My Finance and I got into a pickle with a last complex, as they tried to increase the rent on day of move-in which would save us no money. Luckily I found this place and got into contact with Cody who was very helpful, empathetic, and even gave us a discount on the money due at move-in which was very helpful. The maintenance staff also was very helpful and fast. They fixed the minor issues the next day of putting in the work order. So far I am impressed with the service from staff and maintenance and look forward to living out the rest of my lease.

Comparing Amira at Westly to other complexes in the area, there are so many things to love! It’s affordable, all amenities work as they should at all times, maintenance is speedy, and the customer service is above and beyond. Not to mention the location! Just outside of all the main attractions Tampa has to offer.

I just moved in and already love it! The grounds are beautiful and my apartment layout has so many opportunities to decorate how I want. The move in process was smooth and easy with the office staff! I love living at the Amira Apartments, it nurtures a community of fun and activity. I have made so many friends by attending some of the free weekly social events at the community clubhouse including Art classes every wednesday and monthly events for my family. Its so fun! the pool is great! and the neighbors are super friendly. Its also pet friendly and the dog park and dog wash is convenient.

I've lived at Amira for a little over a year and a half and have enjoyed it. The location is convenient being close to the airport and plenty of other stores and restaurants. I recently had to move from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom here and everyone was super helpful, especially Pamela and Brianna. Also, maintenance is always very quick (less than a day or 2) which is nice. Overall I would recommend Amira!

I absolutely love living at Amira. Coming from out of town, I didn't know the area too well. Thankfully I found this place. Brianna and Peter are extremely friendly and helpful. Its pretty central to the beach, nightlife, downtown, etc. The community itself is wonderful - the pool is beautiful and the gym has everything I need.

I loved living here!!! Such a beautiful apartment for a mid 20 year old working professional. I lived here for over 2 years and the only complaint I really had was one noise complaint from a neighbor with a dog but that was resolved quickly. Maintenance do a great job and the whole Amira staff are great :)

It’s in a great spot close to the airport with plenty of places to shop nearby. It’s in the middle of everything but still feels tucked away. The gym is open 24/7 which is amazing because I usually go early in the morning. Most importantly, Brianna, Sandro, Kiana, Sara and everyone in the office have been really great to work with. I’m looking forward to another year here!

Amira at Westly is beyond one of the best complex I have ever lived in, especially since I am a very picky person. Amira At Westly checks off all the wants boxes in my book. We call it the Smurf village lol. When we first moved in we wasn’t expecting the complex to be so big, but once we had our move in day, it was like entering a small town village. The palm trees the way the complex is set up is so nice. They have great amenities, I mean the gym! Every time i have a guest over they complement how big and spacious the gym is. The coffee machine they have in the front office has my heart. Its like having a mini Starbucks cafe. The location is right near everything… literally! I can only thank all the front staff for for their kindness and always providing the best for me and the other residence. Brianna is such a wonderful well spirit person, and very understandable. There is this one gentleman who works front staff, I wish i knew his name. Every time I enter the building to use the printer he always has this great positive energy that makes you just automatically want to be best friends with. Sara was also so caring when i had an incident occur. They were quick to fix the issue and make sure i was comfortable at all times. Im glad to say I will be making more memories with the staff at Amira?? Heres to another year at Amira at Westly ??

We wanted to get out of the downtown area and get a bigger place for a better price. This community turned out to be the perfect fit for us. I work in St. Pete and my boyfriend works in downtown Tampa, so the location is a great middle ground for us. The proximity to 275 makes it easy to get anywhere we want. The community itself is great, we have no complaints. Sandro at the leasing office made the process very streamlined and easy for us.

love this place! sara,brianna,kiana, most excleance people ! need help on something always there to help. what can i say anymore. everytime i go to the office always smiling. so polite!! excleance maintainence crew. washer broke. jc was there to fix it.i think they should have a tip jar. if you gotta live in a apartment amira at wesley is the place. i would recommend it to anybody ! sara was the first one i seen when i filled out the applacation. she was so sweet. helpful. and had a answer the next day. 5 star property !!

