Property Ratings at Americana Lakewood Apartments
Americana is the great place to rent and live. The location is amazing, and the staff is very personable. I just purchased a condo after living at Americana for the past seven or eight years, (can't remember) From the maintenance crew to management, I couldn't ask for a better rental situation. Less corporate, more tenant friendly, and the rent stayed fairly reasonable each year I renewed. I recommend them highly

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at our community. We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your time living here and found our team to be personable. We truly appreciate your recommendation and wish you all the best in your new condo! -The Americana Lakewood Apartments Team
Especially if you're looking for a short term lease. Seriously, just keep looking! They advertise short term leases but they will definitely screw you on them. We were quoted 2 different rates in the leasing office and then sent a lease with a different and much higher amount. Wish we'd walked away right then because the charges and fees never end
Property Manager at Americana Lakewood Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are deeply disappointed by this characterization of our community. Our policies are clearly outlined in our lease, and we hope you will reach out to us directly to discuss this in more detail. We appreciate your concerns and understand your frustration. We look forward to hearing from you.
After being repeatedly harrassed by another tenant and by extension the management, I've been forced to relocate to feel safe. I'm being charged a one month rent fee to "relot" my appartment even after many calls to management reporting harassment and lack of action.
We have lived at Americana Lakewood for just over a year. We chose this complex online based on the reviews and location and we have been very happy with our experience here. The management team is great. We have mostly worked with Jesse in the leasing office, and he has always been extremely helpful and friendly with any questions or issues we have had. Their online resident portal allows you to pay rent online, which is very convenient. You can also submit maintenance requests online, and they take care of it within a day. We live on the top floor, and have never had a problem hearing our neighbors. The grounds are kept clean and well maintained. They do allow pets and provide many "dog stations" with plastic bags and disposal bins. The pool and hot tub area are also kept very clean, and the hot tub is open year round! The location is great, with easy access to 6 and 70, as well as the Federal Center light rail/bus station. We moved here from VA and this is a great starting point because you are close to the mountains but also close to Denver. I highly recommend Americana Lakewood!
I've been here for four months now and I am really happy with my living arrangements. The buildings seem to be a little older, but I wouldn't say that they're bad by any means. One thing I legitimately do not like about my place is the white paint. It seems to "stick" to anything that is touching it. I don't want to leave anything leaning against it or resting on painted parts because white paint residue comes off on whatever is touching it. The apartment cooled well enough in the summer, so we'll see how warm it stays in the winter. Every staff member I have met have been very nice and helpful. They made moving from 600 miles away easy. The neighborhood is usually quiet and it seems to be safe. I run at night all the time and I don't give safety a second thought. The grounds seem to be kept clean and well managed. Most residents pick up after their dogs, though I still wouldn't walk through the grass. My first maintenance issue was resolved within 24 hours of making a request. For what I'm paying ($900 a month minus utilities) I am really happy. I looked at other places in Lakewood and Golden for this price and they were really crummy compared to Americana Lakewood.
I have first lived here at Americana Lakewood since July of 2009 I started out in a 1 bedroom and upgraded to a 2 bedroom. I moved away and I have returned to the property and have a 2 bedroom. What can I say this apartment complex is awesome comfortable and quiet. The staff are totally awesome. The area of green mountain still has the feel of peacefulness. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a decent comfortable living!!
I'm so happy with my little apartment! Americana Apartments is a wonderful place to live. The management are great, they were extremely helpful when I was in the process of applying for the apartment, in choosing the apartment, and in answering any question I asked of them. I had few minor maintenance request when I first moved in (broken seal in window, caulking in sink dried up), and my requests were addressed within the week. The management is very good on communication, they always answer the phone, call back on the rare occasion they don't, and always follow up to make sure maintenance requests were adequately addressed. They manage to strike an excellent balance between making sure the complex is a good place for everyone to live while not being ridiculous about rules. The complex itself is very clean and quiet, and all the people I've encountered so far are friendly. There are several parks nearby and restaurants and a King Soopers within walking distance. There's a lovely community garden, and covered parking spaces for rent. The rent is the most affordable for an apartment of this quality in the Green Mountain area. My unit is one of the ones that hasn't been upgraded, which merely means slightly older fixtures and a few signs of wear and tear here and there, and cheaper rent! I could see it being a bit on the smaller side if there were two instead of one of me, but for me it's the perfect size. Highly recommend this place, very very satisfied!
