Property Ratings at Ambrose
I've been a resident for 5 years and have had a mostly positive experience. The entire Ambrose team is pleasant and puts a lot of effort into making the community feel like home. Since we are within walking distance of the entertainment areas it's important to be mindful of surroundings (as is the case with anywhere in the DFW area). Overall, I appreciate the convenience of the location and absolutely love the layout of my unit. I would recommend this to a young professional due to the access to nightlife.

Hey - what a lovely thing to say! We appreciate you so much.
I love it here, it’s very convenient and I love the area. However the only thing that I wish could change are the Air BNB’s. Some of the noise and traffic of non residents is frustrating at times.

Hey - what a lovely thing to say! We appreciate you so much.
The community is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The bathtubs and high ceiling are my favorite part. Also the washer and dryer that’s included. The kitchen in gorgeous, they clean the community every morning you can smell the cleaning products every morning! Well done Ambrose!

Hey - what a lovely thing to say! We appreciate you so much.
Half the building currently appears to be Airbnb. Construction noise is constant all week. The pool shut a month too early. The courtyard is pointless and should allow dogs.
Maintenance is always fast and efficient. They are the kindest staff!
Excellent staff all around, very helpful and quick to respond
I have enjoyed living at Ambrose. Quiet community and great ammenities!
I love it here! Office staff are nice and communicative. Maintenance is on point and kind. Location is great! My apartment is huge. I’m a happy resident.
I honestly love it here! The staff (especially Allie & Caleb) are genuinely wonderful people! Management is constantly making various improvements to improve the quality of life for residents, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Been living here for almost 2 years, and have no complaints!
This place is awesome! The staff is very friendly and accommodating to all:)
The staff is fantastic. Every single question I have they have answered. Maintenance has fixed the problems immediately. This is a great place to live
I enjoy the proximity of the downtown area, as well as the pricing.
I've lived at Ambrose for the last four years and the experience has only gotten better, mainly due to the property management. There have been regular updates to the gym, pool area, and garage. The staff has always been positive and helpful ever since there was a reset back in 2019. Shoutout to the maintenance staff as well - they are always quick to respond to inquires. The only negatives that exist at the property tend to be issues which pertain to most Dallas apartments which the management does there best to negate ; lack of guest parking, the occasional annoying tenant, downtown crime and noise that you would expect in the Deep Ellum area. If you're looking for a place in the vicinity though, I doubt you'd be able to find a better property to rent though.
I have lived at Ambrose for a little over a year now and have really enjoyed my time here. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the maintenance team is amazing. The location in deep ellum is close to so many restaurants, shops and bars which is so convenient. Now that I work from home I hardly ever have to drive my car anymore. The only downfall is if you live on the side of the DART station you can hear the train and some commotion sometimes…but that just comes with living in this area. I highly recommend Ambrose if you are looking for a nice, clean apartment with lots of walkable nightlife and restaurants!
The staff at Ambrose is very friendly and inviting. Most importantly, the property is located near all the bars and restaurants so it's very convenient. Choose Ambrose if you want to be in Deep Ellum!!
I took a tour of this apartment and was shown around by Jack. He could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process - he was extremely knowledgeable about the complex and took extra time out of his day to show us around and make sure all my questions were answered. I left with a great experience and great impression of Ambrose.
In the past 2 years I have only requested three maintenance calls which says a lot about the quality of appliances and fixtures here, and they were all taken care of promptly and efficiently. The new management and maintenance teams are first rate.
Biggest positive used to be that it had the cheapest rent in Deep Ellum. Unfortunately they are raising rent prices so much (went up 200+ a month for a studio this year) that it's no longer worth it to deal with the security and other issues. Security is on premises only rarely, outside doors are often broken so you randomly get locked out at night with sketchy people who hang out by the dart station, garage gates are left open alot of the time because they break and there have been a lot of car break-ins. I once found a homeless person sleeping in one of the stairways and when I called the office the woman told me it essentially wasn't her problem and to call the cops next time (I think she doesn't work there anymore but still). Appliances and hardware in the apartment looks nice at first but breaks alot because it's all cheap. Elevators are super slow and also break a lot. Getting in to the resident parking on weekends is a nightmare because there's public parking on the same very narrow street as the entrance and it gets blocked. Overall it's just not worth what they're charging anymore. It's a shame because it has a lot of potential and it could be really good if they just hired security and replaced broken stuff instead of just using bandaid solutions but I feel like they're just banking on the location to make up for all of the shortcomings instead.
Ive lived at Ambrose for ten years now and wouldnt consider living anywhere else in Deep Ellum.
I enjoy the well kept amenities as well as the accessibility of deep ellums community!
Great location if you like food and going out occasionally.
Ambrose staff has been so kind, welcoming, and helpful! The building is safe, well kept, amenities are great, location is very convenient, and Ive really enjoyed the ease of access to everything I could need! Highly recommend.
The leasing staff is very friendly and made my life so much easier staying at Ambrose. Choose Ambrose if youre looking for 5 star apartment complex!
location- close proximity to the city but terrible noise, so hard to sleep some days due to all the racket and music from deep ellum ( like when i say bad i mean BAD) management: nearly impossible to get a hold of for anything personal let alone the common areas, terrible maintenance for any of the common areas (printer has been out of ink for nearly 3 months, gym equipment old and broken and has not been fixed in about 6 months) price: decent when compared to other areas, probably the main reason im forgiving the rest and living here overall: dont think i would recommend unless you really want to be close to the schools/hospitals.
Alright, so I've lived here for 2 years. Great location. That's about it. Management is subpar, difficult to get ahold of during their stated business hours, does not return messages left on their answering machine, and is overall just disinterested in resident problems. Security is only for show. Electronic locks are half broken. The gated garage does nothing - I've personally had my truck broken into and hundreds of dollars of tools stolen. Management will also Nickle and Dime you for everything imaginable. Monthly trash fee even though trash shoots are consistently clogged. Monthly parking fee even though the lot is insecure and vehicles are consistently broken into. Monthly 'convenience fee' for paying rent online. Elevators and amenities are also consistently broken or not kept up with.
Lived at Ambrose for 10 years now. The living experience is excellent and their always upgrading the property to make it even better!
The Ambrose has wonderful floorpans, and has a great location. The price we pay for the apartment is wonderful. And we enjoy living right next to the Dart.
Its a good location, but with things shut down due to COVID it's not really worth the price
My lease is coming up in July and I'm stoked on moving here. My friends live here and I hear nothing, but great things. I've visited many times and the leasing people are always so courteous and helpful. Tiffany is awesome! I live in Deep Ellum currently, but my place is too small for what I'm paying and not nearly at close to all the places as here. I feel like the price/space and service is right on point. Can't wait!