I moved here from NY to Amira At Westly, Florida in November 2020. I just renewed my lease. I have all positive feedback from living in this beautiful community! From the management (Brianna), to the staff and the maintenance team, everyone has been so helpful and kind to my family and I. Coming from living my whole life in Queens/Brooklyn this was a great transition and I'm happy we are living here at Amira At Westly. It's quiet, the grounds are maintained and clean, the pool is clean and well kept, the clubhouse is really nice, and if you need something fixed the maintenance department responds the same day! Love Amira . Been here for 2 years in my 1 bedroom and eager to renew and move into the new 2 bedrooms . All the amenities are wonderful , every home has been upgraded from the kitchens , to the bathrooms and our cable and internet is mixed in with our rent making living more affordable . It’s a homey community and there on top of it . Any and every issue I deal with ( which is minor ) I stick with Brianna. She helped me when I first signed my lease and she’s still till this day my go too person. There’s really no complaints about this community . Maintenance is on top of all issues , and some of the complaints about the breezeways being dirty that all comes down to people not following the rules with valet trash. Only recommendation I will put out there is having our buildings breezeway pressure washed once every few months so everything looks great from the inside out ! I give this community a 10/10 . If you’re looking for a long term apartment home , definitely go to Brianna, she will give you the best recommendations and makes signing your lease easier not stressful . Xoxo- Michelle

It was nice living in Amira , easy access to everything in Tampa area. It's neatly maintained community and staffs are amazing. Great neighborhood. I've lived at Amira at Westly (Formerly Westly Shores) for a while now, about 2 years. While everyone has their own perception of heaven, Amira at Westly is my idea of peaceful living. Located right in the heart of Tampa, right next to Tampa International, and close to the Veterans Expressway, restaurants, and beaches you can't beat the location. The staff is incredible at managing everything on time and makes living here a breeze, plus they always host fun events for the residents. Brianna is especially spectacular and is so quick to respond to all of my inquiries. They just renovated all of the apartments with modern amenities and the apartments and the grounds are so beautiful, I'm always so proud to show it off to friends and family! The maintenance is the quickest around so I never have any issues with anything staying clogged. This may sound like a paid review, but I can assure you it's not. You just can't find this kind of living in crowded Tampa Bay anymore. Living here is truly a dream and I couldn't be happier!

I just moved to Tampa, FL from Phoenix, AZ 2 months ago and I love the sense of community you get here. Brianna and Sefrey are the friendliest leasing agents I’ve ever met and they make my twin sister and I feel very welcoming living in a new place. The maintenance guys are super nice as well and if you have any problems, they are quick to fix it! I’d recommend touring this apartment and giving it a chance!

The apartments are old. The maintenance are poor. The new management don't care about the tenants. You can smell the humidity in the apartments. The walls in the bedrooms have leaks. So I don't recommend live here.

This apt complex is a massive disappointment. It was bought out, so they raised base fees on all residents. However, the same problems that were with the old company still reside with this new one, it's just more expensive to have these same issues. Flea's have been a problem here because of the ducks since January, at least. If it wasn't for the distress this place has put my animals through, I honestly wouldn't complain online. My dogs suffer not only from the fleas, but whatever theyre spraying to help the fleas has effected their health too, and doesn't get rid of the fleas to begin with. Maintenance are great guys, but don't always fix the actual problems, just put a "band aid on a open wound" so to speak. Lastly, the mice are still an issue outside, that was apparently fixed months ago. I knew what I signed up for with the last management here, you get what you pay for. However, with the new management "trying" to turn this place into 5 star luxury living, you're paying waaaaayyy too much for the same problems as before. I actually liked it better when it was "hood" a few years ago.