My husband and I moved to Lakewood from Illinois in to the Lakewood Americana apartments! The staff is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, super friendly, and willing to help you with anything you need. We moved into our apartment sight unseen. And it is by far more than we could've ever asked for. It's in a great location, everyone's very friendly, it's safe, it's quiet and the apartments are in great shape! This is truly her new home and I'm glad we were blessed with such an amazing apartment complex to live in. We highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed!
Moderate and an average apartment for expensive rate.
I moved to the Americana Lakewood Apartments in November 2012. The complex is superb along with an excellent management staff. Here's a bit about the Americana: Welcome to Americana Lakewood, a community of 444 gorgeous apartment homes. Americana offers prospective residents a wide range of floor plans, amenities and majestic views. With eight contemporary floor plans to choose from, we’re sure you will find the perfect one or two bedroom apartment home that suits your needs. Whether you enjoy working out, swimming or relaxing in the hot tub, our recreational facilities are perfect for you. Come to the clubhouse and enjoy a nice cup of coffee while you browse the Internet on our free WiFi or chat with our friendly staff about upcoming monthly resident activities. With not one, but two playgrounds, Americana’s junior residents have plenty of opportunities to blow off steam and get much needed exercise. Make sure to ask about renting your very own urban gardening plot so that you can enjoy growing your own veggies or flowers. Take a hike on more than 70 miles of networked trails less than a mile away at Green Mountain or walk to the adjacent city park for a game of tennis or a picnic. Shopping and restaurants are right around the corner with both Colorado Mills and the Belmar Center within close proximity. 6th Avenue is only minutes away to whisk you to the mountains or downtown Denver for a weekend or just a day away. It's a great place to live and play! John Hagg Lakewood, CO via Green Mountain
These apartments were built a while ago, but they are well kept up. Put in a request for repairs and they might just be at your door in one hour. Great friendly staff and very helpful.
I've lived here for over 4 years with no issues. Fast maintenance repairs and support friendly staff.
Wonderful place in lakewood, co. Apartments are well maintained and the staff are both incredibley helpful and all-around nice people who seem to really care about the tenants. They have a well-maintained community garden and gym. The location allows for easy access to local grocery stores, public transportation and hiking trails making it easy to get your errands done and have fun in the foothills without having to drive too much.
From any apartment in this complex, it's impossible to not appreciate the lush green lawns and fabulous colors in the many flowerbeds and gardens spread all through this property. If you're a nature lover, early mornings and evenings are a great time to spot wild rabbits, young deer, and late at night you might hear the howl of a distant coyote. Wild birds, owls, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, I've heard and seen them all from my patio. Add this to the great location, close to everything but so private you don't hear the street noise from Union. Extremely private apartments, you won't see or hear your neighbors, unless you seek them out on the jogging/running/dog path, down by the beautiful pool, or in the fitness room (with wifi!). The leasing office staff are welcoming and helpful, the maintenance crew way above par, professional and FAST. My apartment is my personal refuge and retreat, in the middle of busy, busy Lakewood. It always feels so great to be home!
I live in the foothills and the views are amazing. From my balcony I can see Green Mountain to my right and Denver if I look to the left. The people are friendly and the staff are excellent. Plenty of room at the pool and a year round hot tub is the best. All in all its a pretty great place to live.
A wonderful place that loves animals as much as their owners do. Considerate of the different needs of their residents and quick to help out whenever possible. It also helps that the view is incredible and the Jacuzzi is open all year round.
The staff is what makes this place great. The pool, fitness center, view of Denver, well-kept grounds, Lightrail access, and proximity to the mountains are all great, but its the people that make Americana apartments feel like a home.
