Property Ratings at ALTITUDE BY VINTAGE
Read the other reviews about the management keeping the security deposit on various sites. They are taking our $400 deposit and charging an additional $170 on top of that. They are charging for 1/3 of the carpet replacement even though we only lived there 9.4 months (normal wear and tear of the carpet and we only lived there 1/5 of the total time since the carpet was installed and yet are being charged 1/3 of the price of replacement: $970 for replacement and we are being charged $350 for carpet installed in December of 2016). They tack on a $100 in house touch up and another $100 cleaning charge. I tried to get a hold of somebody multiple times but, not surprisingly, they just ignore you and sent demand letters. I have never had an apartment where I didn't get at least part of my deposit back and absolutely never had to pay more than my deposit. Very shady imo. Avoid this place at all costs.
Closet doors in both my room and the broom closet doors fell on me the first week after moving in. Dishwasher didn’t work and fridge leaked water immensely. It warped the floor and my room mate and I couldn’t stop it! Called management to get these things repaired and they said they’d put a work order in. Both my room and I called once a week to ask if they were coming. Eventually, I found out that someone had been putting our work orders as completed and we had to continue filing complaints. It took over six months, and for us to say we weren’t going to pay rent until these things were fixed, to get our fridge repaired and replaced. Upon removing and replacing the dishwasher, the maintenance men accidentally pulled up the vinyl flooring and left it that way - despite our complaints to the management. Many things were broken upon moving in - chipped counters, stained carpet, cracked railings on our porch, dents in walls, etc. Management does not care for their residents and will find a way to get your complaints through without having them actually solved. Poor care of the land around here. Trash is often seen in the roads and leaves are everywhere. As much as I love the area, as I grew up right up the street, this apartment complex is the most heinous place. They don’t care about you or your family!
Management is horrible. Parking is horrible. Trash all over. Maintenance never comes through. Cant wait to get out of here.
New management arrived in August. Outside is full of leaves and looking very sloppy. No attempt by mgmt. to do anything about it. Used to be able to pay rent online. FPI has had 3 months to get an online payment site going, and they still have not done so.
the apartments are old but they are maintained. they have garages which is great, I wish they had in home washer dryer hookups instead of a laundry mat area. they are doing a lot of improvements and making it nice. the school district is very good as well!
GOOD PLACE TO LIVE QUITE CLEAN NICE PEOPLE WELL LIT NICE PEOPLE RUN THE PLACE.
I absolutely love my little studio apartment. It is the perfect size for my little dog and I! There is always hot water! (Who doesn't love taking long hot showers?!) The swamp cooler is amazing during the summer, and the heater is perfect for the winter. If I've ever needed anything fixed, it has always been done right away. I can honestly say I haven't had many problems here. You get the occasional someone parking in your spot, which is annoying for me. But that doesn't happen too often. I happen to live next to one of the playground areas, and the kids are loud sometimes. Keep in mind, I am not a kid person. But it's nothing too obnoxious because for the most part the parents will get to those kids first if that was the case. If I had that much of an issue with it, I would just move into another area. I have a great neighbor next door who once found my wallet outside my car door. He picked it up and left a note on my car saying that he had found my wallet. He gave me his apartment number to retrieve it. At that time my drivers license had my old address on it, so it wasn't like he could knock on my door . It happened to be my neighbor and everything was in my wallet the way it was, he had it overnight. I was so thankful. I live on the second floor. The person above me and the person below me, well we all have very different schedules. We seem to all try to be very considerate of each other, or they are just very quiet. Either way, it's seems as if when I go to bed, the person above me is getting up and going to work. A little bit later is when the person below me gets ready, I rarely hear him ever. I get home the latest. Is it creepy I know this? Maybe.. But I've been in the same apartment for 3 years now. The lady above me has been there for longer. The person below me always seems to change. You get used to these other people and their schedules too. I love it. When you walk outside the grass is green and beautiful. Everything is well kept. It just has a great atmosphere to it. The staff is nice, and they try to be as helpful as they can. There is a pool and an exercise room, but I don't use either. The laundry room is all high tech and will only use debit/credit cards now. Anyway, to make this shorter.. I have had a great experience so far. this is the first time I've lived on my own, and I feel safe here. I can comfortably walk my dog at midnight or 1am and not worry about what or who is around me. I have nothing but good to say!
