Property Ratings at AMLI South Lake Union
Overall the place is really nice and the staff is amazing. I also really like its location in SLU. However, in the year and a half that I've lived there the phase II building's package room has been broken into twice. As a result of this they've had to close the package room and tried to have all phase II packages delivered to the leasing office at the phase I building. This was just a minor inconvinience which was supposed to be temporal, but after three months it doesn't seem like a temporal thing anymore. It has become a real problem since for the packages that are delivered to the leasing office you are required to pick them up at leasing office hours which can be complicated for people on a busy schedule. For example, for my food delivery packages (e.g. Freshly/Blue Apron) if they are delivered to the leasing office I have to make sure to be able to pick them up before the leasing office closes or else I'd have to pick them up the next day and hope for the food not to be spoiled by then. For other packages the delivery companies just leave them at phase II's lobby since they don't want to make the trip to phase I one block away. This has resulted in two packages being stolen for me, and while I know this is not management's fault, it is a result of them neglecting to fix the root cause of not having a package room for months now. This just feels like a downgrade from the state of the building when I first moved in and after months of asking the leasing office and getting a "who knows when it will be fixed" as a response it just seems like this is not something management cares about. Overall a pretty good place but if I were to move here knowing this I'd either make sure I rent on phase I building where this is not an issue or rent on one of the nearby apartment complexes which offer very similar amenities/appartments for very similar prices but don't have this type of issues.
I really like living at Amli SLU. My move was managed very well, and the staff is amazing. They have all been super helpful with everything. I really like the units - with the large windows, high ceilings and the modern steel appliances. I am also very impressed by the sustainability initiatives at Amli. It's a place I can call home.
After living in various downtown Seattle neighborhoods for 8 years prior to moving into AMLI, I can honestly say this is the most homey feeling I've had.
The best staff and amenities out of all my apartment tours and that was my deciding factor, they are very nice, helpful and efficient!
AMLI has good, clean amenities and their response time for inquiries and maintenance requests are quick! It's pricey but its a good place to live in the city.
AMLI SLU is located in great area. Apartment managers are very helpful. If you are looking for quiet, modern, and simple style apartment, then this is the apartment you are looking for.
Since moving in, my wife and I have loved our apartment. The rooms are fantastic and the view is spectacular. Great find in South Lake Union.

AMLI Has been an amazing community to live in I have worked as a traveller from California to Washington State and I have sought out the AMLI community for their professionalism, amenities, quality of apartments, floor plans, and the security of their buildings. I always feel cared about and heard and they treat you with the utmost supportive respect and help you find the place that works just for you. When you're moving in they're so helpful even when you're moving out to relocate to another community. I greatly appreciate all of the support during my relocation efforts for my employer thank you AMLI!!!
My apartment on the top floor is a very nice, bright, clean, private place where I can safely isolate during the pandemic. Lovely view from the roof.

Ive really enjoyed living at AMLI SLU. The office staff is always very attentive and accommodating for any questions or requests you may have. The apartments storage space clearly stands out amongst the rest of apartments in the SLU area. One of the biggest reasons I chose this property is due to the safe and home feel you get when here.

We have been living here for almost 2 months now. The staff here is very nice and responsive. Our move in day was very smooth. There are plenty of amenities which we have been able to start taking advantage of now that they are opening up a bit more.
Overall the community is excellent. The staff and friendly and attentive. However, we find that often times packages are delivered, but we receive notifications 2-3 days later.
One of the main priorities of the AMLI family is to be eco-friendly. They have taken several measures to ensure proper disposal of waste so that there is maximum recycle of waste.

AMLI South Lake Union is the place to be, you can get to most places by walking 20 minutes, the neighborhood feels good, amenities are amazing and apartments are really nice.
Bar none, the best apartment community you can find in South Lake Union, and maybe ever! The leasing and management staff are the perfect combination of professional, inviting, knowledgeable, and helpful, and all areas of the community are always kept immaculately clean. The design of the building is warm and inviting, and the general atmosphere really does make AMLI SLU feel like home!

Living at AMLI South Union has been a great experience. Everything you need is so close by, and management has been very responsive to any needs that came up.
The rents are reasonable, the facilities are really good and the location is perfect. I have lived here for over a year now and have had almost no complains whatsoever.
Fine apartment if you live on the top floor. Anywhere else in the building I would HIGHLY recommend going with another option. Management will lie to you about the actual quality of the building.
Honestly, the entire leasing office makes me rank the apartment experience at a 10. Katy was beyond helpful and the rest of the team helped out while she enjoyed her off days. It is by far one of the best, if not the best, leasing experiences I've ever had.
Beautiful, well cared for apartments. Both management and maintenance teams are very friendly and responsive, even remembering my name despite the number of residents they need to care for. It's a home I am very comfortable in.
Two things I feel not comfortable: (1) the construction bothers my sleep a lot. (2) they changed the parking policy just to make more money.

I just moved in 2 days back and have a horrible experience so far. When we moved in we did not get any tour of where the trash / mail / package drop is. Even our move in time had to be adjusted so that we can move in only at a particular time when someone is available to hand over the keys. I chose this community for its great amenities. Only to find out that none of the amenities are really free to use! You can reserve the amenities at a HEFTY price PER HOUR. When no one is using the amenities, they are locked and unusable. I had a much warmer move-in experience at my previous apartment. Also, even though my previous apartment had less amenities, they were available for use for residents
Former resident here. My final take on AMLI SLU is that the $$$ price isn't justified. There is plenty of housing available in this area so do yourself a favor and steer clear of AMLI. They just don't care about their residents. Let me explain... The building quality is shotty and there is no soundproofing between apartments or the outside. You hear every step and bark. Also, there is a bar down the block so if you're living on the south side of the building you will hear loud music and drunk people from 10pm-3am EVERY NIGHT because there is no insulation! The elevators are also ALWAYS out of service and are generally very slow. Parking is TERRIBLE! You pay 175$ a month with no guarantee you'll actually get a spot. The spaces are so small that people take 2 because their cars literally don't fit. To make matters worse, half the spots are "reserved," leased out to employees or those paying more for a better spot. Also, 3x while I lived there they blocked MORE spots to sell to businesses despite residents' complaints about parking. Forget about parking in the reserved spaces when you can't find another spot because they ticket cars if not moved by 7am. Customer service was always INCREDIBLY rude. Example: I moved in with my boyfriend (already living there) on a Friday. The front desk guy told me that I couldn't access the parking until the owner approved my application on Monday. Monday comes and I don't hear a peep so I end up paying the 20$ to street park. Tuesday morning I go down to see what's up and am told the owner was busy and hadn't gotten to it. Fine. I was furious by Thursday after still not being given access so I marched downstairs and demanded it. That SAME front desk guy ends up giving me a key to the garage despite the fact that I hadn't been approved yet. WHY COULDN'T HE HAVE DONE THE WEEK EARLIER BEFORE I PAID 20$ A DAY FOR STREET PARKING??? Top it off with the fact that the employees are rude and unhelpful. When they say they open at 9 they really mean they'll walk in at 9 and talk to each other until 10 despite the line of people waiting. Also, they'll never be able to help, so they'll tell you they'll call later with the answer. Spoiler alert: you'll never get that call. After living there a year they will jack up your rent by 20% and refuse to negotiate with you despite listing your same apartment for 100 less than they offered you. They charge those renewing their lease WAY more than other places so beware and do your homework.
