Northern Hills is in northeastern San Antonio, roughly 13 miles from downtown and six miles from San Antonio International Airport. It includes the popular Northern Hills Golf Club, which is located along the southeast end of the neighborhood. The North Hills Golf Club began as a private club and it still retains some of that exclusiveness. This 18-hole golf course covers 130 acres and includes a putting green and a clubhouse.
Renting an apartment in Northern Hills allows you to live in a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood just minutes from downtown. Several shopping areas are located just outside the neighborhood, especially along Nacogdoches Road. North Star Mall, just six miles outside of Northern Hills, offers stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Dillard's, and JC Penney. If you appreciate heavy metal, visit Zombies Bar and Music Venue, directly south of the neighborhood at the corner of Bulverde Road and Thousand Oaks.

Property Ratings at Acadia on the Lake Apartments
the neighbors in the area are very rude and parking gets sparse very fast. the management has zero communication skills and everything that you need gets put on the back burner for them. we didn't have a/c or heat for months including at least 2 months before the category 5 snow storm and after as well, didnt get fixed until a week ago. and they managed to renovate their entire leasing office before fixing a necessity while it was freezing cold to blistering hot. if you want to like the place you're living at, consider another complex just be sure its not with roscoe property management.

Don’t waste your time here really. When we moved in there were under GVA property Management. They were an absolute joke. Now RPM living took over in the middle of our lease. One of the higher ups from Austin came to my apartment and I showed them all of the issues. Nothing is fixed. My electric is $300 monthly and my house is 85 all day in the summer and 65 all day in the winter. My stove has been broken since 12/23/2020 and it’s still not fixed. I have had a broken window for months and they are blaming the delay on the third party who is going to repair the window. The laundry facility is always dirty. I have the room and disinfect it before I can even do my laundry. There are always unleashed BIG and small dogs running around, and dog poop everywhere. Our car was broken into. And there is a lot of vandals even with them hiring a security guy at night. Drug dealing going on next door. Loud parties at all hours. Roosters screaming at all hours. People drinking and smoking and urinating in the pool and around the pool area until 2 am. When you email and call to complain, they claim they never have it on record. You pay for pest control and they never come. You pay for rent on time and they don’t keep their apartments maintained at all. Good luck

We had a horrible experience here! Roaches everywhere and it has foundation problems! We couldn’t even use our balcony because the railing was falling off the wall! Also the apartment looks totally different than the model. It’s more outdated! The only good thing about this place is that the staff let us break the lease so we could move to a better place! The maintenance did all they could do for us!
Roaches all over, Rats in the walls, Janie, Corine, Marlon and Rosa...

The new management is a lot better than the last. So since there is new management, I'm not going to mention those complaints, such as being over charged. New management has made the place look a lot better, such as actually enforcing the rules on what you can have on your balcony. They just the other day replaced all of the lights covering the sidewalks, and this really lights up the parking lot. Which, this isn't their fault, but plan on having your car broken into at least once, if you live up front. They should definitely put up a fence for the people parked along Thousand Oaks. The only complaint I have about new management, is that they never bothered to tell me I had packages from a previous time, when I went to ask. I had ordered something in February, and just now finally got it, when I asked for another package, in July. We got new neighbors not long ago, and the brought fleas BAD. I told the office, and they called me back two hours lately to let me know it was fixed. Maintenance is fast. Also, I hope you like ducks. :D

Thank you for sharing your review with us. We're very glad you like the new management and our improvements to the community. We apologize for the packages oversight and will make sure we correct this moving forward.
By far the worst apartments I have yet to live at.. the heater has gone out 4-5 times in the past 2 months while its freezing outside, called after hours and stated it was not an emergency unless the temperature hit 40°, and also, we currently have an infestation of Rodents in our entire building, going on 2 weeks now. I haven't been able to stay at this place since. Unbelievable when I was told there was no report on this issue when we had ALREADY called and reported the concern. It's only issue, after issue, after issue...

