Property Ratings at Acclaim at Carriage Hill
While the apartment units are large, so are the cockroaches. The current property management company does not respond to maintenance requests and will do everything they can to avoid fixing the apartments they bought. The apartment sizes are not worth the cigarette stains seeping from the walls, the mold in the vents, the cockroaches (American and German), and the poor management.
I personally want to thank, Courtney, for all of her hard work, helping people with many things during this difficult time. She has gone above and beyond to make sure my family has a good experience with Acclaim at Carriage Hill. I love how beautiful the grounds are here for walking and how the staff helps to make it home. The maintenance staff has been more on time than any other place I have rented from. I’m so glad that this is my home! Thanks, Acclaim at Carriage Hill, and thank you, Courtney.

Its a nice community. The grounds are clean. Residents and staff are nice. I have an issue with old parts being patched with old/used parts. They have never replaced anything in my apartment with a new part. Its put it back up or switch it out. Guess I will just keep putting in maintenance requests when I need to.
Everyone in the office staff and maintenance crew are wonderful and do the best they can with what they are working with . Lots of renovations and landscaping mess going on . Im looking forward to reopening of beautiful new community center .
I have lived here for about 5 years and I love living here. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I have had great response to my issues and maintenance is polite and timely. Very friendly. Oh, it is gated and security is good. I feel safe here. Before COVID, there were so many activities, dances with live bands ,monthly birthday dinners(local restaurants provided the dinners) huge swimming pool and beautiful seating. Way more stuff!! I've noticed some changes that have taken place since I've lived here. Not all good. There is room for improvement. It seems residents, now, have to pay for the replacement of items in the apartments. The apartments are old and need some updating and things wear out. The staff, office, and maintenance are great!
I love the community and I feel safe when coming and going. Residents here look out for each other. I would like to see the cleaning crew do a better job. I feel that Katie at the office listens to and takes my concerns seriously. Anytime I have called her she has addressed my issues.
I love my apartment, but this neighbor situation is ridiculous.
I have been here since 2012 and have had many wonderful experiences. Basically it is a wonderful place to live, The staff are very kind and courteous. I highly recommend this community.
Im quite happy living in the Acclaim community. Residents are extremely friendly and quiet as well as helpful with carrying furniture and groceries up to my second floor apartment. I enjoy my balcony during all four seasons and my indoor kitty loves spending time out there especially watching the birds and squirrels. The closets are large and wonderful for having to downsize from my much larger home. Perfect place for walking. Management is exceptional. I highly recommend this community.
This place is nice to live in and the staff makes everything easy
I have been a resident at Acclaim at Carriagehill for 10 years and I love the spaciousness of the apartment, the large walk-in closets, the layout is perfect. They are in the process of renovating some apartments. Would love to have mine done. The price is pretty reasonable. The staff is always pleasant and do try their best to accommodate you. I love the fact that this is a 55 and older community. We are also a gated community, which is very important to me.
I have been satisfied with the management of CH for the year and a half I have lived here. It is a pleasant and well run community.
I have been here 9 months and the community has been very nice and helpful. The Staff have been courteous, kind, respectful, and have made me feel at home. I would recommend this place to the people looking for a apartment home.

The Covid-19 has put a cramp on activities. Otherwise, my experience at Carriage Hill has been positive and I hope we can get back to normal one day soon.--with pool, clubs, all that CH offers.
This community is wonderful. The population of this community is wonderful. The apartment is near everything and the apartment is large and has so many charms. The grounds are always well maintained and it is a pleasure to look out our window and appreciate the beauty.

The staff and administration of BH Management cares about its residents and it is shown throughout the services they provide.
In most respects I have had a good experience residing at this community. I do however question why the landscape company who cleared out the shrub bed have not returned yet to plant the new shrubs in weeks.
Carriage Hill is good living atmosphere and landscaping and upkeep is improvement in appearance of property. Tenants are caring and good neighbors and pleasant homelike environment here. Everyone gives a good effort and takes pride in making this our home. Despite the pandemic everyone pulls together to make things run smoothly. Staff is helpful and responsive to our needs.
I am so glad I chose carriage hill for my new home. Kaitlyn walked me throughthe whole rental process and made sure my transition to my new community was smooth. The unit was spotless and maintenance has not taken more than thirty minutes to respond to a couple of small issues. I am very pleased to be here and couldn't have done it without Kaitlyn and the staff here.

