Property Ratings at Alpine Heights Apartments
There weren't a lot of options when I moved to the area and this was one of the few places that had available apartments. I saw why after moving in. The smell is horrendous and everything in my apartment is now embedded with smells of cigarette smoke and who knows what else. The hallways smell of something awful where I had to hold my breath sometimes. I couldn't leave for the weekend without taking the smell with me on my clothes and I have never smoked. The neighbors were very loud and stayed up late with the volume on their TV/speakers up. The landlord rarely responded to any requests on maintenance or questions about the apartment; and if he did it took several days. The laundry in the basement only made my clothes stink worse and the dryers always needed at least 2 cycles to dry anything put in it. Overall not a great experience, the ONLY plus was it was dirt cheap; but I got what I paid for...
The only good thing is that rent is very affordable. The cons is that the neighbors made up complaints and lies about me that is totally untrue. It happened on more than one occasion . I wasn't even home when they made those lies up. I was living in a different city for a few months before I moved out of there, I just finished out my lease in my apartment. The manager or whoever emails or takes calls isn't very friendly. They show you an apartment that's not the one you'll be getting. There was rips and holes in the carpet, holes in the window screens and if you get a first floor apartment then you can hear the people who live above you walking around. Things aren't very updated but you get what you pay for.
