Property Ratings at AMLI Warner Center
After a year of living here. This place is awful. You come to management for help and they talk over you and pretend you're the problem. There's zero accountability for unruly, loud, disruptive tenants. Building doors are left open all over the place. Homeless people roam in. Fire alarms wail at 8am without warning. Oh did I mention that they embarked upon a 1 year renovation and didn't tell anyone? Just let us sign on the line. Jackhammering, painting, and powerwashing all the time. Only caveat is the janitorial staff, they work hard and are kind. Counting the days until my move. Do not move here. Move into one of the nicer newer buildings.
Do you like to hear your neighbors through the walls…their music, conversations, and pets? If so, come here and sign a long lease right away. Do you like road noise and fire alarms at all hours of the night? Please, race down and sign a looooooong lease Do you like to share 1 swimming pool and jacuzzi with a small city? (500+ units sharing one pool) then by all means race down and sign a lease. Sure the pool is nice, just know that sometimes you won’t even be able to find a chair. If you’re coming here because they are a tiny bit cheaper than other better buildings, just remember it’s better to pay a little extra than it is to suffer for 1 year.
What blew me away was the entrance and the pool. If you are looking for an apartment that has that hotel luxury, home feel, this is the place to go! The units are decently sized and beautiful! If you like to host parties, have no fear of your guests finding parking as there is an entire parking lot for them! Never heard of an apartment that actually thought about the people who like to treat their “apartment” as an actually home! Management seems very friendly, on-top of complaints and their residence to follow rules and guidelines. The place was very clean and updated, and the greenery is very aesthetically pleasing! Love this place! Best tour experience I have ever had for an apartment and very impressed with what it offers. Thank you!
This place is a lying bait and switch scam with evil white terrorist named Andrew with Brady eyes and wolf teeth. Rip offs galore. Alarms always going off framed on smokers which is their own all black security firm.
TERRIBLE!!! TERRIBLE!!! TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT MOVE IN!! First off, this place is a TOTAL RIP OFF considering their service! Second, there's FIRE ALARMS going off ALL THE TIME!!!!! Next, they SHUT DOWN THE WATER SUPPLY for A WEEK and have not offered a single discount to cover the inconvenience that they caused to the tenants. In addition to that, they INCREASE RENT PRICES after EVERY LEASE!!!! Keep those things in mind, in case you want to move here.
I dont know where to start , do yourself a favor and stay away from this apartment complex. I moved here 2 years ago and Im almost at the end of my lease. First of all, I ve been having bug problems since the first day and its been 2 years still I see that earbugs and now I have small roach too even the pest control came for that bugs, but they didnt dissapear unfortunately, I didnt turn these out as big problems and didnt say anything to the management. I regret that I didnt say anything happend to me here . I had to. One night I parked my car up to 4th floor (because theres no assigned parking) I was using the stairs since I live in the first floor , it was 3.30 a.m and I suddenly ran across a homeless person standing on the first floor between the 2 doors of the stairs. It was terrifying. I ran to my apartment. Another memory is I live mybyself and i can be nervous of course if my doorbell rings 2 days in a row at different times like 5am and 3am... but i refert i didnt tell to the office. Another story is I was seeing people in the pool and I knew they werent even living in this complex and they were saying they didnt.. lol its another problem i didnt mind but it was weird too. Another story is one day, in the night time someone fought with the security in the pool area and knocked him down he was asking for help to my neighbors..this was terrifying too. Someone cracked my car in the garage and someone also scratched my car in the garage. One of them left a note luckily but the other one was impossible to find. I sent an e mail to the office but didnt get a respond. Than I didnt mind again.. Oh fire alarms ! I have to mention they can start in the middle of the night or during the day.. And Since I moved I was asking for a callbox code or something for my guests or deliveries but I didnt get anything than I gave up to ask... I was going out everytime I have a delivery or a friend .. I didnt know they were gonna give me a hard time when I asked to move out 1 month earlier before my lease ends because of my living situation. It has changed and it was clear because I never missed a payment until last month for 2 years. But when I said this in a nice way they said NO. Even I know my friends moved out easily because of their complaints they ve done to the office and way before their lease ends they were able to move out. But because I didnt report anything or didnt want to complain I have to stuck here for another month even if i cant pay the rent anymore.
I love this community and my apartment! The amenities are amazing and the apartments themselves are quite luxurious. I really like the layout of my unit as it is very practical, contemporary and stylish. This is a very beautiful property that I am so proud to call my home. In addition to the overall quality of the property itself, is the quality of the personnel that AMLI has assigned to this property. The Community Manager Janet, the leasing office staff and the maintenance staff are absolutely wonderful. They are all very professional, personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem to care about the needs and concerns of the residents. People like Janet, Cristal, Harvee, Raul and many others truly help make the quality of living at AMLI an exceptional experience. The maintenance staff at this property is unbelievably good. They are very professional in appearance, are polite and courteous, and do an amazing job of addressing any issues that a resident may have with their unit in a very timely fashion. They have a standard of 48 hours from the time a resident submits a non-emergency repair request to resolve the ticket. But, in my personal experiences, they usually complete the work in 24 hours or less. Amazing service! The leasing office staff is always very polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable when I have had to go to them for assistance. And, I can state from personal experience that that is certainly not the case with many other properties I have either lived in or toured as a prospective resident. Kudos to the AMLI leasing office staff is in order as well.
