I've lived here for over a year and a half and the experience has been very good. The location is convenient to almost everything - Mall, groceries, Costco, etc. and is very close to the freeway for access to the city. Above all, however, it is safe, quiet and the neighbors seem respectful. Also, Kecia at the front office is wonderful to deal with.

The place is calm and peaceful. Though building is old, I can say it is well maintained. Residents respect the quiet hours. On the other, you can smell occasional smoking, to which I would run into my unit to avoid it, or I could not stay long at the balcony. Staff were helpful when I moved in. So overall, atm, it is great to live here.

This place was good until it wasn't. I miss the old people. They were actually people that understood and cared about residents. Having a new prejudice apartment manager that lowered rent to my friend of an opposite race and then told me to move to Tacoma. Not only did she say that I heard her say to someone that it’s okay that they were going to be late but get it asap, but when I was late she immediately wanted to talk about an eviction. To the office holding our small apartments held up by the items in our house from our patios for a week because the apartment complex and the contractors can’t schedule and set out days on which units will be done on certain days. To the dog poop because other residents can’t pick up after their dogs but have them. To shopping carts that residents bring into the complex but the apartment managers won’t remove it. Anytime my friends ask me is my apartment complex available I tell them to look somewhere else. Please do not move here Beware

We love how quiet it is. Our neighbors keep to them selves and for the most part they are pretty respectful when it comes to quiet times. We feel so safe here. If we have any issues they get fixed right away. The maintenance is awesome!

Recently moved in and we are really enjoying everything about this place so far. Maintenance was incredibly fast to deal with the couple minor issues on move in. The manager was very friendly & super informative and took the time to show me around the grounds even though she was extremely busy, the maintenance staff took the time to personally introduce themselves and let me know if anything was needed to just let them know. I really enjoy living at Alderwood Park as it is close to so many establishments, restaurants, grocery stores, and the mall, and super convenient to the freeway. Also, the amenities are great and the staff is helpful. Great place to be!

Units are pretty basic, the fireplace is a double-edged sword because it's nice to be able to supplement the electric heaters, but it takes up a decent chunk of your living room. Vents also don't really help with humidity in the bathrooms so mold is a frequent problem in most units. You currently have two ISP options which is nice, and overall the complex is mostly quiet (though the walls are thing so this will vary heavily with your neighbors, maybe we've been lucky) with lots of trees. Do note you'll be forced to pay for ValetTrash on top of your rent and carport because. If your unit is far away from the dumpsters I guess it's nice but $30 a month seems steep, especially when they only do it 5 days a week and frequently skip service as well. If the rating system allowed half stars I've bump it up a half star.

Alderwood Park is a fine apartment complex. The location is highly convenient with many useful businesses nearby. The rent is reasonable enough, comparable to others in the area. The amenities are nice including the gym in the clubhouse. The staff is very personable and professional.

Leasing staff and maintenance staff are awesome! Very quite location. No noise problem at all, except airplanes during night time. Community is very safe, packages were never missing. Parking to unit is a bit distanced, but it was joyful to walk passing by dogs and squirrels.

Its a nice, quiet, and quaint apartment complex. Located 5 minutes from all of the major grocery/department stores, this area has all the luxuries of the city but the peace of the suburbs. Front office and maintenance are a pleasure to deal with and the team is very communicative. Neighbors are friendly and everyone seems kind.

The complex itself is clean and feels overall safe. The staff has always been helpful, polite, and understanding. The maintenance staff especially work and respond in a timely manner. The location is perfect a lot public transportation available and different things to do close by.

Not worth it
Not worth it, even though location is good. They add on tons of numerous fees, dont take care of trash and dog poop everywhere. Stuff constantly goes broken, and they wont fix it.

So over it. Not a clean community.
Since Avenue 5 took over, the maintenance guys are great, however... I am being forced to pay for trash pick up from my front door yet the team that is responsible for the pick up, either never picks it up, or when they do, the trash ends up all over the stairs and entry of the units. I double bag my trash to avoid any tearing and I live by myself, so I know my trash isn't overly heavy or risky.. But I'm forced to have to clean up their mess. The garbage dumpsters and recycling are always overflowed with junk and furniture so I am unable to take anything down myself also.. so not only am I paying for a service that isn't working but I'm also unable to fix it. There are carport spots that are being used as storage for boxes and furniture. I'm disappointed that I am paying to live in a community that resembles a dump. My lease is up in Feb 2019.. but I'm so over it already.. I will not be resigning..

Great Place
This place is awesome! Not only is it super close to the Alderwood Mall and movie theaters but the complex feels like a mini resort! My nephews love to visit for the playground and my dog loves the dog run area. It’s a bummer that the hot tub, fitness center and clubhouse are closed for renovations, but I’m excited to see how they turn out. The ladies in the office are so friendly and made the whole process of moving easy. I had maintenance out to fix a few things and the guy was quick and fixed everything the same day I notified the office that there was a problem. He even had treats for my dog! I look forward to settling in and thank you Alderwood for making me feel at home!

Greystar Hidden Fees
Our lease contract states the Early Move Out Fee was about $800.00. A life-changing event required us to move early. After we made arrangements we were told the fee for breaking the lease was more than $1900.00. Apparently there was a form that was supposed to be included when we signed, but wasn’t. Now we’re paying for Greystar’s mistake. We felt taken advantage of, and had to pay. We did not have a good experience living here and we would not recommend. Sign at your own risk.
