Urban Center Irving is a small commercial district offering plenty of options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Lake Carolyn rest in the middle of the area, anchoring the neighborhood. Urban Center has a variety of lakeside eateries, retail stores, and apartments offering gorgeous views.

It's 2 in the morning on a Friday night. I was woken up by my 'Smoke Detector'. No, there's no smoke or fire in my apartment. I have complained about this issue over months and it was never solved. It'll never be solved. My only sweet release from all these countless sleepless nights is that my lease is ending this month. Well deserved 1 Star for this sad community. I'll post this review repetitively until either my problem is fixed, or I leave this community. I strongly believe it'll be the second case because there's no way I expect the management to get this fixed.

Short review: don’t move here. Long review: The management only cares about taking your money. They put on a nice, new coat of paint on the buildings, but inside they are never cleaned. Trash all in the halls, elevators, stairwells. And I dare you to get someone on the phone ?? not going to happen. It’s cheap for a reason. I get if this is your only option in your price range, but don’t say you weren’t warned.

I've lived here for a few years now and it was all good in the beginning. Great location and nice amenities. But the longer I have stayed, I've started to hear about crimes happening in the garages and started to see the property deteriate and see police cars more often. I have also seen a broken window facing the lake. The problem is that there's no security here whatever. No gates, no cameras. The gate in the garage is almost never working so its left open often. They never answer the phone and hardly ever respond to emails. It's time for me to look for a new place.

The complex is maintained. Trash, cigarettes and dog pooped everywhere. Parking garage is not monitored and people who live there are trashy and hateful. People take advantage of pool time as if the pool was their individual pool. Loud music. My daughter lives here and she will be moving. Worse apartment.
The Location is great, but its not worth spending so much money for no reason. When I first moved in, I was told that they were going to work with me on admin fees. However, the guy never mentioned it to the rest of the staff which led to a lot of misunderstanding confusion. After my first 2 months of stay everything was fine until I moved out. I cleaned the apartment spotless and they still charged me a $50 cleaning fee which is fine, but they kept my deposit and said I owed them $200 more for no reason. I still have statements to show that there is no reason to keep my security deposit or to charge me $200. When I went to the office several times to discuss this, they did not want to hear me. In total they kept my security deposit, charged me $200 extra, plus rent. The Location is nice, but the leasing office will do everything they can to get extra money out of you so be mindful.

My summary of my 1-year living in Alesio Urban Center: 1. Safety issue - Gates are never locked, anybody can just walk to your front door. 2. No Privacy - Especially in the gym, fully exposure to the street. I had been harassed 3 times by people walking outside of the gym - making rude/sexual gestures to get attention. If you enjoy people watching you while working out, this might not be an issue for you. 3. Noise at night - there have been countless times I was waken up by the fire alarm/random car alarm at the parking garage right across apartments at midnight. Sometimes it triggers fire department trucks’ visit which makes it even harder to go to sleep. This leads to their next issue. 4. Broken equipments - parking garage gates keep broken, elevaters keep broken, fire alarm goes on all the time. 5. IRRESPONSIBLE STAFF - I sent 4 emails to the staff about being harassed at the gym and requesting actions to protect residents' safety and privacy. They just ignored my emails. No response, no concerns,no actions. I had to personally go to the office; however, the manager told me they wanted people outside to think how nice this property is with ceiling to floor windows to look through and they did not care about residents' privacy. On average, the wait of response from Alesio Urban Center staff is more than A WEEK, and you have to keep emailing or else they just ignore your emails. They are nice only to POTENTIAL residents, they do not care about the existing residents. All they care are sales and $. My advice to the property: it is OK to have problems, please be thankful when people bring them up. What matters more is how you handle your unhappy residents. You don't want to make them even unhappier when you are still trying to make money out of them.
I signed up for this apartment 6wks before moving in, water damage in ceiling, patio door will not open, patio has mold growing on, toilet will not flush, no water pressure, flithly hallways, lied about promotions. water smells like sewer

