Property Ratings at Abbott Apartments
The best part of this place is that the units have some really great amenities (dishwasher, new stoves, etc) and there are some really nice people that live here. But there has been a huge problem in the past couple of years with multiple managers coming through and not getting much done. It’s hard to have a maintenance request filled for example. There’s also been some safety concerns with people getting into the building who don’t live here and vandalizing the property, and unfortunately some tenants just don’t treat the building with care either. Would not recommend moving here.
We blinding signed a lease all the way from PA and it was seamless! Our time at Abbott has been amazing! Great management, prime location and CLEAN facility. Sad to go but we just needed more space! Or we'd be staying! HIGHLY recommended!
I have lived here for almost 3 years and just agreed to stay another year. It’s a great place to live. Amazing location, great management, and friendly neighbors.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We are excited that you have decided to stay at Abbott Apartments for another year. Our building only feels like a community with great residents like you.
We have lived here for about six months now and love it. We we're worried about the area when we moved in because we are not familiar with Minneapolis, but it has proven to be safe. Lock cars, don't leave them running unlocked in the winter, and we had some graffiti but it was taken care of quickly and not returned. We have a dog and the park is awesome for her and they are allowed to go in the front of the building and side which is nice for the winter. The managers are great and very helpful. Things get fixed within a day for us (light out and clogged tub fixed that day) and when we were out of town and got food delivery by mistake they put it in our fridge for us and saw a light was out so got it changed. The gym is nothing special but gets the job done (more suitable for runners and only dumbbells for weights. Parking is a average price for around here and we haven't had to worry about moving much this winter for snow. We are very happy we choose this place. Close drive to everything we need and only 7$ cab to most places around.

Abbott apartments are located near downtown Minneapolis in Steven Square neighborhood occupying a newly renovated hospital building. I have stayed in Abbott for the last 3 years first in a 2 bedroom apartment (new appliances, hardwood cabinetry, dishwasher etc) and then in a 1 bedroom unit (same quality and spacious!). My neighbors here have been kind and helpful and so has maintenance and office management - they are very good about holding and signing for important packages when I'm away! There are lots of events at our building including scheduled breakfasts, barbecues, food and used clothing drives by management throughout the year to bring together the people of Abbott. I would definitely recommend Abbott!
The first thing I tell my friends is "Yea, I live in a 100-year old hospital." Their reactions are always the best from "Dude, that must be haunted or creepy as all get out!" to "Oh, you're sick?" And then I explain to them that no, I'm not sick, I just live in a historic building that was converted into beautiful apartments (and totally not creepy). This is the longest I have stayed in one apartment; I love it that much. The staff is amazing, super friendly, and despite having a ton of residents, I'm pretty sure they know everyone by name. Maintenance fixes anything super quick. They pay for heat AND central air (you seriously can't beat that) and the campus is just gorgeous. The layouts are beautiful and unique with a modern design and up-to-date appliances. This is my favorite apartment I've ever had.
Very nice updated historic building with great staff who are in communication with their residents. Close to downtown and other great neighborhoods and resteraunts.
I went into my search with a few difficult requirements: dog friendly, parking, halfway decent place and landlord, and fit within my tight budget. This place has surpassed that. I am close to downtown and uptown - with plenty of great places within walking distance. I have a lovely nearly new apartment with big windows, a nice kitchen and as a bonus central air. The apartment managers and owner care for the tenants and try to foster community. I could only love this place more if it had a full size stove instead of a 3/4. But that's not much to complain about.
