Property Ratings at Albany Glen
Maintenance is worthless, been living with a whistling ac unit that'll drive you insane. Walls are thin. Can hear people talking on their phones clear as day. Dirty grounds. Recycling blows all over the place and into neighboring pond. Management will send you a warning if you leave a towel out to dry yet people keep their bikes and toys out for months. Neighbors reconfigure their gardens. So much for keeping things uniform. It's like they sometimes feel like managing and most the time are lazy. Anticipate an ice rink during winter months. Renting should feel like home after work. Staff needs to go through hospitality training.

Not transparent at all. They hide important clauses in the lease. They use some word called Buyout, not sure how they calculate it but the bottom point of it is to squeeze money as much as possible from you. When I first asked the penalty, if by any chance I have to break the lease, they said we can work it out at that point. But when I really had a situation to break the lease just 2 months before the end of the term, they did some calculation and came out with $4000 and no matter, how much you convince them, they don't care as you are leaving the apartment. They give offer, when you are moving in and talk sweetly, but no the same , when you are leaving.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to review us. We're sorry to hear about any lack of clarity on our lease break policy, as we never to intend to mislead our residents. If you'd like to discuss your lease break options further, we'd be happy to set up a time to call us - email us at customercare@liveoakwood.com to connect. Thank you.
This has been a nightmare. From the health issues caused by the electrical equipment, to dog food in the carpeting to being able to hear my neighbor's cell phone vibrate through the walls in the bathroom and getting billed for things they don't provide backup for - just don't! The units are not worth the money and the office will tell you one thing, forget everything they said and make you out to be the bad one. I wouldn't recommend this place or management company to my worst enemy.
While the price is fair, the area is good and the amenities are decent, the cons of Albany Glen don't outweigh the pros. If you live on the first floor, the noise coming from the second floor is sometimes unbearable. A family of 3 lived above me for over a year, and I could hear their 2-year-old child screaming on a daily basis. I could also hear their music, footsteps, alarm clock, and even snoring, on a daily basis. If you live on the 1st floor, have fun trying to sleep in the summer/winter with your AC/heater making a ton of noise as it sits just feet from your bed. The issues mentioned above would have been bearable if not for this issue...a maintenance worker at Albany Glen inadvertntly hit my car with his truck. When I called Albany Glen's leasing office, they denied knowing anything about the accident. They denied knowing anything again after I had asked them to ask their staff if they knew anything about the accident. It was only after my insurance agent called and threatened them did the maintenance worker admit he did indeed hit my car. While there were some pros, the negatives above were too much for me to recommend anyone moving here in good conscience. There are better apartments in the area.
Albany Glen's management is horribly operated, and run by people who are not concerned with their resident's wellbeing. There is never ink in the communal printer, there is constantly piled up trash outside of the trash compactors, and the communal grill lids have been broken for over a year. Despite hearing all of these complaints by many, they do nothing to fix these problems. Additionally, they do not salt the sidewalks or the roads in the winter nor do they make an effort to plow the snow. Many tenants complained because they fell on the ice, however management did not care, nor did they do anything to fix the problem. In terms of the apartments, they are built extremely cheap. The toilet lids break after a month of living here, and you are forced to pay for a new one (which will break again).
This was the first place I moved to after moving from another city. I've lived here for about 5 months, and being someone who reads reviews religiously, I felt inclined to leave honest feedback for those considering moving here. First and foremost, I could not imagine having a better manager. Jennifer is SO incredibly friendly and bubbly and easy to approach. As well as one of the employees Ashley. Absolutely love them and it makes me feel comfortable knowing I can approach them with anything and they're more than willing to help. I live in one of the townhouses towards the back of the complexes. For the first month I didn't even know if we had neighbors because it's SO quiet around here. I love that. The neighbors are all very friendly - and I would say it's definitely more of a family apartment complex than like a college/party one like the LC - but I appreciate that, because you don't have to be kept up at night listening to loud neighbors or music. And don't get me wrong, the complex puts on little events for us - like wine tasting on Valentine's Day, which was really cute. I've read terrible things about AEP electric, which is what this complex has, but let me just say, it could be worse. Living in a townhouse it does make it a little more expensive, but piece of advice - never leave it on emergency heat... that makes it more expensive which we learned the hard way. But last month for example, with it being in the 80's... its so shaded because of the porch and roofing that just opening up the window's was all we needed and kept it extremely cool inside so kept our electric off and it was only $56. I'll take it. The gym equipment is nice... nothing fancy, but you learn to get creative with your workouts. There's free tanning available during office hours and the bed is nice and gets the job done. There are 2 pools, both of which are extremely clean.... as well as fire pit and outside grill. Also love that we are so close to literally EVERYTHING. The mall is right down the street... hundreds of restaurants to choose from, bank right down the road. PLUS.... free parking. Absolutely hate it when complexes have parking garages and you're forced to pay for parking every month AND whenever you have guests over they have to either park in a garage or at at meter. There's unlimited parking here and you can have as many cars as you want. REALLYYYYYY like that. So overall I would consider this a great place and great experience.