Pros: - super, friendly staff that actually seem to care about your issues (while you are still a resident there) - I would say the bedroom and bathroom were pretty spacious - location was good if you want to be in Tampa but still close enough to st. Pete Cons: - location: It’s located next to an airport and highway so you will hear loud cars and planes landing at all hours of the night - crime: while I was living there the gates were NEVER closed until the last week I was there (even though I’m pretty sure you pay for the gates). There were a lot of thefts and other crime occurring - no maintenance: doesn’t look like the keep up with the maintenance of the buildings. Filthy hallways and stairs that need to be power washed. Dog poop like other comments have said in the side walk squished because it’s been there for so long. - I didn’t have an updated apartment so the appliances were awful. Theres horrible linoleum tile that will come up when you try to open the dish washer (because it comes out of place) no matter how careful you are. - DO NOT EXPECT YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. even if you leave the apartment spotless. It’s really dishonest practice when apartments operate this way.. sad.

We moved in 3 months ago and it's been great. The while complex feels like a resort. The office staff are very friendly and accommodating as well! It's also conveniently located.

I always deal with Brianna at the front office and from day one when we originally went to look at the apartments she had us sold she is so amazing and is always so quick to get back to me. The complex is great and is always clean .... the maintence is AMAZING and get things done either the same day or next day at the latest. I wish all complexes were this great I’m so glad we chose Westly shores. I have ZERO complaints.

Pro: The apartment itself is really nice. I don't even live in an "updated" unit, but it is a great apartment. Cons: 1. When you read "luxury living" on the website, take it with a LARGE grain of salt. They have certain amenities advertised that are non existent (the bark park, volleyball courts, grills, etc). The gates into the complex are always broken and left open. The outside of the buildings are disgustingly dirty and trees are untrimmed and touching the sidewalk. And the "utilities" that are included are only trash and cable. I don't know where all these people who have left reviews saying "all utilities included" are living, but it certainly isn't here! 2. The pond smells like a sewer. I'm pretty sure the sprinkler system is connected to this pond, because even the sprinklers small like garbage. It will splash on your car and come through your vents. Though I guess it makes sense, because the grounds are always littered with trash. 3. I have had things stolen form my locked car and straight from my door step. 4. Yes, I knew living next the airport would be loud. What I was not told, was that i'd have to listen to jet engines literally every hour of every day. 5. This "perfect location" comes with a lot of traffic. People park where they shouldn't. You are surrounded by Hillsborough ave, which is literally one of the worst, most high traffic streets in Tampa, and Veterans expressway and 275. You can hear cars racing at all hours of the night and getting out of the complex in the morning is a chore. 6. The BIGGEST complaint is the unprofessionalism of the office staff. They refuse to acknowledge any problem you bring to them, no matter how small. I have had constant issues with paying rent since moving in. They will tell you to pay through the website, but IF there website is working that day, it refuses to process the transaction. If you give them a money order, even if you hand it directly to a person, it will "go missing". The amount of money I have given to this complex in just 6 months is probably enough to cover my 13 month lease.
Hailey is very helpful and try to understand the customers problem and also she is fair with everyone .Community is safe .But new leasing agent is not welcoming, though I am staying there for more than year she gets irritated if we ask questions. She should probably learn how to be fair with customers
The staff is somewhat friendly. The gates are always open which defeats the purpose of living in a gated community. The door locks were promised to be changed from electronic card lock to key locks when I moved in over a year ago to be changed in the first couple months of living there, I still have the electronic card locks going into my last month of my lease, even though I was made to stop by the front office to pick up my keys because they said they were going around changing locks. I've been locked out of my place multiple times having to wait on a guy that lives close to the air force base to come open my door bc once it shuts it's locked. Make sure if you decide to move in that you flea bomb your apartment due to previous pets living there (my place had fleas and when vacuumed a lot of pet hair still in the carpet). The guys have entered my apartment multiple times without notice, when I've politely asked if needed in my apartment to let me know seeing that I have a very large dog and not knowing how he'd respond to a stranger walking in without me being there. I've been stopped outside multiple times saying that they have gone in my place because of a request to fix something I did not send in a request to have fix and then comment on how beautiful my dog and friendly my dog was. Parking is horrible probably due to the gates being open and people leaving their cars there. My car has multiple new scratches on it due to kids riding their bicycle in and out of cars and throwing football in the parking lot instead of in the grass, which I understand because it seemed like I was the only one to ever pick up after my dog.

