Property Ratings at AMLI Marina Del Rey
I’ve lived at AMLI for 2+ years on the first floor of building six. Pros: The location is convenient, the amenities are good, they do some fun events and I’ve found the management responsive. Con: The floors between units are VERY thin which makes it loud for even the lightest of people living above you. If you’re trying to sleep it’s infuriating, otherwise it’s just a nuisance. I’ve heard this same complaint from other residents not on the top floor and I’ve have had multiple different tenants live above me. I decided to move out because the noise from the unit above me makes it impossible to sleep which outweighs all the positives of the complex.

After a little over a year here at AMLI, I want to share my experience solely for prospective tenants. The marina is one of the best places to live in Los Angeles. If you're considering relocating here: do it. Your quality of life will increase drastically. However, think twice about this building. It is not at all what it appears to be. From the outside, the property is aesthetically stunning. All the amenities appear refined, the location looks great in photos, & it’s super fun to have friends come over. The maintenance staff is also incredible (leasing office folks could definitely take a few pointers from them). That's truly where the list of pros ends. Construction of the units is awful (you will see this talked about in many reviews - it is a real problem). We were fortunate to live on a top floor unit, which in theory would eliminate the noise that travels between floors. However, we quickly realized we were living on top of folks with above average hearing, greatly bothered by music playing from computers and laptops. So bothered, they scaled the building one night and banged on my window with a broom (yes, scaled to a 5th floor window from a 4th floor balcony). Besides the extreme level of panic this caused me, a female home alone late at night, the response from management to “wear AirPods” instead of playing things out loud was…disappointing, to say the least. Additionally, there are MAJOR security issues in the building. We’ve had a bicycle taken apart in an attempt to remove it from a bike lock. I’ve been chased down my hallway by an intoxicated homeless person who was attempting to breach someones unit. Upon reporting this incident to management, their only response was, “Did you let this person in?” I’m sorry…what? When choosing a place to live, especially at this price range, security and communication are bottom line requirements. When you live in a city like Los Angeles, things will happen. It is the unfortunate truth. However, the complete disregard for the tenants of AMLI by management, beyond receiving rent payments, leaves you to fend for yourself in any type of uncomfortable situation. It is nothing more than an overpriced dorm for influencers...the pool is a Vegas party every weekend, condoms in the bathrooms, emergency vehicles on site at least once a week. If you’re looking for something more than that…look elsewhere.
Don't trust them. Seriously, this place is so disappointing. They recently just started taking away amenities. The clubhouse in our building, which we were told was ours to use and my husband and I really enjoyed hanging out in, was now just... taken away. You have to rent it for $700 a day. They just put a poster on the front door saying it's no longer for everyone's use. Such a cheap and crappy way to try to make money off the people who are ALREADY your renters.
While AMLI appears beautiful from the outside, once you move in, you will soon discover how poorly managed AMLI Marina del Rey is. AMLI stands for Apathetic Management Lives Inside. Dealing with AMLI Marina del Rey Management is the most frustrating experience you will ever have living in a self-proclaimed "luxury building." AMLI Management refuses to enforce any of its own community rules to keep you safe and to guarantee the quiet enjoyment of your apartment, and that's if they even respond to you at all. It's no wonder Omicron is currently spreading through the AMLI community like lice through a college dorm. In conclusion, you will soon realize what a nightmare it is to live in a culture of non-compliance and a total lack of consideration for fellow neighbors that AMLI Management has cultivated with its unwillingness to lift even a finger to enforce its own rules. My advice is to STAY AWAY!

AMLI is awesome! So stoked my friends and I chose to live here. Were young filmmakers who were looking for a peaceful and community driven place to live. We got that and then some! The amount of amenities they offer is unreal! Leo and the leasing staff are so friendly and always quick to help with anything we need. I take all of my video-call meetings and in person meetings here at the AMLI. I never want to leave! Haha
Our whole move-in process flowed super well! Leo always had an answer for our questions, and we never had to ask anything twice. The amenities blew us away, and we could not be more impressed! The cleanliness of the apartment was top notch, and move-in ready. Overall, I would definitely recommend AMLI to someone else!

Overall, Management is very nice and the overall community is great. I know everyone means well and Management strives to be very professional. AMLI is a very nice place to live. However, objectively, existing issues just don't seem to get resolved very easily, which shouldn't be the case.
Leo is the man! Management has been awesome so far and we are very happy with everything. It's tough to find an apartment that's new with a good amount of space/floor plan and amenities for the price on the west side. Everything was expertly designed from the interior to the exterior and the details are beautiful. The amenities are unmatched by any other building we looked at. Hopefully, more businesses will open up in the neighborhood as it would be a win-win for all.
Living at the AMLI is like living at a resort. All amenities and facilities are five star and I couldnt ask for anything more! The leasing staff is exceptional and living here is a true dream!
We lived at AMLI for just over 1.5 years. We ended up breaking our lease early due to inexperienced management and their inability to address issues around the property and foster community. There are much better places to live in the Marina than AMLI, especially for the price.
AMLI is a terrific place to call home. Quiet, clean, spacious. And the sense of community is strong - thanks to the rockstar office management and staff. They have been the single most positive constant during these trying quarantine times. Hats off to everyone on the AMLI team for continuing to connect with residents, keeping us safe and healthy, whilst still building a sense community when there are so many restrictions in place.

The community experience that ive received at the amli is unlike anything ive ever had at a luxury rental. It ha spoiled my fiance and I to the point that we can only go from here to a house we purchase, there isnt a better rental community out there.
The Amli Marina Del Rey is a beautiful, clean apartment complex, with attention paid to every aesthetic detail. The location is quiet, some apartments have views of the boats in the water, the sky changes every day, the apartments are incredibly well-designed. AMLI is an amazing place to live! The individual apartments as well as entire complex are beautiful! The staff is super helpful and has responded almost immediately to any inquiries we've had.
I’ve lived here for about 7 months now and it’s insane how thin the floors are. I can hear everything my upstairs neighbor does. It’s a rampant problem throughout the entire complex and the only solution they have is to move you to a new unit. Every resident here has the same issue and the move outs are constant. People sign one lease and never renew because of the noise. Don’t be fooled by the nice amenities and finishes, the noise will drive you crazy

Maintenace response time needs to be improved. And perhaps the corporate leaders at AMLI could exert more pressure on local government to push the post office into finally starting the actual mail delivery at 4250 Via Marina.
