Adjacent to the city of Lansing, Michigan’s capital city, East Lansing is a vibrant college town where diversity and education is treasured. But this city isn’t just for college students and faculty! With sports stadiums, live entertainment venues, museums, local restaurants, and family-friendly neighborhoods, what’s not to like?
The city’s greatest attraction is Michigan State University, and not just for its beautiful campus, but for its big-time attractions like Spartan Stadium, the MSU Museum, and the Wharton Center for Performing Arts. And to top it off education-wise, East Lansing is home to East Lansing Public Schools, which are notoriously high-ranking. Locals appreciate the abundance of parks, including John M. Patriarch Park, a beautiful green space boasting athletic fields and a large playground.
Venture into nearby Lansing for local treasures like the Potter Park Zoo, the Michigan State Capitol, and the beautiful views of Grand River.

Property Ratings at Abbott Pointe Apartments
I moved in in August of 2022, so I have been here for 4.5 months. The garbage disposal was broken before we got there, and I immediately noticed the smell of someone else's food. After 8 calls to the office, it took them 3 weeks and a written letter saying that mold had started to grow for the office to come and fix it. My apartment smelt like death the entire time, and I obviously couldn't use my sink. There was also a smell coming from the dishwasher, and you can see from the picture that it has obviously never been clean or sanitized. On top of this, you do not get cold water here, only warm or boiling hot. This includes the shower. If I want cold water, I need to fill my Brita filter and refrigerate it. Not only that, but the water is always hazy and dirty looking. I have asked management multiple times to fix this issue and they wont. We also have an ant problem. There is no baseboards below some of the cabinets, so they are constantly in my kitchen no matter how clean I keep it. I have made multiple maintenance requests, and nothing has been done about it in 4 months. That covers everything in the kitchen, so lets talk about the bathroom. There is a smell. There are mildew spots everywhere and the vinyl flooring is peeling off in multiple places. It hasn't been renovated since the 70s, and I feel like most prison bathrooms are nicer. My shower was full of hair and soap stains when I moved in. On top of all of this, the office is not helpful at all. No one is on the same page over there. I've been told I was getting a key to the gym since I moved in and have asked about it multiple times, but still no key. The pool is never open. Here's the real kicker: Even with all of these issues, they had the nerve to ask me to re-sign next year with a $150 increase to monthly rent. You couldn't PAY ME to live here again. My apartment is disgusting, the office doesn't care about residents, and I highly recommend living somewhere else if you are looking to live here.

1. not safe 2. property has managing issues (manager especially, rude and unpleasant) 3. did not have maintenance crew 4. After 6 months of moving in, heat went out 6 times (including on Christmas), bath tub leak was never fixed, dishwasher does not dry. Doesn't matter how many tickets you created, it will be marked complete and still broken.

We regret to hear you do not recommend living at our community and would like to clarify a few details - our community does feature a full maintenance team with additional local support of other teams as needed. When you first brought the heat issue to our attention, we did update to let you know that boilers would not come on until after the temps consistently dropped below 74 degrees. Once colder temperatures arrived, we addressed a mechanical issue to ensure heat was working well and hoped the heater we provided during that maintenance period would be helpful. We also understand you entered multiple work orders regarding the issue, we do dismiss duplicate work orders and continue to work toward a resolution with our original work order (with added notes as needed/updates). Please contact the leasing office if there are current issues that we don't have work orders for, we are hopeful to elevate your experience moving forward and hope the information we have provided has been helpful.
The Abbott Pointe community is a place that you can smell weed everywhere, the smoking is coming to your unit easily and almost whole day and night your apartment smells weed strongly and it has very bad effect on your health, studying and work. The property manager does not do anything to resolve this problem. They tell you they can just send a notice without further action and smokers keep smoking weed. AVOID THIS PLACE!
Steer clear of this place as the staff seem keen on either avoid or blowing up any issues you run into. Ex: my fridge (that they provide) went out and I sent a request via the online portal but didn't receive any word or visit from maintenance. After a day and a half, I went into the office, but even then they said no one could come fix it till the next day. All that food and cleanup time wasted. Honestly, all DTN locations are just poor. They say they check on who they allow to live there, but man this place has some unique tenants. Also, not this place's fault, but if you take the bus in the morning to MSU, there are times when the bus will skip you entirely as it's too full from previous stops on the way. You can easily miss class if you need a bus at a specific time.

Do not care about their residents whatsoever. All they care about is sucking money from naive college students. Like the other low rating stated, they are incredibly vague and will take advantage when they can.
Either read this all before renting or adhere to the 1 star I gave and choose another place to live. I am not wasting your time. As a first time renter, this was not a good experience. Nothing is explained and you will learn through hardship. You will not receive a copy of your lease. At least, they will not offer to give you one even if they are supposed to(yet you are responsible to know all the information inside the lease). Request one immediately before signing to make sure it happens. You will be given a facade. I understand that customer service is a must for any business, but customers always hope it is genuine. It is *not* in this case. No one in the front office actually cares about your issues and will tell you whatever is convenient for them in that moment you ask. Do not ask for any information whatsoever: always check your lease. Your issues and opinion will be dismissed. The front office manager does not care what you think. She will be rude. She will condescend you. Complete lack of professional decorum. Do NOT miss a payment. I easily made all the payments for rent on-time via the auto-pay feature you can use online, except for one. Due to my bank making a mistake, I missed one payment and was not notified by the office till 10 whole days after the payment was supposed to occur. This was the last payment for the rent before I was out and I had already moved back home. If the online auto-pay fails, you MUST submit a money order or cashier's check to the office for the due payment as the online account is frozen until then. That being the case, I was forced to mail my payment, which I called ahead to ask if it was okay and was told yes. Less than a day later, as I told them my check was in the mail, I was slapped with a $50 late fee (which I was not told would occur if I just paid ASAP, in this case by mail for my circumstances). You would think that someone who has made all the payments on time until that one instance would receive better treatment. My payment was in the mail for 4 days. I was threatened with COURT action while my payment was still in the mail which lead to some sleepless nights. In the end, the payment arrived on a Saturday which I didn't receive confirmation of till Monday. At that time I had already lawyered up. Also, a drunk tenant brandished his gun to threaten other tenants at 12am at night in Janurary. That same night the police arrived in full SWAT and took him into custody. Be very careful, please.
The apartment was cleaned and "move-in ready" upon arrival. The Leasing Office is staffed with wonderful employees who will great you with enthusiasm and kindness. Maintenance staff are also easy to reach and respond to requests quickly. Living here is a joy!
If you can not decide where to live, Abbott Pointe is a good choice,it attaracts me by its welcomity, stuffs are nice here and you are always attached to newest information