Definitely was impressed by the walk around and the show room. However, upon moving in everything started to change. Starting with the included electricity. Roughly 30 days after I moved I had to set up an account with TECO. Imagine my surprise when the main reason I chose this place was because everything was included. Next, I noticed that there was no parking at all!!! They spent three months making new parking but the only people parking in it are the tenants because all the visitors take the original spots. Why make 'compact' parking, but not visitor parking? Why do I have to circle the grounds at 9pm because all of the spots are taken? If you come after 9pm, good luck, cause you may have to park on the airport runway. Roaches moved in roughly a week after I did. And the receptionist said to me, 'It's Florida, there's nothing you can really do about them'... Well thanks for trying! The walls are so thin, they may as well be transparent pieces of paper. Ask my neighbor what she thinks off the walls, considering every time she walks across her floor, it's an earthquake on my ceiling. The mailboxes suck, the pool sucks, the weight room is spectacular and typically empty- That is until the neighborhood kids decide to make it the hangout after school. All in All, I was ready to move out within the first three months of living. Now I only have 2 months to go, and I am completely excited. May even go back to my old apartment complex. I thought I was upgrading... and all I did was upgrade my bills!

I lived at Mainsail for almost two years. I am not a fan of apartment living but it was the only option I had at the time. Mainsail staff was great, grounds were well maintained and I felt safe with a security guard at night and key card gate entry. Upon change of ownership I noticed some negative changes. I absolutely do not recommend this complex for the following reasons: Pollution and noise is really a problem (near airport and freeway and busy Hillsborough Ave.) If you are on the 1st or 2nd floor, you will hear every step your upstairs neighbors take as there is absolutely no soundproofing. No assigned parking so if you come home with lots of heavy bags, you may be walking quite a distance. Also, when there are events at the conference center (located in the complex but managed but a different company) parking is really bad and you could be up late listening to people partying outside in the parking area. Amazon package stolen Plants on my patio stolen They have a lame garbage p/up policy and you set your garbage outside your door in a small can they provide only on specific days and times so you are out of luck if you don't make it home on time. If I left my can out ofter it was emptied, other tenants would conveniently throw their trash in my can. I would see piles of overflow garbage especially if a pickup day was skipped due to a holiday. No play area for kids so they would be tossing balls and running around the parking area. No elevators. Wish I had something positive to say but I do not.
STAFF IS RUDE, NO SECURITY, TRASH EVERYWHERE. THE PLACE HAS GONE DOWNHILL UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. We have had problem with our neighbors and staff does nothing to help and they don't care especially that Jordan guy. I have had to call the cops several times on my neighbors because I thought they were coming through the roof!!! What was their reply call us when it happens, well that might have worked if it wasn't at all hours of the night!!! I emailed the manger for about two weeks before I even got that reply. Bottom line save your money and keep looking because this place is full of lying staff, horrible managers, filthy hallways!!!! I would have rated negative stars if I could!!!
Gates are now working so they are closed 24/7, with some occasional moment when they breaks down but they're fixed within 2 days. Gym is decent could be better but it has enough to get a good workout in and normally its pretty empty, so it beats LA fitness. Staff is not rude at all they're all very helpful I've never had an issue with anyone. The biggest cons would be that noise is pretty bad usually not from the residents(but we do have the few ones whole pull up at 12am with music blasting or engine revving) the biggest noise problem is that we're right off veterans and Hillsborough, so all the traffic noise at all hours of the day is horrible. it seems that most of the noise happens everyday after 9pm till 5am with motorcycles/race cars wannabes making all kinds of noise. overall the place is good and for the price you get its worth it, i have a 2x2 and have more then enough space in my apartment. Most residents stay to themselves and are pleasant when you walk by each other, if you want a super luxurious apartment this isn't the place for you. If you want a nice and affordable place to call home for a year or so, then this place can serve your needs.

