Lafayette is located in southern Louisiana. It has the rich culture you would expect from a Louisiana town. Also, because it is a college town, it is very much concerned with education. People of all ages, cultures, and personality types will find that Lafayette is a pleasant place to live.
Lafayette has many beautiful neighborhoods. Different people like different areas of the city for their own reasons. However, the south side of the city is typically the most sought after. The area surrounding the University of Louisiana – Lafayette is known as the university area. This area, as well as Lafayette’s Downtown District, is more urban in nature than other parts of Lafayette. It is possible to walk to the school, local restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Broadmore is mostly residential and home to people of many different ages. This is also where the Thomas Park Recreation Center is located. Broussard, Youngsville, and Scott are small cities on the outskirts of Lafayette.

Property Ratings at Acadian Point Apartments
If I could give this place 0 stars I would, First I was mislead by the reviews. Almost every review mentioned how amazing Dehja is. My friends(who live at the property) recommended Dehja to me. But To my surprise Dehja is no longer at this community. Still I chose to give this place a chance. One of the ladies in the office was very rude to me because I had many different questions about the community and constantly rolled her eyes as if I didn't notice this behavior. She took me on a tour of the community which has several amenities but the apartment did not match the descriptions I saw online. Very Outdated and not worth the asking price.

I met the sweetest person by the name of Dasha during my visit at Acadian Point. She went above and beyond to ensure my daughters move in was successful. She knew every aspect of this complex and was so knowledgeable about the area where this complex is located. Of course we had a few concerns when we moved in but the manager, maintenance and Daija handled all our concerns in a very timely manner.

I have been living here for 7 years. My children love this complex and the office staff. Everyday when they get off the bus, they run straight to the leasing office to grab an afternoon snack. The office staff does so much for the children on the property. I wouldn't live anywhere else! Thanks to Baily, Dasha, Dawana and Howie, we appreciate all your hard work

The property is gorgeous and well maintained. I remember living here in my younger days. Kuddos to the management companies for keeping up with it. I love all the the new improvements that have been made to the property.

Too expensive for what you get. Constant hot water issues. rent ends up being way more than what is listed. Some staff are nice others will give an attitude for no reason.

I moved into my apartment in August, it’s my first time renting and living by myself and on top of that I moved away from home. So I didn’t know what to expect. Daija is the one to go to!! She made this whole process a breeze and explained everything from what to expect, down to things I should know about Lafayette. She’s been so helpful and kind and truly made me feel at home before I even moved in. The entire staff is super friendly and helpful. I will say one of the things I appreciate most is if somethings wrong they will fix it asap!!

I had the pleasure of speaking to someone in the leasing office named Dashia about a service request I needed completed. She listened to all my complaints without catching an attitude. And within 48 hours she had maintenance completing my request. I’ve lived here for 3 years and I must say the new management company is GREAT. They are bringing so many different improvements to this property. Just wish we can get the pool opened soon. I hope Dashia is able to see this, she is the person I will contact from now

My personal experience over the years I have been a resident here at the Retreat At Acadian Point. The Staff treats you like family, and any problems that comes up is address right away. I love my stay here and would recommend to it to family and friends.
Very nice community, its quite, not too busy. Everyone is pretty to themselves. Besides the maintenance issues Ive had Ill give them a 8/10.
I love this place. The staff has been so helpful, especially with all of this Covid nonsense. They've gone above and beyond what's to be expected and I really appreciate that.
My ac was broke. They put in temp ac unit until they were able get the part to fix my ac. Once my ac was fixed. They let me keep temp ac overnight just in case something went wrong.
You're charged for services that are not available! Policies included in the leasing agreement are not followed. Unsafe & wouldn't recommend living here with children
My request for maintenance is always answered promptly and taken care of promptly. The grounds are well maintained. Office staff are courteous and helpful. The maintenance guys are professional and get the task done promptly.
The Retreat is a wonderful place to reside. All of your needs are addressed immediately. The maintenance group is attentive and most friendly. The office staff and apartment manager are highly professional with the manager always making sure that your needs are attended to.
My experience at the Retreat has been wonderful. During this crisis I am pleased that the office can work with you with the rent.
The stay here for a year was amazing. The only thing I can say is, you can tell it’s a place that is trying to transform look wise. When I toured the “tour apartment” everything looked up to date. When I moved in first thing I noticed was that everything was up to date, except some of the light switches, the AC box, and the bathroom vent/light. Trash pick up does not come every night, which could be an annoyance to some, but honestly I didn’t mind going throw mine, because it gave me a chance to get my steps in for the day. I would have stayed past my year lease, but it’s time to move on to something that fits my lifestyle after graduating college. Also, maintenance is GREAT. I put in a request and come home from work with the request resolved!! Every appliance is up to date! The only thing I can say is, please be mindful of putting in a 60 day notice because in the contract they place you in a month to month lease even though you sign a 12-13 month lease. I was not aware, but moving forward, I know now!! My neighbors are great. It’s peaceful, quiet, and drama free. 9/10 place!!
Thanks to Marcus, my work orders are finally being completed. No matter what the situation is he is always on top of his game. Goes way beyond the call to help and get the order finished in a timely manner. I really can’t say enough about how much I appreciate him!!! When I moved in this community I was told my apartment was move in ready which was not. Had put roughly around 5-6 work orders in which were marked completed and never was touched. Needless to say that guy no longer works here. Have to say things are finally looking up and things are getting done. I would recommend The Retreat.
This apartment complex use to be a great place to live; all hope was lost with the new management. it took them 3 weeks to fix a hole in my wall that looked like it was previous damage and still wasn’t fixed right. The gutters don't work properly. you get soaked and wet when leaving in and out your apartment. I called and complain about it for the 3rd time and one of the leasing agent got an attitude and told me that I need to move my truck and I don’t drive a truck. I have leaking ceiling from time to time. I have mold in my AC area. Your rent is never the same from month to month. I don’t even bother to complain anymore because my lease is up soon. Before moving here I would talked to the current tenants so you want think I’m just an disgruntled tenant.
I have been living here for two months and I requested a work order for something and it still has not been fixed. But the staff members are nice.
The staff is very friendly, been living here for 2 months, no problems.
