Property Ratings at Alta Peak
I lived at Alta Peak for a little more than a year, and the building was always clean and well maintained. Kendra as well as maintenance crew were always friendly, super responsive and efficient. Special shout out to Dora for going above and beyond and for genuinely caring about the residents in the building. Overall it has been a great place to stay!

Thank you so much for taking time to review! We're so happy to hear you're enjoying your living experience with us.
Alta Peak is one of the best-run apartment buildings I've ever experienced as a renter. Management is extremely responsive - when we submitted requests for maintenance, we got responses the same day or the following day. The property is kept clean and nice. The gym is great, as is the parking garage. Loved our time living at Alta Peak!

Thank you for your review! It means so much to the team to read your kind words.
I’ve been living here in Alta peak since April and the experience has been amazing! It’s in a great location, walkable neighborhood and the management team: Dora, Kendra and Gustavo are amazing. Always a call away for any help I need. I highly recommend Alta peak.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Alta Peak. We're happy we could meet your expectations!
I have enjoyed my stay at Alta Peak and have decided to renew my lease. The apartment is located in central location with walking distance to grocery stores, shops, and public transit. The building is new and very energy efficient. The staffs have been helpful and friendly. There’s a gym on the first floor with treadmills and weights which I should probably take more advantage of. The only thing I should note is that there’s loud dumping truck sound around 3 AM that I assume coming from the construction site across the street which I understand is outside of Alta Peak’s control and it’s usually brief and hopefully will end soon after the construction’s completed. Overall, I highly recommend living here!

Friendly and responsive staff. The apartment building is well maintained and clean. So far I have nothing but great things to say about this place.

I have lived here ever since I first moved to Portland about three years ago and am so happy this is where I chose to live. The staff is super friendly and very responsive to any maintenance needs or other requests. The building itself is also in a great spot and I think is a good value for where it’s at. I would certainly recommend it

I renewed my lease! I like living here. I feel secured, my unit is quiet at night, staff members are nice and fast responsive! Also package systems are great (leasing office sign for you and I really appreciate that service) and there is a nice package locker room. The maintenance service is good and quick as well.

