Hixson is a primarily suburban community just a few minutes north of Chattanooga proper. The comfortable distance from the city center has made Hixson a popular place for commuters to call home, and the community’s atmosphere is heavily geared toward leisure. Northgate Mall is well-known among the region’s shoppers, and the area surrounding the mall is where you’ll find the most dining options.
Residents have a large selection of outdoor activities: several golf courses can be found just minutes apart; North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy Area features a decently-sized network of trails; the Tennessee River and its various tributaries are great for boating and fishing; and Prentice Cooper State Forest is just a short drive away, opening up an even bigger natural playground to explore.

Property Ratings at Alden
Disclosed credit report prior to applying, they took my $250 to cover administration and application fees, and then denied us because of the same information we disclosed PRIOR to applying. I absolutely feel like this was duplicitous behavior by the management company and should be illegal. Also, they did not disclose their qualifications for consideration prior to the application process either.
This place is crawling with cockroach big ones, small ones, giant ones they are everywhere. I have never lived in a place that had roaches and it is disgusting. They crawl over everything, your food your dishes, your bedding, after awhile it feels like they are crawling on your skin. And although you have to pay a monthly exterminator fee it changes nothing. Take my advice and find somewhere else to live.

Bad insulation, the walls are thin, and there are a lot of bugs.

I would give 0 stars if I could!! This is the most unethically run business. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Living with mold(since August), sent off for testing and the CEO wanted the property manager to lie to us, have had our laundry room ceiling fall in 3 times, and have constantly been ignored by the CEO of the company, Max Weingarten. We will be taking legal action. Nothing but a money hungry POS. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE FURTHER DETAILS ON MY EXPERIENCE AT THIS PLACE I WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHARE MESSAGES AND PICTURES/DETAILS!!! No one should be treated the way they treat us.
The new management is doing wonderful things. Unfortunately I had to move cause my job took me to another state. I have 2 girls and I always felt safe letting them play outside. Never had any issues with neighbors. All of my neighbors became my extended family. I love this place and will definitely move back if my job ever sends me back to the Chart area.
My wife and I are coming up on our one year mark living at Autumn Brook apartments, and we cannot wait to leave. We have encountered problem after problem ever since we moved in. Before we moved in, there were large stains on the already dated carpet. We asked the management to address the carpet and their response was" we can just shred your lease." We should have taken them up on that. After we moved in, we kept noticing animal feces in the breeze way. the management, and all of their infinite wisdom, decided to take a picture of said feces, print it on the news letter, and pin it to everyone's door. shortly after that, with hardly any notice, they decided they were going to "re-seal" the parking lot. Over the course of two days, they towed a total of 31 vehicles, mine included. Needless to say, the office was very unapologetic of the $125 if cost each of us to retrieve our vehicles. We attempted to contact the corporate manager of the property who never returned phone calls or emails. We have had issues with maintenance letting themselves into our apartment, even after they were re-informed that we wrote into our lease taht no one was to enter our apartment without 24-hour notice, due to my work schedule being midnight shift. We encountered an issue with our kitchen sink, which took them months to fix. Most recently, we encountered a problem with our fireplace. The maintenance person initially said that he was going to have an outside company come to inspect the fireplace. Later, we were told by the office staff that nothing was wrong with our fireplace, and that if they were to have our inspected, they would have to have all of them inspected. A week later, they called to inform us that they were having a company come out to inspect our fireplace. To me, that is very suspicious. Also, there was a truck left parked in the parking lot that was blocking a second spot(on the corner) that was left abandoned and filled with trash. It took them two months to have the vehicle removed from the property. I could go on listing other issues we have encountered while living here but, by now, you should get the gist. Save yourself the headache, and heavily consider other options.

A grate place to live, good location, nice pool and exercise room. Friendly Management, and maintance People, that keep the place looking good. I live on the ground floor of building 5, there is 6 buildings in all. We sold our big home on 2.5 ackers, and moved here 3 years and 5 month ago, and it has been like on vacation all the time. I rate this apt. a 5 star.
