Property Ratings at Abbey Lane
All in all, Abbey lane apts is a cool place to live. One of the best apartment complex's in Danbury for sure!
I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to call home. I love the community and fun events.
I’ve been very fortunate to experience loving at this apartment complex. Between the cleanliness, and prompt repair services, I was very satisfied.
The apartment complex is astonishing. The community is family friendly. The Management there is very good. I recommend moving here for the best living arrangements. Also the events are amazing.
Luxurious living and prompt maintenance service when needed.
i enjoyed my stay here, my stay was comfortable while living here.
The management here is AMAZING! And the apartments are pristine and the environment is very clean. The pool is amazing and also the gym.. The community here is nice and family friendly. I recommend checking it out!!
I would only rent here if i decide to move to the danbury area, they have everything i need for me & my 6 person family & then some. Pool, gym, underground parking!! It doesnt get any better than this folks!
Ariq was great. He showed me a 3 bedroom for this upcoming November, a C2. I loved the layout and loved the 5th floor.
The leasing office was very professional and friendly. They gave me all the information i needed to pick my new home.
I was impressed by the staff at the community upon arrival, i was able to tour a 1 bed coming up this fall & i can bring my Beagle! Seems to be a nice pet friendly community.
Definitely a great place to live. I recommend to any and everyone.
Loved this place. It had everything I was looking for.
Abbey was the best property i have toured in the area! Ariq was fantastic and very informative.
I found my new apartment at Abbey Lane, move in next month. They even have parking underneath the building.
The community had a lot to offer and is my top pick around this area. The staff was pleasant and accommodating to my tight schedule when it came to touring.
Best property in Danbury area, had everything i needed & more
I am glad I did not go by the negative reviews and decided to tour this complex. The views are amazing!!! As I entered the leasing office I was greeted with respect. I recommend you check out Abbey Lane if you want as spacious unit with beautiful wood views.
I lived here during the pandemic and what a horrible decline in management and overall upkeep of the complex. Everything in the unit is cheaply made and will fall apart. Would not live here! Police have to constantly come for DV situations. Smelly hallways, and shady management. DONT LIVE HERE!!
I have lived at Abbey Lane for 5 1/2 years. The apartment is spacious and the property is well kept. The people that work in the office are ALWAYS polite, knowledgeable and assist in all capacities. Maintenance is very quick to fix any problem that comes up. They are constantly upgrading and put the tenants first! I highly recommend renting here, it really is a great value and includes a heated pool, fitness center and clubhouse.
Construction quality is horrible. You can hear tenants above walking around like a herd of cattle (no insulation between the floors) and talking (through the vents). Apparently I have a newborn above me. Life safety system goes off every time I use the oven. Management told me to open my windows when I cook (It gets cold in CT during the winter). Cleaning is a problem - the common areas smell. No storage options on site because the are all leased. Frequent visits from the police for DV issues. On site management is not very professional. Ownership is primarily an Office investor so, they don't know what they are doing. I'm not renewing for a second year.
This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. If I could give this 0 stars I would. We pay for one of the newer/nicer units and there is no chance we are getting what we pay for. The complex is ran like a college campus with unhelpful and incompetent management at every turn. I can't have packages delivered here because they are either lost or stolen because mail trucks just dump all the packages in the main lobby floor and are not safely stored or placed in correct mailboxes as the mail room rep does not get in until 2pm mon-sat. We have put work orders in from everything to the downstairs bathroom flooding, to the microwave door breaking twice, unchanged air filters and much more. Also our front main entrance door has not been able to lock fully until now since we moved in over a year ago despite two separate work orders being submitted. Guests need to be signed in every night and run the risk of getting towed. Children run around the complex screaming and pulling fire alarms which have gone off over a dozen times. Speed bumps were implemented improperly causing damage to our vehicles. People have their pets go to the bathroom in front of my window daily. There is so much wrong with this complex. I would highly advise if you enjoy living freely and getting what you pay for then look elsewhere. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!
