If you are moving to Bryan, Texas, get ready to fall in love! Downtown Bryan is exquisite, from the historic false-front architecture that will bring to mind cowboys on horseback to the intricate brick-lined sidewalks and the beautiful landscaping that surrounds you. But Bryan is far from the typical Western town. This city borders College Station, home to the largest university in the state, Texas A&M.
While Bryan and College Station are close neighbors, Bryan has its own identity. It's close to Texas A&M University -- about five minutes away -- and Bryan is considered the cultural hub of the region. It is filled with theaters, restaurants, and art galleries.

Property Ratings at AgTech Gardens
I had such a great experience with AgTech Gardens. I had to delay my graduation a semester last minute and was scrambling to find somewhere livable with a short term lease option. The women running AgTech are so so sweet and accommodating. The person who handled my lease signing went out of her way to get me a ground-level apartment because she knew it would be easier with my dog. Its my understanding that the ownership had just changed hands a few months before I moved in and that the previous ones had really let the apartments fall into disrepair. AgTech had everything renovated but I still had a few issues that just come with an old building and their maintenance was so quick to respond and get things taken care of. The apartment was clean, pest free, and was overall very nice. Marble counter tops, hardwood floors, and new appliances. I had an incident where I lost my purse and was locked out of my apartment, Jessica the property manager, literally rushed from a Saturday graduation ceremony to be able to let me in. Lastly, my family had a major health crisis towards the end of my lease and I had difficulty getting back to College Station to finalize my move out. They were so understanding which means so much to me. The Jessica is THE sweetest. I can honestly say that this was the first place I lived in my college career where I felt that the owners weren't trying to slide one past me and genuinely cared about my experience.
Block 12, has been getting a new design on the outside and inside of each apartment. The new owners have gone into each apartment and fixed any problems. The pricing is reasonable and is along route 15, and it’s super close to campus. I love it, because it’s in walking distance to main campus and I’d be continuing to live here if I weren’t graduating in May.
The new company who has taken over, is doing an amazing job at communicating with their tenants and making sure previous over looked items are being fixed. The place in under going a new look and if I weren’t graduating I’d definitely live here again next year.
The office management is a complete mess - good luck trying to get a hold of anyone. After moving in, it took me 2 weeks to get my mail key because no one is ever in the actual Block 12 office; you have to call the Campus Homes office and hope the undergrad who answers is actually competent. The ground level units are dank and poorly insulated - especially the windows, which don't have screens (some units have new windows but for some reason my section does not). No one picks up after their dog, and the parking lot is falling apart. I'm sure the management thinks they can charge so much because it's a 10-minute walk to Northgate, but all I can say is I will not be renewing my lease, nor leasing with Campus Homes again.
I would NEVER recommend this complex to anyone. I have no idea why their rating is so high. I moved in May 2015 with a one year lease. From the night I moved in there were roaches. I lived in a roach infested apartment for a year. It was disgusting. On top of the roaches, my walls were severely cracking, in the living room, kitchen, and bedroom. When I emailed management, I received no response. This is the email I sent on Oct 12: "I went to the maintenance request page of the Block 12 website, however the 'submit' button is not working. I am only free on this coming Saturday morning. There are several large cracks on the walls in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The tiles are also cracking. I'm guessing there are some foundation issues. Also, there are issues with the front door. There is a crack in the door, and this is letting the cool air out. This is causing my electricity bill to be higher than necessary. The two deadbolts I have no longer work. I can no longer lock my front door. In order to open my front door, I have to pull hard. In order to shut the door, I have to slam it shut." On Oct 23, I flew to Florida to get married. I did not get back to my apartment until the night of the 26. When I walked into my apartment, the door was unlock and all of my lights were on. I immediately called my landlord, and he acted like nothing was wrong. They did not inform me they were even going to be working on my apartment. They did fix my front door, but that is about it. My landlord told me they would fix the crack in the walls, but never did. Before I moved into my apartment, I saw it after the last tenant moved out. I remember there being the same cracks in the wall. However, after I moved in they were gone. All the landlord did was throw some tape and plaster on it to hide it. There is probably something wrong with the foundation, causing the cracks. I also locked myself out of my apartment, so I went to the office to get someone to open it. Note, they have been in my apartment without my key when I wasn't there. The girl working the desk told me they didn't have a spare. So, I'm assuming they lost it. They made me feel real safe. Like I said, don't move into this place. They make the surface look pretty, but don't actually take care of the bones. It's a mess.
