The apartment itself is beautiful and the ceilings on the 4th floor apartments are very high which makes our 1 bedroom feel very spacious. We had a problem with ants when we first moved in at the beginning of september but the pest control quickly took care of it by spraying and we havent seen one since. The experience with neighbors who own dogs as pets has been awful. They leave behind their pets waste in common areas constantly. It makes it feel unclean and like an unsafe place to live. The employees at the front have been very gracious to listen and do their best to understand but ultimately it is not their responsibility. We have contacted management on how to break our lease early

Great location. Good neighbors mostly quiet. Maintenance response timely and take care of business. Thank you Doug! Well appointed has great amenities in suite. Decent rental rates. Rental staff is good about taking care of things. Greystar manages the building so some of their practices I’m not always in favor of.

For the price you pay, you would think “luxury” would come into play but that couldn’t be further from reality. The power goes out fairly often at least 1 time per month, the elevators are so slow and sometimes break for the day, the hot tub was growing moss in it, the grills outside barely work, they painted over everything rather than fix. Plumbing issues. Etc

Alanza Place has treated us pretty good in the past few months living here. We have had no issues living here, and the staff and maintenance workers are nice and efficient. Some gripes that I have living here are the enforcement of pool rules and the difficulty of finding parking inside premises: sometimes, people are far too loud and even sometimes staying late after pool hours (which closes at 11 PM, which I consider more than generous!) normally this would not be an issue to me but because our window overlooks the pool and all the buildings surround the pool which makes any sound echo much louder than it normally would.

Great units with upgraded appliances and fixtures. On fourth floor high ceilings with a nice view of Camelback. Underground and covered parking. Quiet. Kitchens could be bigger. Some common area Maintanance could be better. Great location.

the swimming pool and workout center is really nice, traveling in the underground garage and entering the elevator from that level is pretty scary and no cameras are around for some sort of comfort. office staff seems pretty nice I thought the complex would have more maintenance workers being that it is so many units. Well I am here now so I shall make the best of it and just hope I have some decent neighbors so far so good

Alanza is by far the best apartment complex in my experience. The reason is the staff who provide a beautiful resort like community. I would not suggest anyone move here. The assistant manager has been helpful. However, it is difficult/impossible to call the office and have the phone answered, and the most basic issues go unresolved without unnecessary amounts of time and effort on the part of the tenant.

Alanza Place is centrally located between Tempe and Downtown which is fantastic for my two college students (one attending ASU Tempe and one attending ASU Downtown). We have rented at a couple of places before finding Alanza Place, and Alanza is the cleanest and has the safest feeling to it which is the most important aspect to us. Though the cost of living is way too high these days, the price is really good in comparison to surrounding properties for the amenities offered.

Alanza has been great so far. We are truly in a centralized location. Close to the airport, 20 min from Scottsdale, and a few exits from the city. Toni who helped us with our apartment and getting our lease finalized was AMAZING! The apartment is spacious and updated. There is always parking available for guest. We love it!

This is the first time I had to apply for lease and I was a bit nervous but their help they made it super easy. The complex is well kept, Move in was a breeze with the help of the elevators. Pool is kept clean and same goes for the grills. I am a big grill person and to have that amenity is awesome. Gym is good I do wish it had a little more but it's perfect for getting in a quick cardio season in the morning and I will go to my usual gym after work. Overall if you are looking to get your first place or needing a new home I 100% recommend Alanza Place, The service they provide towards their tenants is amazing.

Long story should, The community manager was rude, unprofessional, and very condescending. I have a long review posted elsewhere, but this site says it’s too long. The manager was so rude I left there in shock. She made so many comments inferring about our financial situation and comments about communication, when the whole issue was her. I wouldn’t recommend for a homeless person to live there for free.

Alanza is located right off the freeway in Phoenix that puts residents in a great locations that’s 15-20 minutes from Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale and 10-15 minutes from Downtown Phoenix. In addition, the neighborhood north of the apartments have a ton of delicious food options in every direction. Overall location is fairly quiet with occasional noise that’s rarely bothersome. Apartment itself has been pretty great so far! Christen helped us through the entire process from initial point of contact, through the apartment tours, to personally checking our apartment before move-in and sending us pictures as well as having extra cleaning done to be sure it was up to her standards of being clean and ready. Ultimately, we picked up our keys from her and could not have appreciated a more seamless process. Living has been pretty great so far, noise heard within the apartment isn’t bad…I’ve never lived in an apartment and am surprised I’m not hearing more noise..but, all in all I would say it’s been a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable apartment near downtown Phoenix.

Not luxury, apartments are nice but the complex is dirty usually. Including dog poop and vomit in the hallways and spiders. There is also a big problem with spiders. They say that they spray at least every month but my patio that is covered in webs would beg to differ and worst part is I get charged every month for the spraying that they don’t do. On top of that we have found spiders in the apartment because the windows were done poorly and when it rains the same windows leak. Overall wouldn’t recommend if you don’t really need a place. Definitely not worth what they are charging. Gnats are also a thing, I have to bleach my drains once a month. The pool is closed at least 2 times a week so good luck trying to use it. The bathtub is also tiny which I guess isn’t a big deal to a lot of people but I am still mad about it. Since they got Hannah in the office they have been a lot better ( she’s actually the reason for the second star) but if you have to deal with Christian then good luck. Don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone that I like even a little.

I lived here for 2 years. The company changed management to greystar for my last probably 8 or so months. In that time, I had more issues with management than the rest of my time there combined. The front office lost my rent check and tried to evict me. After I called the bank and it showed that they had cashed my rent check several days earlier, they told me I needed to find a better way to pay my rent, despite a cashiers check being one of their approved methods. I was charged for their renters insurance policy despite having uploaded it to their site multiple times and spoken with the office about it multiple times. After move out, they refunded me the next renters deposit and first months rent, and after sorting it out, took my entire deposit and tried to charge me for utilities I already paid for. I have attempted to contact greystar for information on what Im being charged for and I cant get an answer out of anyone. Hannah and the 2 guys in the front office are some of the most incompetent employees I have ever seen. If that wasn't bad enough, I used to go the the complex gym very early in the morning before work and found homeless people sleeping in it on multiple occasions. Complex smells of trash, weed, or cigarettes art varying intervals. I was woken up multiple times by police choppers circling the area around the complex late at night on multiple occasions as well.

The move in experience went well, I have no issue with Alanza place as a whole so far, but trying to get the ac fixed in my upstairs unit has been a nightmare. I have not been able to sleep in my room comfortably because the temperature inside has been average 80 degrees.

Alanza Place has been a great apartment to live in. Not only are the units upgraded and spacious, the employees are kind and work hard to engage with the residents! I love the pool and landscape of this place and the fact that the clubhouse is a cool place to relax. The gym also has enough equipment to feel like you are getting a full workout experience. This is also a great location, close to everything! I love this place. My sister and I have our lease ending next year and will try to move to the condos across the parking lot. Shout out to Paul and I believe the manager Kristina, they are great!

The staff have impressed me with their willingness to help when they can, kindness, and professionalism. Some communication issues, maintenance issues with plumbing, and apartment was not fully ready on move in. They seem to be working hard though and want to help. Not as quiet as I would like, but I am not able to hear my neighbors talking, snoring, or watching TV like my last place. Things still have time and opportunity to improve.