I have lived here for about 6 months now and love the quietness of the community. I have a lower 2 bed 2 bath unit which is great!! The carpets are super comfy the kitchen is nice even has a bar. The staff here is super friendly, Jordan and Jessica from the office have made living her amazing. As for living on the down stairs units you will occasionally but not often hear the upstairs neighbors (they even have a larger dog). You will hear their door open and close throughout the day since it right off your living room and 2nd bedroom wall, but since most people sleep at night it hasn't ever been a problem. Maintenance is great they quickly respond which is a major plus, even replaced our light bulbs next day. I highly recommend this place. Also they have a awesome starbucks machine in the clubs house!!!
One of the expensive apt communities in this area, but for nothing. Moved into their newly constructed apartment recently but can't get internet connection.Management does not take responsibility , they point fingers at the Service providers and the service providers can't get the connection set up until the address of the new apt shows up in their system. All these after the office staffs clearly telling me that setting up a connection is just a matter of an hour , before signing the lease. Also they have several move in offers listed , but none of those offers are applicable for the apartments available for move in????
I called in to see availability on a two bedroom town home, I spoke with Ashley and was happy to hear a pleasant voice who was very happy to answer all the questions I had. I decided to come out and see for myself. Walked into the clubhouse and everyone welcomed me with a smile even though I was disturbing their lunch. I sat down with Jennifer and explained that I just sold my home and had been to over 45 complexes and was exhausted . She made me laugh and said she would be more than happy to help. She took me to a town home and it's was awesome I'am not easily impressed and felt a sense of relief as to someone understood my needs and wanted me to be part of their community. Like I said I have been to numerous places in your area and more this was by far a winner for me. I was so impressed that I filled out a credit application and a hold fee. I look forward to becoming part of the Albany Glen community and will tell everyone I see that is in need to come and see you all. Bravo!! Tracey Saura
Albany Glen is a very nice community to call home. The apartments features very nice fixtures and provide name brand appliances including a washer and dryer in every unit. Some models have attached garages connected to your apartment. The professional landscape at the entrance of the community is simply beautiful and encourages residents to add their own "special touch" to their domain. A beautifully designed clubhouse features a tanning room, business center, health club quality gym and recreational area featuring complimentary Starbucks beverages. In addition, a nice size pool and grill area offers residents a place to relax during warmer months. Pets are welcomed and the community provides complimentary bags and disposal stations for pet waste. In order to help maintain a nice environment for everyone the community has implemented a DNA program for all pets to help encourage pet owners to utilize the waste disposal receptacles provided. The resident managers are very attentive and professional and do a great job coordinating activities for residents. The maintenance team is responsive and does a fabulous job maintaining this growing community.
Had multiple issues with so called brand new apartment. Lived in apartments for 2 weeks when track lights all went out. Leasing manager told us we were responsible for replacing light bulbs in brand new apartment. One of the reasons we signed the lease was for a 24 hour gym and months later they said it would no longer be available 24 hrs since not too many people use it. Someone broke a key into our door and we couldn't lock our apartment for over 24 hours it was not considered a emergency and they asked "what did we do to cause it". In the winter grab your shovels because they hardly shovel or salt until 5 pm after your were late for work or already got your car stuck in snow or outfit damaged climbing through all the snow. But on the bright side cheapest "luxury" apartments in the area.
Albany Glen is a nice apartment complex. I live in the 2 bedroom apartment and it is very spacious. The complex is fairly quite at all hours. The rent is a bit on the high side. Overall i like living here.
This is a brand new complex going up, and of course there have been delays along the way. However, when things come together this will be a wonderful place to call home. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The clubhouse is going to be awesome. I could never imagine having access to so many things. There will be billiards, a Sarbucks machine, a pub room, a tanning room, exercise equipment, a fire pit outside, an outdoor kitchen, and a heated pool. Can it get any better? You owe it to yourself to come see this great place in person!
