Minor, also known as Squire Park, is home to Seattle University, which sits along the western border. Only about one mile directly east of Downtown Seattle, this popular neighborhood is nestled between Seattle's International and Central Districts. Named for Seattle Mayor T.T. Minor who founded the Seattle Railway, this neighborhood has a rich history.
Like most downtown neighborhoods, Minor is densely populated, but there are several small parks, plenty of trees, wide sidewalks, and historic architecture that make Minor one of Seattle's most dynamic and attractive communities. This is a friendly community that provides a variety of housing, from charming bungalows to large apartment buildings. In addition to the university, Minor is home to the Swedish Medical Center's Cherry Hill campus.
Apartments in Minor place you close to downtown, Seattle University, and the medical center.

Property Ratings at Alderview - 300 11th Ave
I've lived here for several years (the main reason being I honestly hate moving). The rent price started out a fair deal, but as the years went by, the management changed and everything went down the crapper. When I first moved in, water/sewer and parking were included, but the greedy owners who took over decided to not only start nickel and dining you for everything, but also raise rent every year. Now this might seem normal to a regularly maintained building, but believe me, it is not. I think they vacuum the hallways once a year. If you look at the window sills by the elevators, they are covered in dust/dirt. The stairwell walls are unfinished. The trash container is outside and behind fences for some stupid reason. Makes you think twice about taking the garbage out when the sun is down. More cons include thin walls/ceilings, neighbors who blast music late at night, and the landlord or whoever to contact for emergencies is basically non-existent. If you have a problem late at night in this building, good luck to you. You either have to deal with it yourself or wait till the following business day. You ain't getting any help otherwise. The only reason I gave it an extra star is location. It is within walking distance to Safeco and Centurylink field. My advice for you is: If you can find elsewhere, even if it means paying little more, do it.
