San Antonio blends a rich heritage with modern innovation, resulting in a metropolis teeming with true Texan heart. San Antonio’s distinctive environment reflects centuries of style and a diverse array of culture, which is best exemplified in the La Villita Historic Arts Village. The Alamo may be the most renowned structure in the city, but there are plenty of magnificent historical buildings to see—from the Emily Morgan Hotel to the Meyer Halff House.
Stretched along the San Antonio River is the famous River Walk, where residents and visitors alike can walk or bike from the San Antonio Zoo to the Witte Museum, the historic Majestic Theatre, the Shops at Rivercenter, the Missions of San Antonio and back again.
The city and the surrounding region offer endless opportunities for exploration.

Property Ratings at Alamo Estates
Water leaks, mold, a/c issues (non working, gunshots, dog poop on sidewalks, if it breaks you better fix it!!
This is my first time renting and it should’ve been a red flag to me when I couldn’t afford it and they still let me rent. I live with roommates so it’s affordable but it’s definitely not worth the price. We’re constantly putting in work orders on things more than two times a month. When we first moved in the water was brown and had to fix our own bathtub to get it to work. My apt is right by the laundromat and it always smells rancid. When the pool was open it would rarely get cleaned and on the weekends when the office was closed it would turn green. Never again
I’ve been here for a month. None of the problems reported in the beginning as been fixed. Drainage problems, broken cabinets, missing lights and so. Also I moved in to an ant and rat infested apartment. I can hear the rats in the walls. They only had pest control come out once and gave me traps however the problem is still happening. They refuse to credit my account or lower my rent. There is also loose wire and a poorly done wall in the outside storage. Not to mention that I live in the front of the complex and the apartment has “security” yet someone messed up my car handle door / lock from trying to break into it one night. Giving this complex one star is too much. And I’ve only stated the big problems and not every cosmetic issue. I have pictures to prove it.
I’ve been here for almost a year. No hot water and no working ac. Since the move in, they’ve been “fixing” both. It was at the point my roomates and I had to leave our apartment for repairs just to come back to water still being cold. Had to call out of work because the shower was covered and We couldn’t shower after being told it would be ready later in the afternoon. Didn’t get “fixed” until a couple days after. The ac has not worked since the move in most of the time it’s hotter inside than outside. Had to purchase window unit and a mobile ac just to keep from having heat flashes. After calling the office for reimbursement, we were told if they pay back then the acs will be Alamo estates property and they would come take them. Needless to say the work orders are plentiful and still nothing has been fixed I’m hoping it happens soon. I don’t like to complain but it seems as though nobody wants to answer or help
It has been a week and a half since I’ve had working air conditioner in my apartment with my thermostat reading up to 90°. The assitant manager Leanne told me they can not guarantee when my AC will be fixed because so many other residents currently don’t have AC either. She told me to call back later if I haven’t heard from maintenance, but also said she can’t guarantee anyone will answer the phone if I do call. I have not gotten one single apology or have been shown any care or concern on their end because I can’t inhabit my home. This complex is an absolute joke and the office staff needs immediate customer service training.
Great location, fairly safe community, and good experience with Management.

Hi there, thanks for leaving us such an awesome review of our property. We are incredibly grateful that you have loved your experience at Alamo Estates and our staff will be pleased to read what you have written.
The management is consistently changing, proper records aren't kept, you have to fight tooth and nail to get work orders submitted/complete, you MUST stay on them about the work orders, roadents in the walls, roaches(if they're not nesting in your actually apt ,like in my case, and they're in an adjoining apt) all management will tell you is to call monthly for pest control, dog faeces all over the grassy areas with no repercussions, rude and unprofessional staff, the controlled entrances do not close, and the list goes on. Save yourself the trouble and move elsewhere. This site doesn't care about their residents. DO NOT MOVE TO HERE!

We are dedicated to improving our resident's experience so if you have any other feedback please feel free to reach out to our on-site team.
My apartment was infested with rats and maintenance was very slow to respond. My requests would be mysteriously checked as done without the work actually being done. Very shady management. They sent out emails asking for feedback and the link only allowed positive reviews on an apartment website. The gates are permanently broken, but that doesn't really matter because the fencing behind the dumpsters is broken so people just slip through. We had a man defecate outside our apartment, and it was all in all a very bad experience. Not worth the hassle and any price.

when we first moved in it seemed very nice. the person who worked with us in the office was very nice. but since we've moved in we have had lots of issues. the apartment is just outside of windcrest so the neighborhood is kinda rough. there's been shootings and illegal activity. I actually watched a man bleed out on the pavement! its supposed to be a gated community and therefore safer but the gates have not been closed once since we moved in 9 months ago. not that the closed gates would help anyways, because there are "secret" entrances, where people can slip in. we have had a constant bug problem, roaches and fire ants. our upstairs neighbor had nice! we could hear them in the walls! our car has been broken into/and trashed several times, by teenagers in the apartment. if you have a car that doesn't ride higher than the average vehicle, the speed bumps will clip the bottom of your car when you go over them faster than 5mph. the maintenance takes forever to resolve issues needless to say we have had a very bad experience here. the only good thing I have to say is that the employees in the office are usually very nice.

It's troubling to see this low rating of our community. Our team works hard to provide only excellent service and it pains us to see we missed the mark with you as we truly care about each and every resident. Please contact or visit us in the office at your earliest convenience and we’ll be more than happy to talk about how we can give you more of the five-star experience you deserve. Thank you.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. As soon as I brought in my service dog, the staff showed discrimination against me. There is a roach infestation no matter how clean you are. Any complaint made to or about the staff is swept under the rug. Anyone giving a good review is more than likely encouraged by the staff.
The management will give bad rental history when you want to move and not renew lease and force you into a month to month or renewal. The complex is infested with fire ants and roaches. They send pest control and it doesn't fix the issue. They will say you have a broken lease when you completed the lease terms and have a 60 day notice. They will refuse to give you anything in writing
I lived in 2 apartments. Moved from 1bdrm to 2bdrm... the office staff was very responsive to any request. Maintenence guys awesome! The pool always clean. My daughter & I were very impressed with how polite & well behaved the young kids & teens are.
At first I was a little skeptical about moving in. But the Apt. Manager was very nice. She took her time to explain everything. The grounds are very well kept and Security makes daily and nightly rounds. Overall I am very satisfied.
I wouldn't recommend this complex at this point. The new management is ok it's just not finished like they say. I have lived here for 5 months and three ant problem here is horrendous. The playground is still locked awaiting renovation and the laundry area sucks. Not worth it at all.
This building has is delightfully close to restaurants, groceries, and an awesome golf course, all within walking distance. The complex is well maintained and the staff is incredibly helpful. Amenities are available: a crystal clean pool, a new gazebo and grill area, a park for the kids, a workout room, and a laundry facility. I won't forget to mention that pets are also welcomed. Olga B, San Antonio TX
I just moved in my apartment last month on 07-24-15 and ever since I have been amazed at the courtesy that the apartment manager and their assistant has been. Not only that they are giving (got school supplies for grandson) they are so nice, respectful and caring. I would tell all my friends and family to move here. The apartments are will care for and the people, the tenants that I have meet are good people and so are the kids well mannered. This area is so convenient to all of the stores and bus ride is right at the apartments and close to all of the schools elementary, middle and high school.
This is awesome. Love it. Would recommend it to everyone.
