Clayton is a suburb about 30 minutes southeast of Raleigh. Though Clayton is small, it attracts renters from all walks of life with its rich culture and amenities. This small town brings in a lot of families with its good schools. Clayton residents are known for embracing an active, healthy lifestyle. There are multiple natural areas in and on the outskirts of Clayton, but locals absolutely love Sam's Branch Greenway for biking, hiking, and public art.
Clayton is also known for its appreciation of art and thrilling nightlife. The town hosts art and music festivals throughout the year. Go downtown to admire masterpieces at the Clayton Sculpture Trail or catch a show at the Clayton Center. Afterward, explore Main Street and other parts of downtown. With live bands, taverns, breweries, comedy shows, and more, Clayton’s downtown comes alive. During the holiday season, the area is even livelier.

Property Ratings at Amelia Station
The Positive: The maintenance manager is exceptional. He responds promptly, possesses extensive knowledge, and is always courteous. The Challenges: While the maintenance team puts forth great effort to maintain the property, it seems that some tenants are less concerned about its appearance. There have been instances of excessive litter left outside the compactor due to improper usage, which often results in the compactor being out of order on weekends. Additionally, there are frequent instances of pet waste on the grass and sidewalks, leading to an increase in flies. Some tenants allow their pets to roam without leashes, which poses safety concerns. The swimming pool has also faced frequent closures during the summer due to safety hazards, such as broken glass, and when open, it can be crowded with unsupervised children. The office staff's service has been disappointing compared to my previous renting experiences. Although they express a desire to foster a community atmosphere, their recommended response to various issues often includes contacting law enforcement. For example, if a neighbor fails to clean up after their pet, uses the trash compactor improperly, or has children unsupervised in the pool area, the suggestion is to call the police. Despite having a resource officer on-site, his ability to assist is limited due to jurisdiction. There is a frequent police presence due to the ongoing recommendations to involve them. The office sends multiple emails weekly regarding issues like trash collection and parking, but they often follow up with paper notices that clutter the community. Additionally, their policy for notifying tenants about entering apartments provides a broad timeframe during office hours, which can be inconvenient. Furthermore, while tenants are required to use Spectrum for internet services, it seems that options for promotional deals are limited since the billing is handled through the apartment complex. Cell service is limited in this area, necessitating Wi-Fi for calls, making it particularly challenging during power outages.

Amelia Station has beautiful landscaping and beautiful apartments! That’s why it was my preferred place to live in Clayton. However, my favorite thing about Amelia Station ended up being the staff. Every single one of them are fabulous! From the office staff to the maintenance guys, they’ve all been so helpful to me. I’ve had such a wonderful experience there, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to call home!
What an amazing experience we had here. The staff are the cream of the crop and we can not say enough wonderful things about Theresa, Nicole, and Jessica. All three will go out of their way to help and provide. Theresa is so professional, friendly, and class act. The maintenance is spot on and so friendly. The place is 15 minutes away from Raleigh and less than 30 mins from the airport. The location is 2 miles away from highway 40 and 1 mile away from a hospital with a full trauma center. They are always trying to find a way to better the community and the parking pass was a great idea that did not work as well. Some people will cry if they walk 10 steps instead of 5 to get to the apartment. The grills were not working because they are trying to come up with the safest and easiest way to make it convenient for all to use. There is not enough space to write about how much we loved this place and the the staff in the front desk. We really will greatly miss them but we had to move because of our kids schools situation and zoning otherwise, we would still be there and who knows, we might go back :). And by the way, the people complaining about the high rent, Hello, it is almost 1600 Sf and for less than $1200. That is a bargain for how wonderful this place is. Final note, get your own router from TW for less than $40.00 and you will have no issues with the internet.
I like it for the most part. Our house burnt down in May so we're just here until they can rebuild. The staff is really nice. I would love to be in my very own apartment for myself and not living with my parents, but I'll make light of the situation
This is the perfect building for someone who likes to be in a quite setting with little to no traffic noise. It has a nice pool and gym located near the interstate. The staff is very friendly generally having an apartment get together at the pool/clubhouse area once per month. They are only one year old and have a touch of country living but only ten minutes from Raleigh City Limits
I like it. My family and I moved here because our house burnt down 2 months ago. So far, I like it, but I would like my OWN apartment! It still beats not having anywhere to stay! :)