I have been living here for a year now and it has been an awesome experience. The Ambrose staff is friendly and management is making improvements to the building regularly. All of the bars and restaurant in Deep Ellum are literally the next street over so I hardly ever use my vehicle anymore when I go out. If you want to live close to Dallas without paying crazy prices to live in uptown or downtown Deep Ellum is the place to be.

Honestly, the only good thing about this place is Jonathan, the leasing agent, BA doesn’t deserve him. I’ve considered writing this review for quite some time but naively kept opting to give them another chance. First and foremost NOTHING works. The gate breaks regularly, compromising security (my car has been broken into and I’ve come home to copious amounts of blood on my door step with no explanation) I’m almost certain the security cameras are broken (managers lied to my face and said I could view the tapes after the break in and then ignored every call and email to follow up) and maintenance takes forever to fix anything. My last work order regarding a sink and a light bulb took over 2 weeks to even get looked at. I once had to shower in another apartment for a whole weekend because they couldn’t “figure out” how to fix my water pressure. My water heater reeks every month or so because it has mold in it and instead of replacing it they just keep “flushing it”, similar to “fixing” the AC unit which still doesn’t work properly and leaks all over my wall. Essentially they only fix things well enough to appear cosmetically “fixed”. Secondly, management will straight up lie to you or ignore you if they don’t want to deal with you. I have asked for clarification on fees charged to my account and was blatantly ignored. The location is convenient to Elm St but only if you’re okay with overflowing trash containers, disgusting dumpsters and zero security from the homeless people everywhere. Avoid the sugar coated “cool Deep Ellum” vibe of this place, it is a facade. The moment the lease is up we are moving out as fast as we can.

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We will be sure to take a deeper look into what you have mentioned. We apologize for any inconvenience and would like to invite you to give us a call at (214) 573-2552 or stop by the office if you would like to discuss anything in further detail. Thank you. - The Team at Broadstone Ambrose
After 6 Amazon packages stolen, nothing fixed to stay fixed in a year, a crappy building that the staff or management OBVIOUSLY give a crap about, broken elevators and gates and an overall dirty living experience. They charge like they are some kind of luxury apartment, but they are clearly just taking their money and running as fast as they can. Deep Ellum is fun but I can live in a decent place and drive here. This building is NOT SAFE for girlfriends, children or wives alone.
First and foremost, the building is unsafe. There is zero security, so cars get broken into nightly and packages get stolen daily. Just a few months ago, a young woman was severely assaulted by two men behind the building. This is a very dangerous place. Without proper security, intruders are constantly roaming the building. Lately, the local homeless have been sleeping in the stairwells. The office has done absolutely nothing to solve this issue. They simply do not care. The incredibly unprofessional office staff (Eric and Frances) are incapable of helping, or even understanding their tenants. They lack basic customer service knowledge, and are clearly in the wrong profession. For the love of God, do not move into this complex. I love Deep Ellum, but I deeply regret moving into Broadstone Ambrose.
First off, I am a current resident at the Ambrose and have lived here for just under a year. It is very difficult to get out of your lease but I would if I could. All outside doors are controlled by a Key FOB. These have a tendency to malfunction which means that you can be locked out and either have to wait for someone to open from the other side or call your phone to let yourself in that way as the office closes around 5pm. As many do, I frequently walk my dog without grabbing my phone so I have been locked out with no way in on multiple occasions. Being right off the DART station in Deep Ellum, it is not a safe neighborhood to be locked out late at night. Recently, the city has been parking more cops in the park across the street but I have nonetheless seen a robbery, needles strewn about on the sidewalk, a news report about a rape in the park, and upwards of ten passed out crackheads around the building within the last year. Not necessarily the building's fault but something to consider before living here. I was once towed out of a non-reserved parking spot inside of the garage during building work and the building refused to reimburse me, or give me an explanation. The management has been rude and extremely unhelpful in all of these situations. The layout of the building makes no sense, there is much wasted space inside the apartments, very little storage, the elevators are extremely slow, I could go on and on but I cannot recommend that anyone live here. There are several new buildings in the area with better amenities, 24-hour management, better service and overall better quality of living than this.
