Property Ratings at Amber Ridge
I lived in Amber Ridge since 2018 and there were always issues. Overly packed parking, garbage overflow, pool is always under repair, closet sized gym space. When I finally moved out I asked multiple time to contact me when she does the walkthrough for the apartment so I can address them and avoid added charged. 2 months i waited for the walkthrough...They pushed the walk till the final day of my lease, and charged me for every minimal thing (that I could have easily addressed had she contacted me) This place is not worth the headache
The staff here is super friendly and accommodating. They normally always answer the phone and are genuinely happy to help with putting in work orders if needed. Because of this I decided to resign my lease with them this year.
I’ve lived here for almost A year and a half now and have to say they have the best maintenance crew. When maintenance is requested they come super quick. Sometimes even the same day or hour. José is very kind and respectful when working in our home.
Recently renewed my 2nd lease....apartment is slightly older, but comfortable, pest free and one of the safest I've felt since being in NC. Parking can be tight on wkends, but still, for the $$, you can't beat it. The office staff, Sherry and Christina, are the best...accommodating, great listeners, problem solvers and in my opinion, good people. The maintenance staff is just as accommodating!
I’ve only been here a couple days and I HATE IT. The floors are horrible, they creak & I can hear my upstairs neighbors every move. I’m sure the people below me can hear mine. The vents barely blow, the paint job is horribly done, parking is ridiculous and there’s only about 6 spots for visitors which stay occupied by residents.
The pros of this place is that it is relatively cheaper than other places and it is in a decent area, but the setbacks are really based on the quality of life you can tolerate. The walls and ceilings are extremely thin the neighbors can be loud and parking is awful especially if you work late. The AC is so loud you have to shout and and bottom floor apartments have flooding issues. There are giant rats running around the parking lot and on patios. If you don't mind these occasional issues then you will feel right at home here.
Horrible management. Hang-up the phone on your face if you complain. Horrible parking management. Sometime you may not find a place to park. Poor pest control. Cockroachs are everywhere. Floor makes noise. Unfriendly, rude, disgusting behavior from the management. Biggest mistake ever!
Noisy air conditioner: you need to shout loudly when talking, very hard to hear the TV when it is on. After a year you won't be the past person, you will become nervous and anxious due to the constant noise of AC in your apartment. Weak management for trash: Most of the time the area smells like a garbage. The maintenance are not trained to behave in polite manner. Very old equipment in the kitchen, very hard to clean.
Friendly staff. Super close to 3 shopping centers and the cheapest gas in town. No assigned parking, but I always find a decent spot no matter the hour. Pre-wired for AT&T and Spectrum internet.
I have lived here for a year with no issues with rental office, crime or neighbors. My experience has been a positive one you cannot beat the value for the money in this area. Karen M.
I have been living at Amber Ridge for one year now. For an apartment, it’s about anything you could ask for. I’ve never had a problem with maintenance or getting things fixed. When my front door wouldn’t close they immediately dispatched someone out to fix it. The apartments are spacious. Price is ok, although they did go up quite a bit once my lease was up for renewal, and the monthly fee for a pet is a little extreme in my opinion. But overall I like where I live and will continue to live here until I finish school.
I've been a part of the Amber Ridge community for over 7 years now. My home is near pretty much everything I need and I'm very comfortable here. Of course this place requires maintenance and renovations just like any other community over time. The way I see it, having been here for as long as I have, my good experiences and comfort outweigh any bad experiences. I've made this my home and I don't see myself moving as long as improvements continue and management matches the needs of the community. Over the years, management has changed a few times but each time I can honestly say the changes are for the best interest of the community. Although the buildings themselves aren't the newest on the block the AR maintenance crew does their best to find and fix any issues as quickly as possible. They also do their best to keep the convenience of the resident in mind when scheduling work to be done on, around, or inside the units. I've gotten to know most of the staff by name and I believe the current management team really cares about the improvement of the community. ************************* I'd recommend this community to: - college students seeking their first off campus living space - young parents looking for a kid friendly environment to raise their children - young couples moving into their first place together - and even older individuals or couples seeking a nice place to settle down and enjoy the city Greensboro My son's elementary school is within walking distance, restaurants and shopping are within a mile or two, the Science Center and Country Park are also less than 5 minutes away by car. Access to public transit is available for those who need it. There are also at least 3 places of worship within minutes of the AR community.
I love the location and the newly upgraded apartment we have. Is the best deal in town. The only problem is they seem to make a lot of mistakes but other than that it is a great place to live.
Property Manager at Amber Ridge, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your review. In response, we do sometimes make mistakes in the busy office environment. However, we do work as diligently as possible to resolve any errors that we make. Thank you for choosing Amber Ridge!
Ive noticed most of the times the only people who write reviews are the few who have had a poor experience. I have been at Amber Ridge for over 6 years now. Maintenance is better than ever. I called in a service complaint last week and it was fixed perfect the same day. I like that the utility is included in rent. Best deal I find every time I think about changing.
This building is located in a prime spot in Greensboro North Carolina, coming from Los Angeles I was worried about how far I would have to travel for groceries, shopping etc. It is nestled in a wooded area with beautiful trees and has a pool and work out room, very quiet here.
Our apartment here at Amber Ridge is my home. I feel as though its my sweet oasis from the hustle and bustle of Greensboro. Although located next to a buisy road, no noise is ever heard from cars and trucks passing. The apartments are FILLED with walk in closets, spacious floor plans, and newly updated kitchens and bathrooms. Its a small, quiet community filled with friendly neighbors by day and sweet bunnies racing thrugh the grass at night. When its time to step outside for fresh air, You step out to a spacious patio filled with relaxation. When its time for health and exercise, the gym and pool/grilling area is just a short walk from anywhere in the community of Amber Ridge. You can enjoy friendly staff who make you feel as if you are family with their humble, welcoming smiles along with southern hospitality. After all, you are in North Carolina.