Hi Julie, thank you so much for your positive review! We're thrilled to hear that you feel secure and enjoy living here. Our team works hard to provide fast and responsive service, and we're glad you appreciate our package systems and maintenance service. We appreciate your feedback!
All of the staff members I have had the honor of coming into contact with has been welcoming and friendly. Especially the front desk Dora and Tiana, super enthusiastic, fun and full of joy, abundantly. Couldn’t have felt more welcomed.
My wife and I love our new place It has been great living at Alta Peak we just moved in. The units are beautiful. The leasing agents are super kind and helpful especially Lia and Dora. We would recommend staying at Alta Peak it’s wonderful!
I love living here! I just renewed my lease for another 13 months. All of the staff members I have come into contact with have been welcoming and friendly. I feel very comfortable and safe here and it’s always super clean. Also, the apartment’s gym is a lot nicer than some other places I’ve toured and has lots of options. Would recommend to any of my friends looking for a place to live in Portland.
I've lived here for about a year and a half, and I plan to stay for at least another year. My 1 bedroom apartment was in almost brand new condition when I moved in, and the finishes are modern and pretty high end. Plenty of large windows means I get so much natural light all day. I have had zero issues and haven't needed to submit any maintenance requests this whole time. In-unit laundry, new dishwasher, and a big bathroom really adds to the luxurious feeling here. I'm not sure if it's the case for every floor, but my apt has concrete walls and ceilings, so I never hear a peep from my neighbors. The building has great amenities like a well appointed gym, secure package room, and beautiful rooftop community room. The staff here are also so warm and welcoming and ready to help if you ever need anything! Do yourself a favor and at least take a tour! They will take good care of you -- moving in is a breeze. One thing to note is that the building is located in downtown Portland, near the stadium. Street parking can be rough on game days, and you will see folks from different strokes on the street. But I've never felt unsafe. There is a noticeable security presence, and the building's front door is restricted access.
I’ve lived at Alta Peak for almost a year and it’s been nothing short of amazing. The building is beautiful, the amenities are plentiful and the staff are divine. I plan on making Alta Peak a long-term home and all of that is thanks to the amazing leasing agent Dora. Dora is helpful, kind and compassionate. She’s always working hard and is able to answer any questions I have. 5 stars hands down.
I've enjoyed the 1+ year I've been living at Alta Peak. The building and the common areas are kept clean and the staff here are excellent. Dora and Tianna are friendly and accommodating, and recently helped me out a lot when I moved within the building to a different unit. For any maintenance requests, Gustavo resolves them usually within a day. Overall it's a great place to live and worth considering.
The building itself is 5/5 stars. While rent is more expensive than some of the older buildings in the area, the building is super energy-efficient, and amenities are great. Our apartment has remained a great temperature throughout the year, and our bathroom never even fogs up when we shower. We have had no issues with moisture or mold. The units are very quiet, and we have rarely heard our neighbors. After living in several apartments, I can confidently say that this building is on the quieter end of the spectrum, relative to what I’ve seen. The common areas, including the rooftop, lobby, and gym, are all kept very clean, with functioning amenities. The leasing and maintenance staff have all been very kind and responsive during our time living here. We have also rented out the guest suite ($125 per night, $300 refundable deposit) and reserved the rooftop area ($300 refundable deposit), and have had good experiences with both. Unfortunately, there have been some instances of cars being broken into in the parking garage and packages being stolen. I will note that the one time we had a package stolen, we alerted the leasing office, and they helped us with the situation by providing proof to the retailer that it had been stolen. We appreciated their responsiveness in this situation. Overall, these situations can happen in any building/neighborhood, and anecdotally, we have had fewer packages stolen than friends who live in buildings without locked package rooms (which Alta Peak has). The location is 3.5/5 stars for us. Goose Hollow is very conveniently located near a lot of transit, and is between downtown and the NW, alphabet, and Pearl districts, which we have found more fun to explore. However, Goose Hollow itself is largely residential. Burnside is also very loud, and not a fun street to walk on. Due to games at Providence Park, parking can often be difficult. Parking in the garage is $215 per month (pretty typical for this area), and when it is not a game day, we have had little to no difficulty finding spots just outside the apartment for friends (though they are metered). Overall, we love the building! If you want to live in Goose Hollow, this is a great place to be.
Staff is always professional and polite. They are quick to assist. The lobby is clean and styled. The leasing agents are invested in providing quality service and taking a personal interest.
They are compassionate and caring and give a great atmosphere for the residents. The ladies in the office are great to talk to and very pleasant. They are all always smiling and very helpful
The staff at Alta Peak are friendly, responsive, and most recently, have a good time at creating community events. The parking situation is something to consider: it’s a pretty steep monthly price, and there is always a waitlist. If you decided to park on the street, look out for meter maids and learn the Stadium games schedule (street parking is tripled on game days). The neighborhood outside the building is rough and the construction across the street hasn’t helped. Security around the area does the best they can, and they are very respectful of individuals. The amenities of the apartment are worth it. I appreciate the staff here!
I have been living here for over a year and I can say this is a wonderful building to live in - the leasing and maintenance staff are always available and helpful, and even complicated maintenance requests are most often addressed within a day. The apartments are beautiful and appointed to suit expensive taste. There is limited noise from neighbors getting through the walls and ceilings, definitely the best noise pollution prevention I’ve had in an apartment. Finally, the common rooftop area is phenomenal for hosting get togethers. Overall, I highly recommend it!
The staff here are amazing! Tiana, Dora, and Gustavo are very welcoming and do their very best to make their residents feel appreciated and cared after. There is definitely a comforting vibe with this crew. It’s amazing to know people who work with passion and compassion.
The staff is very friendly and the building is tidy and secure, it’s great to deliver to!
Dora and the leasing team was fabulous, informative and kind! Their knowledge of the building, community and units is incredible. You have to stop by and see the property in-person, the pictures do not do it justice!
