The mix of cosmopolitan flair and low-key atmosphere once led LA Weekly to speculate that North Hollywood just might be the best place to live in the Los Angeles area. This community has become popular among artists, writers, filmmakers, and actors seeking balance between easy access to Hollywood and a quieter, more suburban home environment.
The local food and bar scene is robust, and the bohemian vibe of the NoHo Art District attracts all manner of offbeat creative types. Uncommon among Los Angeles-area communities, much of North Hollywood is quite walkable, with food, drinks, galleries, and performance venues just a leisurely stroll away from one another. Thankfully for renters, all of the perks of this location come at a relatively affordable cost. Most renters pay an average of $2,282 to rent in North Hollywood, about $500 less than the Los Angeles average.

Property Ratings at Academy Terrace
Been here for about a year and we are staying! They take care of maintenance requests fast and always there to help. Our unit is beautiful...tile floors are awesome on a hot L.A. summer day (plus keeps our electric bill down), and we love the wood in the bedrooms. Amenities are nice and updated. Community is filled with respectful neighbors. Staff is friendly, Ruti is awesome to talk to. It’s a cozy building that is pretty homey and quiet considering how centrally located it is in the arts district. Restaurants have made outdoor dining with street barriers in the arts district during Covid-19 so we still get to enjoy eating out. Overall been a great experience and we highly recommend!
I'm giving five stars to the staff and the cleanliness of the building. Ruti has been more than helpful and we were so grateful to have her help us. Maintenance team also catered to our needs immediately and tried to help us out with everything. That being said staff is on point and cleanliness. My unit is beautiful, everything is convenient. I think I'll be staying put for a while.
This building is filled with working professionals, quiet but still lively. Neighbors are really cool and nice. People actually say hi to one another and passing which goes a long way. Just feels like everyone looks out for one another. Management is considerate. Gabby's always on top of it and get us taken care of. Had maintenance team come once and they were quick. Recommend this place to anyone
Great community. I've never had a problem with anything. Staff is cool, helpful, and accommodating. Moving in with super easy. Gabby made the process really easy for us and made us feel right at home from the start. Apartments are gorgeous and you get a lot for what it's worth
This place is a cozy gem dead center in the arts district. I went to view a 1 bedroom here and it was really really nice and big for the price, better than anything I’ve seen in NoHo. I wish I could of lived here but my move in date was off by two months from when it was available. Thanks Ruti and Academy Terrace for your time!
