My experience here has been excellent. The leasing office is communicative and helpful. The building is nice, fantastic location above the King Soopers. I'm in love with my unit. Spacious parking garage. It's not perfect but there's a lot to love.

Alara is a great place to live! The location is optimal for access to the highlands as well as anywhere in downtown Denver. The apartments are nice, good quality, and all staff is very friendly and responsive. Maintenance is always quick in responding to concerns or issues. Alara’s staff is some of the best I’ve worked with. I would highly recommend!

We lived there near 2 years and cannot say enough good things about our experience. It's an excellent location with an easy walk to RTD trains and Coors Field.. The neighborhood is filled with excellent restaurants, bars, shopping and cafes. The building itself offers a fabulous pool, gym, underground parking and community rooms. The entire staff is professional, friendly and immediately responsive to any resident's needs. We highly recommend The Alara Union Station if you're seeking the city living experience.

Maintain the building and the units better. Don’t believe this is a luxury complex. We meet great people in the halls on occasion, but have little interest in the events, mainly because of the disappointment with upkeep. Only two events have caught our eye. The others, not really attractive or interesting.

While a little on the pricey side its amenities and location can’t be beat. Just a short walk to entertainment venues, food, shopping and so much more while also being in walking distance to union station makes it a no brained for people new and old to the city to move to.

Alara Union Station is a fantastic option for city living. So close to everything including the train station, baseball field, and many bars. Love having the gym to get my workouts in and its so convienent having the grocery store under us.

Alara at Union Station is among the top apartments in downtown Denver. The layouts are well thought out and spacious, with fairly modern designs. The amenities are above average compared to similar buildings in the LoDo area - plus, living on top of a grocery store cannot be beat. The staff equally excellent. They are all friendly and responsive and quick to help out. Furthermore, the overall cost is a lot cheaper than many of the other options around LoDo and LoHi. My only suggestion for someone looking at Alara is to consider the noise from the utility plant across 19th street. If you choose an apartment facing the utility plant, there will be some noise. Otherwise, we have never once heard noise or received noise complaints from anyone in the building.

The was the perfect choice for me to have great amenities, location, and a beautiful updated apartment for a good price. The staff here is very helpful and approachable, they respond quickly to any inquiries. The entire complex is in great condition and stays relatively quiet despite being right in downtown! Pros: Nice apartments, extremely convenient location, with friendly/helpful staff. Its nice to have an included gym, bank, restaurant, pool, grocery store, pharmacy and pet store all in the same building. It feels pretty safe despite the number of homeless outside in proximity to union station (security is usually around). I like my unit a lot - the bocce courtyard is generally pretty quiet. A couple cons: I can somewhat hear my upstairs neighbors/their dog at times. Valet trash is a huge con- people leave their trash out all the times/ the valet people can be picky, recycling bins aren't provided so they sometimes wont take it if i threw it in a paper bag unless its fully sealed. Also the pool is lovely but a hot tub would be a huge perk.mjk

I have no regrets about moving to alara Union station. Everything I want to do is within walking distance or a quick trip down the highway which we have multiple access points within a block. A bar and a grocery store are our bottom floor, and now a breakfast restaurant as well as a dispensary are next door. If you put in a greenhouse/ plant shop I'd never have to leave the building.

Loved it when I moved in! However the area has become crime ridden and Alara will do nothing to improve residents safety and continues to deny accountability and responsibility. No negotiation in leaving lease early, no grace, no empathy. Quick to charge residents but not quick to fix amenities. Frustrating!

Very nice people work and live here. This facility is maintained at a minimally acceptable level but the rental rate is low enough to make it acceptable.

Melanie made my apartment search and application experience so enjoyable. She was responsive and patient with my every question, and went beyond expectations to personalize my move-in materials. Lamont and Hannah have been so wonderful. They consistently made sure they learned how to pronounce my name correctly and always greet me by name in passing and when I come to the office. Every maintenance request has been tended to the same day I submit the request, and the techs are very friendly, courteous, and efficient. The housekeeping staff is also friendly and keeps the community very clean. I love my apartment, the location, and appreciate the security measures taken throughout the community. The staff here makes the experience even better. Im so glad I made the choice to live here.

I finally found my dream apartment! Living above a grocery store has been so convenient, especially during this hard time. The amenities are wonderful, and the staff is so amazing. I have been living at Alara for 2 years now, and was initially living in the unit next door but had to be moved within the first few weeks due to a terrible odor that they were unable to find a cause for. The assistant manager, Samantha, at that time was very receptive and came up to inspect my unit and figured out a solution quickly. After moving, I've had a great experience living here until recently. I should note that the apartment I moved from was unable to rent for nearly an entire year due to the smell! Over the last several months, my current apartment has started to develop the same odor in the entryway/kitchen. After multiple maintenance visits for inspection/replacement of suspected equipment, there has been no improvement in the odor. The same maintenance supervisor recognized the odor from before and remembered all of the issues I had. I was additionally told by another maintenance employee that multiple units in my vicinity smell this way and there has never been a cause found. Two outside vendors were brought in to scan for moisture & inspect ductwork but did not find a cause. The odor is concerning as my allergies/asthma have been terrible during this time and I am worried that something is making me sick. All I was offered was to put in a scent machine to mask the smell, or move units but would have to start over with a completely new lease again. I asked to please terminate my lease 1.5 months early, giving them 2 months notice as required for courtesy as I cannot stand the smell, and their response after 2 weeks was the two vendors that came in "didn’t smell" it so I was not allowed to waive termination. Both vendors that came in were wearing masks, the first was offered to remove his mask by the maintenance supervisor to smell but he said he was only there to check for moisture and was not interested. There is a new assistant manager now for the property, and not once has the management team come to my unit to inspect it. Additionally, the communication has been quite poor. It is frustrating that after being a loyal tenant for the last 2 years that the most I am offered is to pay an exorbitant fee (more than rent for the remainder of my lease) to terminate 1.5 months early, even after giving proper notice. I would not recommend this apartment complex or management team to anyone looking, as they clearly do not care about their tenants and will not offer help for issues that arise - even when they are out of the tenants control.

Alara is a very well maintained building. The maintenance team fixes problems usually within a day and the whole staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