Let me start with the positives, the apartment sizes are great very spacious. Now to the negatives, the walls are thin, neighbors are not mindful, they are just letting ANYONE live here. I thought this was for “working people” & I know with covid things have changed but literally ANY and EVERYBODY can & does live here. The office isn’t as much help as they claim to be. When you make a complaint their suppose to address it. There responses often are “there’s nothing we can do or they said it wasn’t them” in regards to neighbors being obnoxious. There are kids running up & down the hall. Neighbors smoking in the parking lots of “smoke free buildings”. There are people walking their dogs on properties that are “pet free”. Everyone is just allowed to do what they want As far as the pool. No one follows the rules & there isn’t anyone to make sure it is happening. It’s gotten so bad that we have a “pool monitor” he is very young & there’s nothing can do to address situations. They need to do better with the amount they charge for NOTHING.
I’ve been living here for three years. Walls are so thin, I can hear my neighbors sneezing. Very cheap material. Everything falls apart. Horrible and unprofessional service from the leasing office. Make sure to document everything that is said. They lack communication and always say “they’ll call back”, but never do. No breaks during the pandemic for amenities; we had to pay in full for the months that all common areas/amenities were closed. Other places gave back the amenity fees to their residents, but not abbey woods. The rent skyrocketed, and its not worth it. We have security now because of theft! And they’re installing cameras. They’re now making sure you’re bringing exactly two guests to the pool, BBQ, and fire pits. Doesn’t matter their age, a 1month old is still considered a guest. I had my cousin over to enjoy the pool with my newborn and I. My cousin has a 1.5 year old and a 3 year old. I was told by Ruth that I was allowed only two guest. Yessenia, the manager, assured me that i’ll need to pay for the extra guest next time, and that it doesnt matter their age. THE POOL WAS EMPTY! WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE. God forbid you have a guest that has two children under the age of 5. They are so desperate for money. It has become very unpleasant living here. It’s not worth the money. Not worth the stress
Last winter our bedrooms were cold we put in several service request they only thing maintenance did was flip the direction of the vent. They got tired of complaining and said we need to switch the locks when the windows are closed. In the summer the rooms are warmer than the rest of the apartments despite turning the thermostats low. They are very slow to respond to service requests or they dismiss you. Our dishwasher needs fixing it has been one week without an acknowledgment. During the pandemic all amenities were closed due to government orders(understandable so). I tried to write on the community board asking if amenities fees would be waived management refuse to approve my messages stated it does not meet posting policies. I told management why my post is important because I'm sure we are not the only family going through financial hardship due to the COVID-19. Eversource increased fees several people were able to voice concerns on the community board without censorship. As a result they retracted the fee increase. Several companies have waived fees including local gyms and a big company like Abbey Woods will not meet their residents halfway.
We pay a small fortune to live here. we were told it was young professionals & families. there are college parties going on until 3am, this week has been 4 days so far. Marijuana smoke fills the hallways coming into our apartment. screaming girls, shrieking & hollering. management says they will notify the tenant yet nothing changes. all our belongings smell like smoke & pot. absolutely horrible. people hang outside the club house smoking pot.
Filthy- dog excrement in stairwells, hallways, on balcony above mine.. Cheap construction Extremely loud Terrible service Smell of weed on many floors FBI invasion, complete with heavily armed officers in my elevator last summer.. Management dismissive at my concern Horrendous move out process, to the point of being charged for things that were complete nonsense. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
the property is decent, but management is incompetent and RUDE, especially Danielle. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere.
This place is awful. Utterly terrible place to live. The management is incompetent. The construction design is awful. You can hear everything happening in every apartment around you and every step your neighbors take above you. The people are inconsiderate and rude. I've lived here for almost 2 months and have regret every moment. Do NOT move here. You will hate your life.
shotty construction, thin walls, terrible management. living here for almost 2 years was nothing short of a nightmare.
Abbey Woods has a great staff to help resolve any problems that may arise although things have gone very well. It's a great location convenient to restaurants, transportation and shopping. The pool, grounds and clubhouse are always maintained very well. Just renewed our lease and love it here.
Abbey woods in Danbury ct is a wonderful community. Pet friendly and family friendly. Awesome pool and workout room.