Overall living here is pretty nice. Maintenance is fast and the neighbors are nice and quiet.
Grayson provided me with outstanding customer service when I called to ask how to get out of the locked gate early in the morning. He and the Maintenance Team are working to fix the gate issue. The Maintenance Team is the reason I have lived at Carriage Hill Apartments since 2007. I appreciate the outstanding and prompt service!

There are no activities for individuals who work during the day, yet we are charged $150 per year for facilities that we cannot use. We are also charged for their homeowner's insurance and liability insurance. Your utility bills are not your own. They divide the total by the eight apartment in the building. A fee for pest control is charged every month whether or not you use the services. There are numerous car break ins and it is not the gated community that it advertises. The complex is not doing maintenance and blaming it on the pandemic but there have been no reported incidents here. There are more than 30 stray cats that spread disease and fleas. The lease says no outdoor pets but the neighbors have named the cats and they feed them every day on the picnic tables so the human population cannot use the outdoor facilities. The neighbors also place cat beds and dishes under the windows of the others, not their apartments so they don't have to listen to the cats screaming at night or the cats getting all over everything on their patio. The lease says no outdoor pets. The roaches are more than two inches long and one inch wide. There are also other roaches of a normal size that gather in your dishwasher so don't wash your dishes prior to bedtime and take them out the next day. Since the cats are fed regularly, the mice move into the apartments. You get the general idea. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
The new management is disappointing at best, frustrating and deceptive. Ive been here for nearly 7 years, love the neighbors, high turnover though. Loved it here for a few years, but sorry, cant recommend now.
The new management is relandscaping everything and it should be very attractive. Also the lifestyle center is being renovated, which is good since we plan on using it more.
Any maintenance problems that I have had have been handled in a timely fashion and the maintenance people have been not only efficient but pleasant. I have no negative remarks.
I have lived at" Carriage Hill Apt " going on eighteen years ,that is why I like calling it my home.The location is great and it is close to all the stores and everything else. The residents are very friendly and that means a lot also ,the community we live in is very beautiful and inspiring ,thanks for the upkeep . Doris
Im in a renovated unit and very pleased. Staff has been very responsive and friendly . Neighbors pleasant and a perfect mix of personalities . Parking convenient and nearby . Very quiet and pet friendly
This used to be a neat place to live. Outdoor places are opening up all over but not here. God forbid we need to wash our car or play a game of tennis or swim in an outdoor swimming pool. We're paying extra for these things but unlike the insurance companies we're not being reimbursed for non use. By the way a dough nut and 2 cheap masks or a bag of penny candy don't equal out.
No repairs are being done unless there is an emergency. A toilet that overflows is not considered an emergency if you have another toilet with a broken toilet seat. Two inch long roaches are not handled properly and it has been ongoing for the last four years. Ants in the kitchen by the thousands have to wait a week for them to bring in an exterminator. More than thirty stray cats inhabit the development. There is no overhead lighting and the apartment is always dark. You have to fight for a parking space and sometimes park two blocks away from your apartment. The mail has never been delivered correctly as the apartment numbers are all the same with only the street names different. The complex charges for a monthly fee for all utilities which are all on one electric and gas box so you are paying for everyone in the building, plus a processing fee, trash pick up, their homeowners insurance, the exterminator, a community fee with no community functions being offered right now due to renovations and COVID, and the list goes on. It is cheaper to purchase a two thousand square foot house than to live here. These are just a few of the problems with Carriage Hill. Do you wonder why I am moving at the first opportunity?
I would love to spread the word but the fear of friends experiencing on going issues with the Plumbing/Toilets is a DEAL Breaker. IF and when the horrendous issue of overflowing toilets is resolved, I would gladly Recommend Acclaim..Maintenance normally responds in a timely and professional fashion. I would suggest that you keep a readily available supply of Caulking, Bug Spray, Screens for windows and HVAC systems and have professional exterminators come weekly to treat the American Cockroaches who come in from the outdoors to fly and thrive indoors. Your staff is highly professional. I rated them Good instead of Excellent because sometimes they don't follow through and they don't have the supplies they need.
Best for me is LOCATION.
Large apartments, wonderful windows and beautiful 60 year old landscaping updated this year and very pretty.
It is a nice place to live
I'm generally satisfied with living here, my neighbors are very friendly and so is the office personnel.
