Property Ratings at Abbey Lane Apartments
Living here is fine until you need something fixed or replaced. Time to get it fixed can range from 3 days - never. And management doesn't respond when an update is requested about when said item will be fixed. I also had to reclean my apartment when i moved in because the doors and walls were really gross. There was also laundry in the dryer and nasty pots and pans in the drawer under the stove upon move in. I've lived in other apartment complexes before and my apartment was always spotless upon move in and management responded same or next day without fail.
Property Manager at Abbey Lane Apartments, Responded To This Review
I am sorry you had a negative move in here at our community! Please contact us at the office (360) 451-2822 if there's anything we can address.
Management is very friendly and quick to respond to any issues. I moved in to a very clean and updated 3 bedroom apartment. There's plenty of storage and the wooden floors and new window treatments are a huge plus. It's unbelievably quiet at night, I think the forest backdrop helps absorb any noise. There's a really nice walking trail just behind the community and some amazing forest trails just minutes away by car. Tons of local shopping and quick access to I-5! So far, this place has been great, with an indoor pool and hot tub, it would be excellent! Hint....
The apartments are ok, but they do not take care of the grounds or exterior of the apartments very well. There is no place for children to play. Quite frankly not enough for the money you pay
I have lived at Abby Lane for 10 years now and I love it here! The staff is accommodating, quick to respond to any issues and the location is great. Close to all kinds of shopping, transportation, medical professionals and the hospital is right across the street. The property is kept clean and the area is nice and quiet.
I've enjoyed living here for 8 years. Staff has been great.
I like the apartment itself but I'm not thrilled with the noisy neighborhood.
Affordable. Location is good. Parking lot is connected to the Chehalis Western nature trail (which leads to target/fred meyers/other shopping). Apartment is near the freeway, bus stops, and downtown Olympia is a less than 10 minute drive away. GOOD APARTMENT FOR PETS! I have a dog and both units I have lived in had patios with nice privacy and shade so I could let him chill outside for a few minutes during the day. Also, as mentioned, the nature trail is a great place for walks with dog and child in tow, and leads right to the pet store. I've lived in two different units. The second was much nicer, freshly painted with new edging. They've recently bolstered the maintenance crew, which may be why the second unit was in better condition. However, maintenance is still understaffed, and it can take a while for non-emergency stuff to be dealt with (trade off of lower rent I would think). The maintenance guys are friendly and professional. I don't smoke, and was a little surprised by the amount of smokers, but it's clearly listed on the lease that smoking is allowed, so my own fault for missing it. Just a heads up to people who may find this a deal breaker. They have larger non-refundable fees than other comparably priced apartments, probably to compensate for the need to repaint, re-carpet, etc. more often. In conclusion, a good place to live if you are on a budget, have a pet, and don't mind the smoking and occasionally slow maintenance.
If you love beautiful forest like calm and climbing ivy for a view, this is the perfect apartment complex for you! Including gorgeous views, these apartments are very spacious, with washer and dryers in each unit as well as dishwasher and beautiful balconies. Great location, on the bus line and easy access to the chehalas walking trail! Come and enjoy the view at abbey lane!
My apartment is like living in the forest. Nice shady area. Come with a game room, lounge, where you can bar-be-que and have fun in sun or shade. If you don't have transportation, you right near the bus line. If like walking it has a trail. I don't even have to take laundry out to the laundry-mat,come with a washer and dryer. You may call it, "apartments" I call it "homes".
I really like living here at abbey lane when something needs to be done it gets done right away
The problem is the neighbors who shake the complex in the middle of the night, throw nails everywhere in the parking area, and leave trash in the walkways.
Roomie for one person. But the beighbors aren't good
Pros: -The area is nice and the location is convenient. It is right next to a beautiful trail that can be walked or biked down and it is close to many things while still being far enough away that it doesn't feel crowded. It is also located next to a bus stop, so it is not hard to get anywhere in Olympia and Lacey even if you do not own a vehicle. -It is generally a quiet place. -They allow pets. -The apartments are spacious and come with everything you would need in a home. -It is inexpensive to live here, without being under the "affordable housing act," which has a maximum income and many hoops to jump through. Cons: -It takes maintenance quite a while to get any work done when something goes wrong in your apartment. -The main office is rarely open.