Nice and clean apartment with a very helpful and responsive staff!
Dora was very nice and professional. The building is very clean and facilities are great
Dora was very welcoming and made me feel at home she gave a very detailed tour, the building was clean and the building was nicely in orderly fashion. With updated amenities.
The apartment is very nice, the staff is extremely nice and helpful
I passed Alta Peak countless times before finally scheduling a tour. Needless to say, I should’ve explored this community sooner. Every detail of the space is thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort. I was also struck by the quality of the amenities. Wow!
Nice building very clean and modern, helpful and informative tour from Dora.
Organized management, and everything is as advertised.
Cool building, great location, attentive & caring receptionists & staff!
Staff is great. I wouldn’t recommend due to: I have a toilet that doesn’t work, I’ve requested it be fixed 3 times and it continues to be reoccurring. Thin walls/ceilings. The building is brand new but doesn’t have central a/c Surrounding area is not the safest/cleanest.
I love it here! It's extremely conveniently placed and the staff are lovely. Crazy good value.
My partner and I lived there for 6 months while we were finding our house and the team was kind and professional. The finishes were condo quality, and I loved the views from the rooftop lounge.
The main reason to come to Alta Peak is the management and the building. The building treats you as a community member instead of a buyer of a product. They help as much as they can and they provide many benefits for such a wonderful building. If you are first coming to the city, I cannot recommend a better building.
This place charges way too much money for the quality of the rental. You pay $150/mo to park your car in a garage that has break-ins all the time. Packages get stolen from the mail room. The elevator has issues regularly. The staff are not on-site, so in an emergency situation no one is there to assist you immediately. They charge you to dispose of large items in the dumpster area. If the bike room door doesn’t respond to the fob, the staff doesn’t know how to resolve it. They are building a huge apartment behind the building that has loud construction and results in regular power outages and water shut offs. Traffic during Timbers or Thorns games is a nightmare. There’s always roadwork being done. Best advice: find another place to live.
Alta Peak has been such a welcoming place to live, especially moving from out of state. I had to sign a lease without visiting the city/apartment beforehand, but the staff helped make sure I was aware of everything and made the whole process so much less stressful than I anticipated it to be. Really happy to be here and to have found this apartment!
Overall, I have really enjoyed living at Alta Peak. The staff is very helpful and always able to answer my questions. The location is very nice, with lots of access to transportation and restaurants and other activities. Along with the general feeling of security being in our apartment is nice.
Alta Peak is an excellent quality community. If you work within up to a 15 minute walk of the building I think it is one of the best possible to choose from. The team here is excellent as well.
Hands down one of the best communities I've lived in. From the initial touring process to moving in, the Alta Peak team has been there through the entire process. Amy and Lia have been a pleasure to work with and will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable in your new home. Alta Peak is highly recommended for your new home!
There was a change in management and security. The security being on call seems to be less secure. There is more garbage and pet messes in the elevators, stair well, and halls, along with neighbors smoking socially when office staff is not present. Additionally the package room seems to be an issue with security and packages going missing or being opened. This was not the case as often when there was security that checked the halls and patrolled on site. Additionally the communications with the office are not as responsive. I am not sure if this is due to the new person getting up to date with the new role or if more is going on, but I have not had any responses to my communications for two weeks. I feel frustrated and bothersome to continue to reach out with my questions about leasing a second year, especially with the lack of security that was a selling point when I moved in.
I've really enjoyed my time here. The location is excellent, the building is clean, and the staff is always friendly
A nice new quaint building nestled next to Pearl district and providence park. Happy healthy community of wealthy successful people. Good views and parking. Our kids prefer this apartment over our country home. Close to everything they love in Portland. Free coffee in the lobby only five min walk to grocery store. Easy living.
I love my home at Alta Peak! The management team is kind and helpful and the location is perfect. The building is quiet, well maintained, and conveniently located near the best of what Portland has to offer.
Alta Peak has an amazing management team who puts you as a priority! They know all of the residents by first name which is very impressive! I highly recommend living here.
Poor Construction and Nothing But Issues: I'm situated directly above the parking garage and every night I am woken up by it's chime, the elevator ding, as well as my neighbors alarm clock. The walls may as well be computer paper. The fridge non-stop rattles and maintenance was slow and improper in their response. Additionally, the cabinetry has now started to open by itself and the bathtub drain is letting water through. There is an improperly installed light fixture where the ceiling hole was too big and instead of addressing they hurriedly just put the light in leaving about a half inch of exposure around the ceiling. The outlet on the cabinetry was installed crooked. Only two months in. Dreading whatever other mysteries this place holds. Alta is a joke.
The Alta Peak staff are amazing! They remember every residents name and also their pets name which make every interaction feel personalized. The maintenance staff are also very kind and hard working. We had one of our sliding doors that was broken and submitted a request in the evening. The following morning the repair person came and was professional, kind, and repaired the door very quickly.
Every aspect or concern has been addressed. Elizabeth is wonderful!
I enjoy the location, spacious layout, and quiet unit. It is perfect for teaching from home or coming back after a day in person. I hope as things open up that I can meet my neighbors. So far, one of my neighbors is smoking frequently which is very bothersome to me when going in the halls, but the smell has not filled my unit, so I think that speaks to the quality of the buildings insulation. I hope to live here for a long time.
Been here for 3 months and I'm super happy! Great atmosphere and the gym is super clean.
Thank you for the amazing customer service at Alta Peak - everyone was so welcoming. The property is maintained so well and is one of my main concerns when apartment shopping. I am so happy to be moving in soon!
Our experience at Alta Peak has been nothing short of amazing!
