The size of our very desirable townhomes is on par with some single-family homes, with nearly 1,500 square feet of living space. Live large? Yes, please! What’s more, we have big plans in the works, with each apartment scheduled for a bit of a makeover. Upgrades include quartz counters, stainless appliances, eco-friendly flooring, new fixtures, strategically placed USB ports (you’re going to love that), and more. Very poor quality, sloppy, incomplete renovation and overall poor customer service from leasing staff (and regional manager apparently too busy to respond to customer satisfaction issues after more than a week waiting for a reply) Scratches on the floor of "newly renovated" unit, sloppy interior paint job including paint on kitchen cabinet hardware and on door knobs, paint stains on patio, old front door in need of repainting with rusty door lock, old ripped window screens (apparently original to the apartment when it was built 15 years ago) and the list goes on. Decided I wasn't going to wait weeks (or longer) for all the problems to be corrected so decided not to finish moving in. Got most of my money back (minus most of my app/admin fee of course) but they still charged me for 4 days rent while I was waiting for the leasing staff to get back to me. No apology ever offered and never once did any of the staff acknowledge that the quality of the apartment wasn't acceptable. Very disappointing.

Beautiful apartments, where there may be a couple dents and scratches, however the speedy response and effectiveness of maintenance far out paces any issues. The community is kind and polite, the amenities are divine and as mentioned above the maintenance team is quality.

We do appreciate the hospitality we've received thus far from our office. The establishment is beautiful, both the apartments and the main office, and the amenities such as the pool, gym, and club area are quite charming and quite providing. Parking is a bit limiting at times, and trash valet is available, though inconsistent. Would love to see a strong, knowledgeable staff that has every interest in making the moment right with their tenants~

Great community and great apartment
We have lived here for 8 years and we have loved it. Would hate to have to move but on fixed income and to have to move to an updated unit is to much money.
Alister Balcones is situated in a great location (off 183 and Anderson Mill). The value received for the low monthly rent is outstanding. We enjoy our Town Home. One of the major deciding factors (beside value) was the staff, namely Daniel, who clearly cares about the community and does his best daily. Overall, great location, fair price, caring staff... That's all you need!
Unfriendly office staff, generally unhelpful and will not accommodate or work with tenants if it is inconvenient for them.

So excited to live in this wonderful complex. The office staff are all lovely and consistently helpful. Maintenance issues are immediately addressed and done very well with wonderful professionalism and trustworthiness. No words can adequately express what an enormous difference in efficiency, expertise and superiority we thankfully have found here!

I moved to Austin in 2016 and I've been living in Allister Balcones since I arrived. Since the new management company has taken over, the overall quality of the property has gone up. Maintenance staff is more professional and provides prompt services. The Property Management staff was tremendous improvement and the new amenities are greatly appreciated especially valet trash services.
I moved here about a year ago ,the place is very clean ,great location, nice ,friendly community , the management is very friendly and they try to solve your problems as quickly as possible .
My apartment layout is great, the community is friendly, and the amenities like the mail room, trash/recycling pick up, gym, pool, and dog-friendly areas are great. I love living here.
Lovely and spacious floor plans and beautiful landscaped property. Excellent Managers always willing to help you. They often have events for tenants.
The first year hear was amazing, but the second year is when everything changed. I have had broken appliances so many times that I don't keep track of it anymore, and for them to tell you that the new appliances go into the new apartments is not right. We pay rent just like everyone else.

We're very happy with living here at Alister Balcones, & would recommend it as a place for anyone desiring a safe & quiet environment. The services provided are excellent, all presented in a very professional manner yet with warmth & personal touch.
Friend had to move from apt to another due to unsafe area in this complex. Now to find out this apt area is worse. Homeless and other walking all hours of day and night by back door. Charging $200 for cleaning of apt that they moved out of and it was clean when it was move out of. It was not clean when they move into it or the 2nd apt was not clean. People on 2nd floor making all kinds of noise after 10pm. This is not a safe place kids or anyone else. Shooting at gas station next door. They have a gate for cars to get in and out which is broken a lot. No gate around complex so what is the gate for. All kinds of people cut through this complex. Have you noticed how many vacancy they have? Place is overpriced for apts in this area. They have to do specials to get renter because most dont stay longer than a year. Maintenance is a joke. Alstair balconies only own this place a few years and going down hill ever since. There too many nicer and safer apts complexes in Austin to settle for this unsafe overprice and poorly run complex. Dont put your kids or yourself in leasing here! They and you deserve better.

If you are looking for a clean Community with an awesome Staff, including Maintenance, then this is the place for you! They are also very Pet Friendly.
I love the layout and finish of my apartment. As soon as I walked in I fell in love. The community amenities are really niceI love that there is a salt pool and a spacious work out facility. The trash and recycling pick up at my door is also a very nice perk.
I moved here last year from California. I found these as intriguing as it was close to my work and very nice apartments. I worked with an amazing apartment locator to discover these amazing apartments. I only had only two complaints here, the extremely high dog fee and deposit ($600, $300 is refundable), and it is a little more in rent then I have seen at other communities close to here and around Austin, however, you get what you pay for. The apartments are beautifully renovated, the office staff is first and foremost friendly and outgoing and super helpful. The maintenance staff is amazingly responsive and always addresses problems right away and one fix is all you need. I have loved living here, and am considering re signing for another 13 months. If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Austin, that is safe, nice and you will enjoy, you cannot go wrong with Alister Balcones.

Just moved in a month ago and so far everything has been amazing! Community staff are all very friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests for things we noticed upon move in were completed quickly. The pools and other amenities are great and all very clean!
The first day I toured the community I felt right at home. The staff are AMAZING!!!! Very professional yet they feel like good friends. Great amenities and wonderful maintananice team. Close to great shopping and numerous restaurants and activities. Come share the experience, you will not regret it!!!!
There has been amazing improvement in the quality of care & service here in our apartment complex since Alister Balcones has taken over the management. Other then a few hiccups, I have absolutely LOVED living here. The parking is pretty awful, and I had a poor exp. yesterday with a maintenance service, but these things will happen. Over all, the community is very kind, the rent is reasonable, the pool area has been redone and looks amazing, the gym is great, the grounds are kept very nice (minus the dog poo) and it just....feels homey. Everything about this gated community feels like home and I really love living here.
Since Alister Balcones has taken over management of the complex they have made many upgrades making the look and feel of the newer apartments fabulous! Amenities and community events are my favorite. Neighbors are quiet on my end:)