IN 13 GALLON TUBS THAT THEY CHARGE 25 TO THE RESIDENT..TRASH REMOVAL IS IN MY PREVIOUS LEASE...THEY STACK THE TRASH BEHIND THE DUMPSTER...NO SECURITY OFFICER ,THEY FIRED HIM AND GATES ARE OPEN 24/7..HOOD RATS EVERYWHERE..THEY WANT TO BE A LUXURY APT....MY RENEWAL WAS SET @1550.00. I AM MOVING....DO NOT MOVE HERE..STAFF IS RUDE CAN T GET UR MAIL CUZ OFFICE IS CLOSED ..AND THEY STEAL UR PACKAGES ....GOOD LUCK GETTING A PARKING SPOT...NOT HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY ...I would rate a zero not given the option
moved here because it was a safe place for my children ,no more, gates open 24/7 and all kinds people entering and leaving, I plan to go when my contract ends this has changed a lot with the new management.
New management which includes the name change from Mainsail to Westly Shores is horrible! Neighbors are so loud and there are actual domestic disturbances with police and child abuse. Management couldn't care less. True that they never communicate changes and are so rude to residences. They could care less to take criticisms or complaints either. Security gates haven't worked in months. Trash is everywhere now too because of tiny 13 gallon cans they provide for whole families to use so hallways get filled with trash, especially since they don't pick up on weekends, gross! Plus, nasty neighbors keep throwing out furniture in the halls as if the hall is a dumpster! Also, bird and dog feces are everywhere. Restaurant doesn't exist anymore, and conference center has nothing to do with apartment complex. Can't wait to get out of this lease and move out! Do yourself a favor and dont enter one with this place.
We have lived here for about a year when the apartment complex was owned by Mainsail. It was recently taken over by ZRS and they have been the worst. This website lists things that they do not have. They do not inform us of any changes. They didn't even tell us the name was changing! They shut down the business center, took out the atm, and closed the restaurant. The 360 degree picture showing the bar and grill is blatant false advertising. The Bar and Grill was shut down over a month ago when they took over and no longer operates. The nice Conference Center is used for outside events and not relevant to residents. They just used the pictures because it is nicer than the actual apartments. The community is also no longer gated with patrols. The gates are still there but they do not work. My car was broken into and the response from management was oh ok. They didn't even apologize about it! Management also told us that they don't know any plans for the place and our rent will go up and if we don't like it then we should move! And we will! They told us they would fix the gates 2 weeks ago..and nothing..no response when asked either. We asked for a lease to look over if we wanted to re-sign and have been waiting 2 weeks and still nothing! On the site they list $1250 for a 2 bedroom. We pay more than that and as a "special renewal deal" they told us they wouldn't raise rent and would keep it the same. That is ripping us off because now they lowered the rent! I repeat DO NOT LIVE HERE. We are thankfully at end of lease and can move. We enjoyed it when operated by Mainsail, now it is terrible! I want to save anyone from the lies that they are trying to show on this website and others. It is FALSE ADVERTISING to say you have amenities that you do not. We have informed them multiple times about it, even talking to Corporate and it is still blatantly false.
If you’re looking for a nice place to live where you can feel welcome, at home and trust that the people in charge have your best interest in mind---go somewhere else. I have lived in this complex for a year and loved the previous management. The new management is just pathetic. After meeting with the manager to discuss resigning my lease she told me she would email me a copy of it to look over before signing it. After two weeks of emailing the manager multiple times with no response and another attempt to meet her in person I’ve realized what I should have known all along: they don’t care about their tenants. The new management has removed all the amenities that made the complex appealing in the first place. Now there is no longer a restaurant, it is not a patrolled gated community (I wouldn't even call it gated as the gates are open 24/7 & there have been multiple car break ins/safety issues), the lobby is no longer 24 hours (its hours are mostly business hours so good luck getting your mail unless you are home between the hours of 9-6), the pool is mediocre at best, and the staff/management are rude and could care less if you're happy with the property/living conditions. They have actually told people NOT to re-sign their lease and if they’re not happy then they should leave! I can’t express how much happier I was when the previous management was in charge. My sympathies go out to those who just signed their lease…