Immediately after receiving my keys, I headed to my apartment to meet my movers and noticed that I didn’t even have to let them into the building as the security gates were unsecured. I thought this was strange at first but dismissed it as an isolated instance. Upon entering my new apartment, I noticed that the floors were still filthy with black residue and there were stains on the door that were not addressed, even though I was assured upon leasing that this would be rectified. A week later, I noticed that the security gates to get into my building were STILL not secured and upon further discovery and questioning of neighbors, this had become “the norm” here at Alesio. This very much concerns myself and other fellow residents as there are multiple access points (both residential and public) into the apartment buildings. What is the point of having the security gates or gate FOBs if they are useless?! On the 10th day upon moving into my new apartment, I went into the leasing office and expressed my dissatisfaction of the aforementioned issues as well as other issues not stated in this review. I spoke with the property manager and referenced the ’Move-in Satisfaction Guarantee’ clearly advertised on their Lincoln Properties Management website, which she seemed to be unaware of. On day 20, I again contacted the property manager expressing my dissatisfaction only to discover that my original email was never forwarded to their regional office. She then forwarded my email to her Regional Property Manager to see what they could do. After not hearing anything and following up with them more than once, I finally heard back from the property manager only for her to relay the message from their regional manager that they would not be able to honor this “Move-in Satisfaction Guarantee." They told me I had to pay back all of my concessions as well as pay an early termination fee equal to 1 ½ month’s rent. As I am writing this, I am STILL within my 30 days of receiving my keys. My original dissatisfaction was with the condition of the apartment and community but now I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of customer service and false advertising of this so-called “Move-in Satisfaction Guarantee”. I would strongly advise NOT leasing with this community due to my experience. Furthermore, I will not lease with Lincoln Properties at all in the future knowing that they truly do not care about their residents and advertise false promises.
Where do I even start? I was pretty excited to move in here. A renovated unit with a fireplace and a lake view? Plus it was attached to the parking garage. It was perfect. Well, that's where the excitement ended. I moved into my unit(1727) in May of 2016, less than a week later I was dealing with a roof leak...on the first floor. And not a small leak, I would have an inch of standing water in my living room and bedroom every time it rained(and it rained a lot that summer). Maintenance would come "fix" the problem and a few days later when it rained again I'd be dealing with the same problem. This went on from May to September when I had finally had enough. (Side note: don't bother trying to contact Amber(regional property manager) for anything. I emailed and called several times and got one response during this whole ordeal) After causing a scene I was finally moved to another unit, a larger one...at my expense. On top of that, they even raised my rent. As a consolation I got one month free. You would think the nightmare ends there but, it doesn't. Three months after moving to the new unit, my car was stolen from the parking garage. If you've been keeping up I'm sure you'll be able to guess how helpful the office was with that. This place is a mess. Nothing works. Only one gate in my building actually locks, the gates in the garage are always broken, and don't even bother with the elevators, they don't work. The pools look great, when they're open, but don't look too close. Don't even get me started on the amenities listed on the website, they're all under construction. Yet, they still charge these ridiculously inflated rent prices. Save your money, there are much better options right across the lake.
I wish if I had trusted the reviews where they said clearly" DO not go to this apartment" I was so in love with the surroundings and decided to book an apartment even without having a look...My mistake!! Do not do it ..and don't just listen even they say all the good stuffs about the apartment until you see it through your eyes! They bluff.. Most important thing is Deposit is not refundable even if your case is very genuine once you pay it ..They wont listen to you...I tried a lot to make them understand how wrong impression about the apartment was given (you will be in love with apartment if you just listen) ...which was totally opposite when I saw the apartment... So go see the apartment before you sign anything!! Not a very good experience with Application process..Disappointed !!
I'm writing specifically about the application process at Alesio, and what to expect from it as a US visa holder. It was made abundantly clear to Alesio that I am on a work visa whereas my wife, being fairly new to the States, is on a tourist visa. Because of this reason I know that my wife cannot be an applicant on the lease agreement. Our application was approved on March 23. A couple of weeks later I receive an email from Haley requesting proof of income for both my wife and I. I provided my pay stubs and informed them yet again that my wife, being on a tourist visa, isn't currently working in the US. We never heard from them after this particular exchange. We called them on May 7 and were told that the apartment won't be ready till June 8 since a few architectural changes were required, pushing the completion date by almost a month. Upon reaching the leasing office we realized that none of the people we interacted with in March work there anymore. 5 minutes later we were told that a beam needs to be installed in the kitchen to prevent the roof from collapsing on our heads. Fair enough. We agreed to now move in on June 11. During the same meeting, it was revealed that they hadn't (magically) received my wife's application and so we decided to fill up a paper version of the application which was handed to them on the same evening. The next afternoon I received an email stating that our application has been rejected with the reason for rejection being my wife's being on a tourist visa. We met the Assistant Manager next day explaining to her how we've lost 7 weeks because of this. She agreed to re-do our lease with only my credentials on it. Because of the visa situation, this time I made sure to provide them all the details of my immigration status. The next afternoon I received a courtesy call from Luis telling me that the application is still rejected since the lease expiration date is greater than the date on my i94. I made sure to give them a letter from my employer which stated that my contract with them has been extended for at least 12 months, but unsurprisingly, this proof wasn't accepted by Alesio. Considering the location and the quality of apartments at Alesio, we were utterly disappointed with how irresponsible and unprofessional their leasing staff is, that did not bother to inform us of their policies in a timely manner, depriving us of precious time that we could've used to continue our apartment search.