Excellent service, extremely satisfied with the service I've received and they have exceeded my high expectations!! The lake is beautiful and charming. Everyone on the management/maintenance staff is extremely friendly and helpful . Thank you Lindsi, Rosa, Omar, and Janie! You have made this more than just a place I live. You have made it my home!
I am living here currently, going on the 3rd month and it’s an absolute terror. Not only was the leasing mananger short and rude but previously we called before moving asking about my service dog and they said not a problem! No fee. Once my husband and I MOVED here and started our papers she changed her mind and we had to pay 375$, we had no where else to go so we had to. THEN! In my 3 months being here, I have had snakes in my bathroom and cockroaches infested in my room, I pay for pest control and never once have I had my apartment sprayed. I have to pick up my mail from the post office because the boxes are torn apart, and the laundry is a joke. Out of 3 washers and 4 dryers, there is only cold water and 1 dryer that doesn’t take 2 cycles to dry and it’s disgusting in there. Mold, cracks, mice and snakes. People here have stolen my clothes and no one does anything! The fitness center is even worse, it’s literally 2 machines attached to their leasing office with windows into the office. No options or privacy, just a small room. Water pressure completely gone, and they haven’t done anything to help us. That and their lake is also pledged with dead birds. The staff is so short and seems like they could care less about problems. Also! They add on charges they conveniently forget to tell you about. Seriously go some where else, we wished we had.
This is our third lease with this apartment complex. Its had its ups and downs but overall it is a great place to live. The apartments are quiet with hardworking people. The lake is beautiful and the amenenties are awesome. I have to admit the complex is older but with maintenance workers like Rosa things also get done. The management has also changed for the better with Jaine and Anissa they are kind and understanding and are there to meet your needs. We look forward to our next year at Acadia on the lake.
this place is truly a dangerous place to live. Other than the things listed in the title, the maintainance is inadequate. The cabinets throughout the apartment are falling apart. People bbq on their patios, you can hear people fighting through the walls, and theirs early parking available near your apt.
Unfortunately I was stuck at Acadia because I was not going to break my lease. Maintenance here is very slow , I always had problems with AC unit not cooling and leaking causing other problems in the unit. Mold formed from walls being moist from ac leak along with carpet also being ruined. You will constantly get the run around from everyone in the office and it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anybody at corporate. But when you move you better believe corporate will be contacting you for payment on "clean up fees." I regret ever moving in here, HUGE mistake!!! Look anywhere else but KELLER PROPERTY APTS.
Management is horrible here and have changed many times and if you ever need anything you'll probably wait more than a week for it. Same thing with maintenance, I had several issues one being my mailbox which they took 2 months to give me a key because they wanted to replace my lock so i had to wait for the mailman to get my mail. A/C barely works in units so just be prepared for a hot hot summer. There have been several break-ins and had a bike stolen and management didn't care. Just do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. It's not worth it.
This is our first apartment and everything about this environment is welcoming. The scenery is just outstanding and prices are understandable thanks Cali for everything you've done for us to move in here. We wouldn't wanna be anywhere else.
Everything here has been wonderful since we moved in. Cali has done more than enough to help us feel welcomed and happy with this place. Our frirst apartment and it's beautiful. Thank you for making this a perfect experience Cali.
So love this place staff is great and would recommend this complex to anyone. Cali helped me renew my lease and its the first time an apartment has ever been good enough to make me do so.
This is the worst place you want to live in, the maintenance is horrible i actually wait 1 month for them to come and fix me something, my mail have been robbed once and the second time they open my box but didn't took nothing. The apt of two rooms are way to spensive and they charge you for everything even if you want to pay online which is unbelievable. Overall dont choose it if you want to live in a good please. I cant wait to move out
maintenance here is slow response. they don't have maintenence on site. this place is getting run down each and everyday. need a/c upgrades some units over 20 years old. not happy..
