Property Ratings at Acorn Grove
Moved here in February 2023- complete online process. Love the space and location.Haven't needed any maintenance. Pretty quiet.
Prior to move the walls wasn't painted you could see all the holes in the wall from the last tenant that lived there cause they was not patched up and the carpet had black stains but I was told the carpet was professionally cleaned . The only thing that looked like was done to the apartment was a new fridge and closet door and fixtures. I will say definitely not worth the price this is the second place I have seen the walls not painted. But my concern is dirty looking carpet cause my son has severe allergies.
If you had asked me prior to this new property manager lady in the office, I would have recommended this place for sure. The apartments are small - kitchen(micro); the master bedroom is really big but, if you have a den/2nd bedroom (which are the exact same thing and 99.9% sure the same size, and they will charge you differently for them) its tiny...you may be comfortable with a twin bed in there or make a small office area - but thats really it to me. The neighborhood is quiet, no issues with that and the maintenance is super great. My issue is the front office mainly the new girl thats gonna be helping you if you have any maintenance or issues, and the unrealistic expectations they have when you ask them to fix something....PLEASE look at all your other options before seeking this place because...i'm starting to see why some people move out quickly. Also i'm not new to this place been here for years. Overall, if you can handle/ignore the front office since all request for anything have to go through them - the its not that bad, but new girl will have you frustrated in my opinion.
The leasing staff was very friendly while I lived here, but when I terminated my lease their who vibe changed including their attitudes. I would lay in bed at night and hear my downstairs neighbor's whole conversation while she talked on the phone, I could even hear when she would sneeze. The price is afforable, but if anything goes wrong good luck with getting it fixed because for whatever reason they can't seem to keep a maintaince man employed
The price is affordable. What the other person said in the review is true. The parking is tight and people do ding your car. The leasing staff is ok. They are friendly for the most part. You can hear everyone's noise. The walls are really thin. I hear talking, phones vibrating and everything else. I hate that I have to leave my windows open quite often to reduce mold in my unit. Maintenance can be slow at times. Don't have an emergency maintenance problem because no one will answer. You can't even leave a message.
Although the apartments are not new, they are very well maintained. It's a relatively small complex, and the people are friendly. It's off the beaten path with a very quiet, inviting setting. There is a clubhouse, laundry room, and small playground for the kids. It's also pet friendly. The office staff is friendly, caring, and accommodating. They know who you are and treat you like family. I love living here and plan to stay for quiet a while.
The apartments are not worth saving a buck. People ding their car with their car doors. The front office constantly pester you will their publications.
This complex has been wonderful to live in. Such a great location near shopping and interstates. The complex includes some utilities and the management is amazing. Grounds are well kept and neighbors are very nice. We planned on only being here one year but its been so great we are staying longer!!!
I've lived here for two years with my mom and we left to be closer to the beach but we were shocked at how awful all the other apartments were in comparison -price/size/hookups/parking. One year later, I moved back to Acorn Grove and have been here almost 4 years. It feels like a ranch style house inside and you don't hear the neighbors. All ages live here but mostly families and its quiet. Plus maintainence is taken care of quickly and they really care about your concerns. There aren't any assigned parking spots but after living here for a while I've noticed everyone has their go-to spot which makes it easy to predict and find spots close to the building.
