Property Ratings at Advenir at Bear Valley
Keep track of all your stuff and Take pictures when you move in and move out! They will claim they don’t have your “move in” paperwork and try and hold your deposit!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! This property is INFESTED with Cockroaches, Bedbugs and Rats. I lived here for two years and it was a HORRIBLE experience. The property is FILTHY, there are inoperable cars in the parking lot that ought to be towed away, cigarette butts that accumulates daily at the entrances of building because they enable tenants to smoke at the entry ways, FILTHY common areas, green swimming pool in the summer, old mattresses and furniture NOT hauled of by trash company for weeks, their internet and phones are ALWAYS down so you can’t reach anyone, dead rats outside, cockroaches in my apartment that took weeks to treat, they turned my apartment and belonging upside down when treating for bedbugs. I called management to explain why this happened and I was constantly blown off. Work orders ignored to clean common areas. Meanwhile, rent continues to increase and they nickel and dime you! Be prepared to spend ALOT on water they don’t tell you about. Pass this one by. You’ll thank me later.
0 stars. Everything about this property was a nightmare. Do Not Move Here!!!
These buildings are roach infested to the point that we have found poop in our drinking water. Cracks throughout the walls and the entire grounds of this apartment community is covered in dog poop. Our neighbors told us they have mice, too. This place is utterly disgusting.
Dirty facility. Manager threatened tenants. Do not rent here!!!
Building 1 is being trashed by newer tenants and their unsupervised kids constantly littering and trashing the basement/entryways. Last week somebody punched a hole in the wall in the basement. It smells and is continuing to go downhill. Such a shame for a “luxury” apartment. Used to be nice a year ago.
The worst apartment complex. Recently there has been new management and they are terrible. They are focusing their efforts on unnecessary work when they should be working to make the place better. They shut off the water in the same building three times in two months without notice. They set a date for painting the same building but didn't finish the painting until three days after they had originally said. They closed off parking for painting and re-striping, even though that had been done 6 months prior. I made a work order and they didn't respond until one week after. The laundry facilities are always dirty and have water all over the floors. The grass on the property is yellow and dying because they do not water it. Terrible place to live at.
I have only been here a short time and overall it's not horrible. BUT the one thing that is very frustrating is the fact that I've asked to have my dishwasher door fixed since the day I moved in. After bugging them for a few weeks they tried to fix it. The first fix did nothing so after bugging them multiple times and bringing the maintenance crew to my apartment to show them the issue it was still not fixed right. I talked to the office to explain to them that it was still not fixed. After waiting for something to be done for another few weeks I then had to bug them again that it still wasn't fixed. When they tried fixing it a 3rd time the same exact way ...it is now even worst. I talked with the manager and explained that it needed to be replaced which she also agreed with me. Weeks went by and still nothing is done. Again the apartment isn't horrible just older and it takes a long to to get anything done...If they ever get this done.
This is the WORST apartment complex we have ever lived at. We had to move out of our unit for 11 days because they had leaks and mold all throughout our bathroom ceiling and walls. Our baby was sick NON STOP the entire time we lived at this trash hole. They also had a dishwasher leaking for 3 DAYS from the 3rd floor down into our first floor unit. We complained daily and they never did anything about it! We had to clean it up with our paper towels and towels and they did not even apologize! We complained about our sink leaking 4-5 times and they never fixed it. We left paper towels mopping up the standing water under our sink and they had the audacity to charge us $35 for leaving the cabinets dirty. We had EVERY LAST ITEM out of that place, and cleaned it very well, they charged us for "Trash Removal" because we forgot our baby's towel on the back of the bathroom door. I'm warning you, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! they charged over $130 a month for "utilities" which is their outdoor electric and grounds keeping. They charge you for exterminators to come out constantly for the roaches and bedbugs!!!! Thank GOD we did not get bed bugs while we lived there, but know several people who did!!!! The best thing we ever did was move out of this place! Paige the "Manager" is a JOKE!!!!
Do not move here, the staff is very rude and they take a long time to fix anything. They let a leak happen for 3 days before they even came to look at it. Save your money, time, and stress and go anywhere else!
Took most of my security deposit after 2 days of cleaning. Service was awful the entire time. They told me "take us to court", clearly unprofessional.