I pay $25 monthly plus fees for picking up the trash and is literally like if Im sending my money to the trash itself. The do pick up the trash every day, but you can see the trail of stinky water and rotten food all the way down the stairs into the trash room because they literally drag the bags. On the weekends you we’ll see the trash room door opened and you will see that the trash bags are all over the place without being actually throw into the container. They will tell you that the residents are the ones doing that but I saw the maintenance team throwing the trash there, there are roaches all over that place and the stairs will smell like the bottom of the trash can, that is inadmisible, I woke up the other day and saw blood spots all over the stairs, there is almost a week from that, and they are still there, also you can see dog feces, beer cans, cigars, etc. The place is just not hygienic at all, just because of that I won’t recommend it to nobody
I would just like to start by saying I have lived in the area now for 6 years and this is my fourth apartment complex. A couple years ago I came here to rent a unit and the management was absolutely horrible. It's safe to say everything has changed now. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with JD in the leasing office and he ultimately followed through and sold us on moving here. He was the best leasing agent we have worked with in our experience. He was kind, easy to work with, and extremely diligent in meeting us halfway every time we needed something. I was on the verge of staying with my previous complex (who offered me 12 month pricing for 6 months) but it was JD that showed us that Alesio had so much more to offer. Truly the staff now is what makes this place great!
This, by far, has been the worse experience in my ENTIRE APARTMENT LIFE! I moved here from out of the area to DFW for a job offer. Since I’ve never been to the DFW Metroplex, I contacted an apartment locator service to assist me with my apartment search. The representative rated and raved about Alesio Urban Center, which drove as to why I chose the community. Everything from the approval process to moving in was smooth sailing, but once I moved in, that’s when it all began. This is the nastiest and the filthiest property/ apartment complex that I have EVER lived in. The buildings are not cleaned and the trash room in my building is another story. I have been complaining since the day that I moved in and Lincoln Properties has yet to permanently fix the issue of the uncleanliness of the property and not to mention, the service. After writing several emails and showing my face at the rental office and three and a half weeks later, someone FINALLY came to fix the battery in the smoke detector in my apartment (in which I had to threaten to go to corporate because of their response time). I have been COMPLAINING to the staff that this issue needs to be rectified FOR MONTHS and nothing has been done. After speaking with SEVERAL neighbors, they have the same concerns and issues. One of the excuses that the leasing office uses is that they are renovating the property (in which they are). HOWEVER, that is NO EXCUSE for the uncleanliness of the property and not being able to get a handle on how the property should be cleaned. Regarding the trash room on the property, I can understand that the company not being able to do anything in regards to neighbors not wanting to walk up 4 steps to putting their trash in the trash shoot. The leasing office previously put out a notice that states that if caught, the individual will be fined. It is OBVIOUS that the leasing company does not take what’s happening seriously because myself and several other neighbors still come home to nasty hallways, smelly hallways, un-mopped buildings, un-swepped hallways and other neighbors leaving their trash on the trash room floor and not wanting to walk up four steps (which un-allows me and others), to take out their own trash. It is us, as tenants, our responsibility to take our trash out properly, but if there are issues regarding where and how the trash is being disposed is a management issue and needs to be addressed ACCORDINGLY AND IMMEDIATELY! i love this complex I have lived here before a while back and decided to move back when I came to back to Texas. I love the view and I also enjoy the staff they are super friendly and are always willing to help. The only bad thing is the wait in the office but they are trying to take care of that as well. Overall it is a wonderful place !
I love my location, the convenience and the ambiance of my property. It's located on the lake and I'm able to take a quick walk while enjoying the nice view of the property.
1100 ft.² studio with big balcony looks over main drive/shopping area. Off-highway with lake on property edge. At the edge of business district that once was being booming and is now waiting but still busy. About 15 years old or older has old appliances and bad roof. Had water leaks that rundown wall like waterfall. Gated but half of the locks don't work, drive up parking garage with gate that seldom stays locked and is always open and allows anyone to come in. Exterior building locks to street have gaping holes and do not lock. For security two separate occasions have had vehicle vandalized due to gate being open and open access by the public. Office will not answer phone have to go through automated phone system and still leave a message. Third management in little over a year. Staff and office lied about amenities and billing setup for utilities. Just signed a lease to find out past management had lied about the these. You pay for security but there is none and management makes excuses for repair not being done due to other work going on. Regret signing lease again. Hoping new management will make improvements as stated still cannot get a phone call answered without trying six or seven times. Not impressed with new management. They have made a few improvements, maintenance states more to come. I see this to be a long process. Love the location and my floor plan just not the managing companies.
The place is clean. The staff is usually helpful. It's right next to Lake Carolyn so the whole place has a resort-style-vibe to it. Keep in mind, for about the same price rent costs, you could get into a full size house near Plano or Arlington. The Alesio Urban Center Apartments are best for those that are looking to room up with other college buddies, work in the vicinity or just want an obscure place to start over. Beware of the parking. It always seems like there is not enough street level parking. If you can't find a place near the curb, you'll have to find a spot up in the parking garage so be ready for lots of stairs and long walks to and from your car. Also the local Indian Food place nearby called Bombay Sizzlers insists on power washing their kitchen floor out side down the street every night at closing. This means you'll find the smell of chicken broth run off on the side of the curb right next to the parking garage and in the Texas Summer, it's no fun. Watch your step !