We moved into Americana at the beginning of 2015. We chose Americana sight-unseen with the help of online reviews and virtual tours, and due to the fact that they had shorter leases and reasonable rents. We were fine there until mid-March, when my boyfriend's bike was stolen. We had been storing it in our apartment but then he decided to lock it to the bike racks that are hidden in the garages. We had seen dozens of bikes stored there and never heard of any problems. Well, literally the first night it was down there, it was stolen. The lock was pro-quality but someone decided to use heavy tools and steal it. When we called the office to report a theft (because you'd think they care about that kind of thing), they told us "that's why we require renter's insurance" and also "yes, bike thefts are more common right now because of spring breaks." No sympathy at all. ** My real issue is this: if they know there is a rise in petty theft during certain times, why not send out an email to all residents to give them a heads up? ** The next incident came in late April. I took my dog for a walk and returned to a broken rear window on my car. The cause: the riding lawnmower threw a rock through the window. The driver had to have known he did it - he was literally 10 feet away when I passed him on the way out. I called the office and they sent over an unhelpful maintenance guy, who then tracked down the lawnmower driver. The only way I figured out what had happened was that I had overheard the contractor instructing his employees a few weeks before. The units themselves are old and need updating. They replace carpets and repaint, of course, but the hallways and stairwells are in terrible shape. There were several small wasps nests in the stairwells, plus the drywall was leaking and bubbling during heavy rain. Paint peeling and chipping on the outside everywhere. We did not enjoy our time at Americana, and broke our already short lease when we purchased our first home. It took them a full 60 days to send our final paperwork. Overall, if you are on a tight budget and are used to lower-quality apartments, you will be fine here. They don't seem to care about the residents very much. I will also mention that we paid rent early every month, often held doors open for other residents, and pushed stuck cars out of the snow. Americana needs a fresh coat of paint, a little more safety/theft focus, and a lot more help with their customer service.
This is a close to perfect apartment community if you want to move to the metro area from Denver close to shopping malls and restaurants and outdoor space the staff is incredibly helpful. During summer the pool is open and available is a outdoor hot tub with lounge chairs and BBQ and equipment for people like to exercise come and take a chance on moving to this community and find out yourself
This is a well taken care of place that shows they care. Have had nothing but great experiences with the staff. Love the playground for my kids too.
The Americana Apartments in Lakewood are the best. Seriously. The staff is friendly, and easy to work with. The amenities are pretty great. I adore the year round hot tub. The fitness center though small- has just about everything you could need to get every part of your body. The view from my balcony has a perfect angle for the Denver Skyline. Minutes away from hiking trails, parks as well as shopping/entertainment venues. One of the most accessible places I've ever lived.
These apartments are within walking distance to the supermarket and minutes to the light rail or hiking trail. The management staff at the Americana Lakewood is great. They truly care about the tenants and are very friendly and helpful. The views of Denver and the Green Mountains are spectacular. There is a nice swimming pool and community garden. However, the building and grounds are dated and show signs of wear -- could use some renovation and better up keep.
Americana is great if you are rich and get huge annual raises so that you can afford the rent and the increases in rent when it comes to renewing your lease. Great location & amenities. Nice & responsive staff. Great area for dog owners. Amazing view. fyi: All the apartments in the area are being greedy about their prices. Shame on them all.
I have lived in my apartment for 12 years I believe (I lost count) the view of the city of Denver is breathtaking... I have years of memories from rainbows to thunderhead clouds that are massive...and beautiful.... There's no other Apartment that can compare to the view that I behold daily.
I just Love my apartment its been so nice living here the view off my balconie is so wonderful u can see for miles that is that u can see just about all of Denver. And is amazing how beautiful it is at night with all of the lights. And during the forth of July u can see the fire works every were. I have lived here for about 3 years
The apartment complex itself is beautiful and very well kept up. The amenities are great and if there is ever anything we need or anything that needs fixed the maintence team is on top of it! Every one is so friendly and its a great community to live in.
At Americana Lakewood, they are very kind. They answer calls promptly and get maintenance to your apartment to fix everything from clean air filters to wasps nest. The apartments are quiet, with minimum police interference.
I love Americana Lakewood I've never had a issue since I've lived here.very quiet community.Great mantince here anytime I've ever had a issue they have been on top of it.
Americana Lakewood is a nice 15ish building complex just west of Denver. Close to lightrail, in a business district, lots of dog owners, lots of quiet smokers. Pool closes at 10pm. The office/maintenance staff has always been EXCELLENT with helping me. Buildings are a little dated. Overall upkeep is good; not outstanding.