I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR ALMOST 5 YEARS WHEN THE FIRST COMPANY SOLD THE PLACE 2 YEARS AGO IT STARTED GOING DOWN HILL. THERE ARE NO SECURITY CAMERAS THEIR SECURITY COMPANY DOES NOT DO THEIR JOB NOR DO THEY TELL YOU WHO THEY ARE OR HOW TO CONTACT THEM IF THEIR IS A PROBLEM. THERE HAVE BEEN CAR THEFTS AND BRAKE INS AND THEY DO NOTHING. I HAVE HAD NO HOT WATER FOR HOURS AND CALLING THE MAINTENANCE EMERGENCY HOTLINE DOES NO GOOD. THEY DO NOT ENFORCE ANY OF THEIR RULES THE DOGS THAT ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE HERE IN THEIR LEAS ARE HERE AND I AM A DOG LOVER PITS ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITE BREEDS BUT ACCORDING TO THEM THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED IN DENVER COUNTY AND THEIR ARE LATEST 3 IN THE COMPLEX. THE WASHERS AND DRYERS ARE ALWAYS GOING OUT AND IT TAKES FOREVER TO GET THE COMPANY TO FIX THEM AND IF MAINTENANCE SEE IT THEY DO NOTHING. THERE IS A WASPS NEST ABOVE THE STEPS TO MY BUILDING THAT HAS BEEN THERE SCENE LAST JUNE I HAVE TOLD THE OFFICE, THE HEAD MAINTENANCE GUY AND THE OTHER MAINTENANCE PEOPLE AND IT IS STILL THERE TO THIS DAY. ONE OF THEM HANDED MY HUSBAND A CAN OF BUG SPRAY AND SAID YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF IT. THEY HAVE RAISED OUR RENT EVERY YEAR BUT REFUSE TO UPGRADE ANYTHING IN MY APARTMENT. IF SOMETHING BREAKS THEY REPLACE IT WITH PART FROM OTHER THINGS THAT DON'T EVEN MATCH MY STUFF AND KEEPS FALLING APART. ALMOST EVERY FEW WEEKS THERE IS NEW PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE BECAUSE THEY KEEP CHANGING THEM. THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY CHARGE YOU FOR I WOULD NOT RENT HERE AGAIN IF I HAD ANY OTHER CHOICE.
In the area our 2 bedroom apartment is bigger than most. It has vaulted ceilings and updated appliances in most units. The people in the main office are very friendly and accommodating, and it's not in a bad location. It's about equal distance from the city to the mountains with the best King Soopers in Denver just down the road. On the other hand the maintenance was very slow. We had water in our bathroom light fixtures once and it took them 3 business days to come fix it. Within the past year they switched management, and you can definitely tell they are slowly making improvements to become better all around.
The ownership has changed for the better. The grounds are kept up and if you do not live here you can no longer park here. This is a good thing because parking was the pits
I moved here because I wasn't getting my money's worth at my last apartment. Overall, I'm very satisfied in what I got when I moved here. Location (3.5 stars) This place is a little out of the way--my commute is 18.5 miles!...and the nearest shopping center is approx. 1 mile away, but it does provide easy access to highway 285 (Hampden), which in turn provides quick access to highway 85 (Santa Fe), C-470, and many other roads like Federal, Broadway, Wadsworth, and Kipling. I go through gas a lot faster here than at my previous complex. Neighborhood (5 stars) The neighborhood is nice and quiet. I've never seen any action around here except when lightning struck a nearby building a few months ago. The complex is adjacent to a Seventh Day Adventist church, and across the street from a park. There's another park just off Sheridan Blvd, which can be reached by following the back residential roads all the way through. A little further out, but within walking distance is Ford Logan National Cemetery, Colorado Academy, and the Bear Creek bike trail. Amenities (4 stars) Amenities are pretty standard, but generally kept in good condition. There is a pool, communal BBQ, and dog park, however as I don't use any of those things, I cannot comment on their quality. There are laundry rooms in every building, which are clean and cheap, and kiosk to recharge laundry cards in the office. Also in the office, there is a lounge, and a computer room with free wifi. The fitness center has cardio equipment and weight machines, as well as free weights. There are some amenities that you can pay extra for, as well: Storage boxes ($10/mo), and covered parking ($35/mo). Miscellaneous (3.5 stars) Maintenance usually does a good job. The biggest issue I've had was with leaks this past Spring, but they've been working hard to replace the roofs all Summer. Unfortunately they needed to get "approval" for the roofing work, so until that approval came through, I had buckets everywhere and I had to rearrange my furniture. I am very glad that they took care of this problem completely, however. Management doesn't enforce its policy on owners picking up after their pets. Maintenance will eventually get to it, but the beautiful courtyards become like minefields as you try to traverse your way across to save time. Needless to say, as beautiful as the courtyards are, they are basically useless for anything other than being a giant toilet for pets.
