposits in kitchen drawers from opening and closing them.I liked living here till owner used a management company to run it.
The rent is kinda high to live on your own, but with a roommate or significant other it is decent. There is a pool open during the summer which is pretty cool. The apartments are nice and large, even the smallest rooms can hold a queen sized bed and a desk for school. There is even a small playground for kids in the complex, which is safe and a good alternative if the kids want to play without a parent needing to go with them. I love living here.
These apartments have a very generous living room for an apartment. The new management has worked really hard to make changes that make these apartments comfortable. Come take a look for yourself.
These apartments are a great place to live being so close to a shopping mall, great restaurants, and close to parks. The grounds are maintained regularly with beautiful flowers and trees. There are 2 pools which include one for the kids. A great playground and basketball court. The friendly staff is very helpful. This is a beautiful and a great place to live.
I've enjoyed my stay at Abalon Pointe so far. Friendly, helpful staff, great location with very affordable pricing for the size of the units. Optional washer/dryer? Heck yes! I look forward to being here for quite awhile.
Good sized apartments in the heart of the urban center of West Olympia. Very responsive management but pretty defensive. I've experienced some mold issues but this is Washington. It's hard to beat the affordability, it's not fancy but overall worth the challenges!
I just moved to Abalon Pointe and out of all the places i have lived this is by far the best very nice ppl
I really enjoy living at Abalon. The management is always there when you need them and they have been extremely nice and helpful. Maintenance is always right on top of anything you need fixed and keeping the grounds very nicely maintained. Its a nice place to live also because it is right in town and close to everything which my son loves. Another thing I like about Abalon is the size of the bedrooms...They enormous and I love that. You think the apartment is going to be small until you go in an check out the bedrooms. All in all great place to live. The pool is also great and always very clean and maintained very nicely.
Abalon Pointe is situated at a prime location. It is close to downtown city life and just close enough to have the feel of a country sea scape. The apartment units are quaint two to one bedrooms with ample living room and kitchen space to have a nice get together with cherished family and friends. One of the factors my wife and I felt a dept connection is the ambiance of the outdoor space and the ammenties; an outdoor pool and the 24 hour gym near by.
It's a good apartment. Can't complain much easy living, and they allow big dogs.
My apartment community is a park like setting with easy access to city life. Pet friendly, spacious and designed with privacy in mind. It has wonderful light with a comfortable feel. The bathroom has a large mirror and is available from the master bedroom. It has nice closets and outside storage. A pool, free internet, and an efficient property management that team complete the picture!
These apartments are great to live in. We have one of the biggest 2 bedroom apartment homes in the area. Our community of Apartments is a nice place to live because we are located close to shopping centers, banks, and eating establishments. Our Apartments have nice landscaping which is maintained on a regular basis as well as a pool and lounge area with chairs. Our cabana is also available for private birthday parties etc. The staff is great. If there is a maintenance issue they are very prompt with getting your issue done. Management is friendly and always smiling and very helpful. Check the apartment homes out. You wont be disappointed.
Abalon Pointe is a really nice apartment. I have no complaints on the actual apartment or management.
Abalon Pointe is an affordable place to live in West Olympia. It is located near the mall, grocery stores, and a short walking distance to bus stops. It is an older complex, but overall nice and cozy. Management has always been friendly to us and we haven't had any issues with other tenants. Mainly young families and college students.
I love the cost. The water included with rent, along with comes with washer and dryer and dish washer for a good price.
