The largest city in North Dakota, Fargo rests on the North Dakota-Minnesota border and the western banks of the Red River. However, Fargo residents affectionately refer to their location as “North of Normal.”
You might find that Fargo is a bit different when you stop by the Fargo-Moorhead Visitor Center and see the woodchipper from the movie Fargo. Maybe it’ll be when you start spotting members of the colorful herd of bison painted by various artists scattered all around town, and rightfully decide to go on a scavenger hunt to find them all. Perhaps you’ll find it unique that Wurst Bier Hall serves a rattlesnake rabbit bratwurst and indulge your curiosity. You’ll notice that North of Normal is a pretty interesting place to be.
There’s no shortage of things to do in Fargo. Plains Art Museum and Rourke Art Gallery and Museum offer residents and visitors endless opportunities to admire art with all kinds of rotating exhibits.

Property Ratings at Amber Pointe Apartments
The apartments are nice, and the location is great, but that's about it.The office staff are incompetent and repeatedly ask you for the same information - mind you that information is already available on their resident portal. Maintenance requests take over a month to complete - and that was before COVID. They do a poor job of snow removal, and when you bring up the fact that the sidewalks are completely iced over with no salt/gravel applied, they tell you to walk in the snow...which is covered with knee high snow. They do not monitor the parking lot like they claim, so if you are handicapped good luck being able to park in a handicap spot. There have been multiple occasions where someone was parked in front of my garage and the apartment office refused to to anything about it. PRG does not care about the safety of their tenants and uses a contractor that does not actually inspect or service the fire extinguishers. The one time the contractor did service the fire extinguishers, they took all of the extinguishers out of the building and did not leave replacements behind! (Thank god one of my neighbors works for a similar company and was nice enough to listen to my concerns, verify that that was not proper policy, and report it to the appropriate authority). 3 floors, 30 apartments in the building, and not one single fire extinguisher for over an 8 hour period. What would have happened if there had been a fire? There is a reason that they have so many open units - trust me, don't waste your time with these apartments or with this company.
Obnoxious neighbors, management is useless, and got charged for cleaning after I moved out even though the apartment was cleaner than when I moved in.
After two years of residence, it is easy to say that this building is extremely comfortable. Office staff is pleasant, with the only real downside being the parking. Like most of the large Fargo apartment groups, the planners had no vision when it comes to where people need to park. Summer is not so bad because you can park on the near by street and walk through the grounds, but in winter there is too much snow for that. There seems to be some logic in the design as third floor apartments have closer garages, and first floor has the furthest, but with all the garages off one side of the property it makes matters worse. Ultimately this is a minor gripe, and one all too likely to have at most Fargo apartments that do not utilize underground options.
