Located on Orlando's northeast side, Oviedo is directly north of the University of Central Florida, a large research university, and Central Florida Research Park. It is also home to Seminole State College-Oviedo Campus. Because of its location to UCF, Oviedo is fast-growing, home to about 30,000 residents and frequently listed as one of the country's best places to live. UCF is the nation's largest university, enrolling roughly 64,000 students a year. It is a space-grant university with a sprawling campus of 1,415 acres.
Oviedo was once a rural community and it still features some of its farmland roots, from its historic buildings to the chickens roaming through downtown (yes, really). You may even see a "chicken crossing" sign or two as you make your way through the city. Oviedo's Chickens date back to 1875, when settlers first arrived to grow crops and raise livestock.

This place sucks old apartments over priced they ask for 4X the rent for an old apartment that may be infested with roaches ! Everything is old and outdated nothing is new itās smells horrible in those apartments. The people at the office just want your money the lie about the application process and getting approved! Donāt move here save your money for a better community!! Donāt even waste your time applying

I am deeply sorry to have rented my apartment in this condominium. They have a serious problem with plague and they don't mind you having to live with it. I've been living here for 4 months and I had to call the detection every month and it just doesn't work. The last time they offered me a new type of service, I had to empty my entire kitchen and bathrooms, they didn't do the service, and they still haven't rescheduled it. Total lack of respect and lack of commitment to the residents. I do not recommend this place.
If you like being woken up on your ONLY day off every week at 7:00am by lawn guys who do a very horrible job, then this is the place for you. Price is decent but the maintenance guys suck. If need something done, either do it yourself or hire someone else. When you first move-in, make note of EVERY single thing wrong with the unit (There will be a lot). I moved in and there was literally paint all over my carpet. Bathroom grout was covered in black, moldy looking filth.
Peaceful, apartment is comfortable, neighborhood is quiet and friendly, leasing agent Bondy is extremely servicial and results oriented (she is the soul of this place). Need to improve: maintenance team(horrible, non professional, always looked for excuses to fix the problem, etc). Pool in front of my apartment has been closed to residents the whole summer (2017)without explanations. But, let some guys to make a big party. Lack of communication from Management. Lived there for 2 years. Cleanliness of common areas was a must the last year living there. Something has been changing last year to worst. In general, I wanna say: evaluate by yourself because I have a good experience, but last year I was disappointed with maintenance and their attitudes and services. Also, neighborhood were changing.
The alafaya woods apts are great and well kept. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. There are three great pools and close by to shopping like publix and IHOP :)
I like my apartment because it's upstairs and that makes me feel safer than what I would if I were on the ground floor. I like my apartment because it's in a very homey neighborhood. I like my apartment because my son gets to attend Oviedo High School, and that's where he wants to be because his friends go there. I like my apartment because I like the staff at the office. I like my apartment because I have made it my home. I am a single mom, and my rent is being raised to the point that I cannot afford it any longer and we will have to move. I like my apartment, I like my apartment, I like my apartment. I don't want to move. I'm so sad that we will have to move soon because I really like my apartment.
