Property Ratings at Alpine Village Apartments
Before you decide to live here.. do yourself a huge favor by driving by the apartment/townhouse you are debating on renting at night and scope out your soon to be neighbors. My friends teenage neighbors can't seem to NOT drunkenly yell outside everyone's windows between 12am and 4am. You could even hear them over the industrial box fan.. but if you sleep like the dead and are looking for a cheap/affordable place to live that seems spacious this might be the one for you.
I'm not one to usually leave a review, but I had to make an exception for this one. As a previous manager for a company, I can say that my experience with this leasing office was probably one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had with any business. From the first moment someone answered the phone (No name provided, nor was apartment complex mentioned), they almost sounded miserable or lifeless. The conversation was VERY brief and didn't seem to want to speak anyone on the phone. I thought that maybe the person was having a bad day. Either way, I inquired about their listing on Apartments.com and was told there was availability on 8/22. I was told to apply and then call them once I had applied. Since this was a VERY urgent matter for me with me moving over 1,000 miles away back to my hometown in Florence, I pay the $30 application fee, apply, and call back and was told they would look into it and would give me a call back. That day I never received a call nor did I receive one the next day until I initiated the call. When inquiring about my application, I was told that it was approved and that I would need to call back the following Monday to speak with Andrew about the move in details. The following Monday, I call and of course I was told in a very unwelcoming manner that no apartments were available and that the earliest opening wasn't until the month of October. Of course as confused as I was after being told my application was approved, I attempted to explain my situation and was basically being told in a hinted way that I was lying about my application being approved because it was never processed. In a very friendly manner, I proceeded to explain my side and was cut off mid sentence and was told that I would be refunded the application fee if that works for me. The fact that I was personally lied to about their availability and that their website on Apartments.com STILL SHOWS that there is current availability today and on the 22nd shows how unprofessional this place is. From the way they dealt with this situation, to the very unwelcoming tone in their voices, to the way they intentionally misinformed me to make a profit off of an application fee, it was all very unprofessional from start to finish. It seems like they are listing themselves as "Available" in hopes for people to PAY for applications to just get denied. Either way, I don't recommend just based off of this leasing experience.
I lived here for one year (2015-2016), in a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment on the ground floor. Before I moved in, they put in new wood floors, and new carpet in the 2 bedrooms. It was mostly clean, and I think the paint job was fresh, too. Every lamp worked. It's very spacious. I had empty closets, and with the awesome dine-in kitchen, I had plenty of free cupboard space as well. The balcony was elevated on the first floor, and faced woods just a few feet away. Very peaceful and gives a sense of privacy. The only negatives are that the appliances are old, and the showers/tubs are for short people only. For the first few months the unit above me was empty. Once someone moved in, I realized how lucky I had been. I could hear every word spoken, and was kept up by snoring every night from then on. The pool is nice, and was enjoyed a lot during summer evenings. I'd give these guys a full 5 stars, except a lot of the facilities are not maintained. The tennis courts are cracked and overgrown with weeds, the gym is small and lacking in equipment. The pool chairs and tables are old, dirty and broken. But then again I also never asked them to improve on any if it. Maintenence is great. Fast, friendly, and down to business! Management is friendly, and I experienced no problems with them at any time. Honest and professional. Overal a really good place to live. I'd recommend it!
The complex has lots of trees but even though it seems seems secluded, it's actually close to shopping and schools. My apartment had new or nearly new carpet and appliances. Both bedrooms had big walk in closets and every room was sized just right. Not "crampy" like some other apartments. The rent was competitive but this place included free WiFi!. After I saw the private balcony that looks in woods. I immediately said yes!
Alpine village is a wonderful apartment, it remind me of home. Actually after July 5 it became home, After my mother and I house burn down. We lost everything and only was given a month to live here at Alpine village. After this month we currently will not have a place to stay. It would mean so much if I could win free rent for life for my mother. She deserves everything and this would make her so happy and relieve so much stress. Please please help me and my mother we have nothing and would be very appreciative to win this drawing. Thank you.
I currently reside in the Alpine Village apartments in Florence, AL. My wife and I love it here. They are very clean and well maintained. The price is also very reasonable compared to how nice they are. There are many amenities also. There is a nice clubhouse which has a racquetball court, a sauna, and an exercise room. The pool is amazing. It also has a basketball court and a tennis court. I haven't checked it out yet but there is a lake and or pond where you can go fishing too. I have only lived here a month but I am very pleased that I chose Alpine Village.