At Americana Lakewood, they are very kind. They answer calls promptly and get maintenance to your apartment to fix everything from clean air filters to wasps nest. The apartments are quiet, with minimum police interference.
I have lived at these apartments for 3 years the maintenance staff fixes things right away. The office staff is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is beautiful one side you see mountains the other side you see downtown Denver. I feel safe at these apartments and my neighbors are nice too and quiet.
In the beautiful outskirts of the big city, in the foothills of the mountains of Colorado. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, and schools. The club house with adjoining pool and hot tub. Beautiful lawns and flower gardens, also a spot for residents to enjoy gardening. The staff treats you as family. Each apartment has laundry facilities or fireplaces. There are units where people with disabilities have no problems. Family units as well. Pets are allowed. Sidewalks join the community of 16 buildings on beautiful rolling hills over looking the big city with fresh air, unlike city traffic smells and fumes.
Great location with easy access to several Major Highways, Restaurants, Movies, shopping and more. Close to hiking trails and walking paths. Great pool with a view of the entire city of Denver. You don't have to leave home to watch the Fire Works. This is the place with the feel of the Mountains without the drive.
We just renewed our lease, we really like living at Americana. It's quiet and a decent price considering how high rent is in Denver currently. I love the office staff! They are super cool. Overall, we have no complaints:)
As a first apartment, I really am very happy with Americana. The staff in the leasing office are great and helped me through the entire process. They're extremely friendly as well, unlike other leasing officers I encountered in my search. Everything is very clean and my apartment was move in ready a week before my expected date, I even had new carpet. The maintaince crew is amazing and I have never waited more than a few hours for them to respond to whatever problem I have. They do a great job of keeping everything nice and well kept. The ONLY problem I have had is the thin walls in my building. Sorry neighbor, you're a great shower singer, but it makes bathroom time a little awkward.
These apartments have an amazing view of denver on one side and the foothills on the other. Everyone who works in the office is incredibly nice and all of my neighbors are too. This is my first apartment and I was nervous to move out of my parents house but these apartments are perfect.
When I needed a place to live, I only had three things I wanted. First: Most important, they must allow my awesome cat - non-negotiable Second: Fit my budget,- little wiggle room Third: A washer and Dryer in the apartment - I'm not that sociable, but willing to compromise Putting these into the apartment.com search, I got limited options. Apparently awesome cats aren't welcome everywhere, but thats when I saw the Americana Lakewood. The pictures were nice, it wasn't too far away and were welcoming of my awesome cat. After the tour of their Demo apartment I was instantly ready to sign. The place was just perfect for a single guy and his awesome cat. A very quiet complex, amazing maintenance staff that fixes a problem with in 24 hrs even on the weekend. They offer a free carpet cleaning if you have been in the place over a year, very reasonable prices After staying here for over 3 years I have yet to find anywhere that can beat this place or even come close. Plus the view from the outdoor hot tub is amazing, on the 4th of July you can soak in the hot tub and watch over 20 city firework displays, while eating a hot dog that you just grilled.
I LOVE living at americana. When i most recently found myself in a position where i needed a new home the Americana Lakewood complex was my first and final choice!!! Affordable, dependable, and nice apartments!! I have a view that every single person I know has commented on and loves, I have a newly redone apartment that is spacious enough for two people but could definitely accommodate three. The fixtures, lighting, and appliances are all up to date and perfect for a first time renter. It is a hop, skip and a jump away from the Union walk, with tens of restaurants, a half mile from union center station and a half mile away from some of the most beautiful hiking trails on green mountain. The neighborhood is safe and very friendly. People aren't pushing and in your space but if you need a hand there is always someone to help. The green space on the complex property is nice everywhere, perfect for picnics or just hanging out. The office staff iss amazing!!! Lindsay and Jesse are my favorites!! ANytime you have an issue it is resolved in a fast efficient manner!
Well this was my first apartment on my own so I was not sure what to expect. I felt that the people that work there were so helpul it made me feel at home. They were there when I called at anytime, also a very secure feeling. Now these are quite old but they work constantly to keep them in best shape possible. The best part is the people I meet there are so nice!
The apartments are a good size, but I think the best part is the staff and maintenance. Everyone I've spoken to has been friendly and helpful. If we have a problem with our apartment it gets taken care of extremely fast. It's fantastic!
A large well designed complex with multiple buildings that blend into the natural environment of the beautiful Green Mountain backdrop. Perfect view of downtown Denver from the meticulously maintained clubhouse swimming pool and hot tub. Easy access to public transportation, shopping, restaurants, hospitals and outdoor recreation. Just minutes from Bear Creek Lake Park, Red Rocks Amphitheater, lookout mountain and Coors Brewery. A great place for hikers and cyclists, pet owners and for people that want to be close enough to the city to be there in a few minutes but like peace and nature without the maintenance of a mountain home. The synergy created by management and the excellent maintenance staff is shared with the tenants and creates an environment of pride and camaraderie that motivates everyone to co-create the best possible living environment. Easy access to Highway 6, C-470 and I-70 for times when you would like to head further into the mountains for world class skiing or mountain biking or just down the road to the casinos at Black Hawk and Central City. For times when you want to be an indoors-y couch potato-y type you might enjoy the options of high speed internet, Wifi, and television. There are 2 Starbucks within a ten minute walk. If you have little ones there are playgrounds on site as well as a nice city park that adjoins the property. If you happen to be a dog you are gonna love this place. Lots of posts with pet waste bag dispensers. Every where you go your human will need to pick up after you - it is a rule and the right thing to do. It may be upsetting at first to see your territorial monuments removed before any one got to see them, but you will get accustomed to it. The great hikes your going to go on will more than make up for it!
I have lived in the Americanas for almost three years. It is located in a very nice neighborhood, clean apartments and friendly leasing office staff. Great pool and hot tubs and work out centers. The only complaint i have is the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors more than you want to. I would recommend these apartments to friends.
My roommate and I have lived in Americana Lakewood for a year now and have loved it. We have a great amount of space for the price, I almost never hear our neighbors, the grounds are well kept, and the location is great. We're 5 minutes from tons of restaurants and other necessities. The staff is also incredible. Everyone is very helpful, understanding, and patient. They really make an effort to make their residents happy and comfortable. Management is definitely on their game, if they notice any room for improvement they take it, whether it involves reminding people to pick up after themselves or upgrading buildings. We've had three maintenance problems while here, and they were resolved within 48 hours or less. My only problems are with the dishwashers and washing machines. I've had to hand wash most of my clothes and dishes because these appliances don't seem to get the job done. Needless to say though, we can absolutely comfortable call this home.
I love the apparent I live in. In the office the people are kind and always seem genuinely interested in how your day is going. There is a nice pool and hot tube that helps unwind when you have had a really long day. It's small and cozy and comfortable and not to mention affordable! There help with maintenance when you need it and nice walking are to take your pets out! It's an awesome place to live if your a student because red ricks community college is I lit 10 minutes away! Awesome play to live and awesome neighborhood!
3 years ago, my boyfriend and I decided to start our lives together by renting out first apartment together, our first home. We had visited plenty of apartments that were either too small, too expensive, didn't except pets, or didn't have a friendly staff. And then we found Americana Lakewood. From the very start, our leasing agent made our experience WONDERFUL!! Never once did Jesse get annoyed with my flood of questions and was always so patient with us! We were fortunate enough to be placed in an apartment quickly that we have fallen in love with! We constantly get so many compliments about our apartment as well as the grounds. Every Monday tithe grounds are maintained and look beautiful! We live across from a park and live in a beautiful area of Green Mountain. On top of that, any time we've had an issue with something breaking in our apartment, maintenance has been incredibly fast to fix it! With no hesitation! Not to mention, after losing my job a few months ago, Jesse has been going above and beyond by letting me know of any leasing agent positions that open up with the company. We are so blessed to live in such an amazing place with wonderful people. That's why after 3 years we are still here!
The staff is amazing!!!! Nice pool area, very clean grounds, safe neighborhood, small gym, tons of parking, and great views. I have to move for work and I will be sad to leave.