Seemed to be an OK place to live from the outside, this place offers a mediocre living experience but fortunately with a decent price for unrenovated units. However, before you move in, please note that you will get the chance to deal with the most unreasonable and most irresponsible management team. Aside from the ridiculous 60-day move-out notice, which is typically 30-day among all other similar level apartments, the management was negligent at end of lease and did not respond back on a lost mail for the refund of security deposit. After I finally identify that the check was lost in mails, I request the management to reissue a check and void the lost one. The management requested a notarized waiver on the already issued check, which I agreed, but also stated that my then-roommate has already relocated out of States for good. As a result I have my then-roommate send a waiver electronically and assigned me as the sole correspondent given his inaccessibility of US resources. The management, on the other hand, is in no way cooperative, and did not seem want to move forward at all. This is the worst move out experience I have ever had in my entire apartment-living life. If you do not want to experience the same, be careful before moving in.
I have been leasing a 2 bed 2 bath for 3 yrs. the complex is very nice has a nice pool area and gym. However the pool is supposed to be heated at 84 degrees at all times. I have complained numerous times about how cold the pool gets when it's not summer time. I signed the lease because I was going to have back surgery and needed an easy access to my apartment and a warm pool to go through recovery process. The pool was never at 84 degrees when I first complained they said it should be at 79 degrees and didn't care to make it warm. Recently oct 2016 I asked again why is the pool so cold they checked it it was at 69 degrees and advised should be 84 degrees at all time still working in it. However my bigger issue here is that I smell weed constantly In the garage in the hallways which is normal i suppos but now I smell weed in my bathroom in my bedroom suite. It's all night long and at random times of the day for the past 2 wks. I'm also pregnant so I'm scared for my baby's health however my husband can also smell it and says it is really strong as well management won't do anything about it either all they said was we can have maintenance close your vents. Really that's all? 3rd of all. Their smoke alarm goes off at random times of the day. 3am 2pm it doesn't matter what time it is. It has gotten better but still a bit sensitive and annoying as this is annoying as I can't do anything about the smell other than to close the bathroom door and open my appt windows to get the smell out. And now the smell of weed is also coming from outside.
Lately things have not gotten fixed in the community areas. 1.) Most of the doors to enter the pool will not open to the keyless FOB we all have, the security guard cannot open these doors either, and one of the doors has been a known problem for at least a year now. 2.) The barbeques near the pool do not work. Two nights ago 1 worked for me. 3.) The Wi-Fi in both the pool area and the business center do not work. The pool has been a known issue for 2-3 years now. We always assumed the residents living within Wi-Fi reach of the pool were sucking up the Wi-Fi usage. Management told me an IT specialist was coming out to fix these issues, but I am not aware they came out because I never saw anyone nor the Wi-Fi getting fixed. 4.) The business room has several problems. One computer has not worked for months, the printer has been acting up for months and when it works only one computer can print from it. 5.) The Jacuzzi jets have not worked for at least 2 weeks that I am aware of. Management may respond saying “they appreciate my concerns” or something like that, but these are issues they should know about and have fixed a long time ago. We pay extra for these amenities, ask yourself if you are getting what you pay for when you sign the lease agreement. I will say I love the use of the 24-hour gym. Granted, the treadmills don’t always work and the TV channels on the monitors are limited
Stay away from this place. Upon moving out, I was hit with 3 separate charges for replacing the carpet, painting, and cleaning. I'm a 35 year old working professional, having lived in about 10 different apartments through the years and I have NEVER been charged anything for moving out. This place wants me to pay for them replacing the carpet which needed to be replaced before we moved in, and repaint the unit even though we didn't hang up a single picture or drill a single hole. They sent me one picture of a small scuff near the doorway as "proof". Completely unfair. The worst is the cleaning charge which you should all expect to be charged for as well, since it was a regular cleaning expense that they are trying to pass on to us. Their excuse is, the apartment should be in move-in condition as when you moved in, otherwise it is "within their right" to charge you. So expect this upon moving out. As for living there, all the complaints are true. You have random alarms going off. There is only 1 security who barely walks around and checks on things. Random strangers entering through the back gates that I've seen multiple times. One time we had two guys bang on our door at 1am (we didn't open the door)... but who knows what could've happened. Motorcycles were constantly being stolen out of the garage, so if you have one... it's not the safest place to leave it. Half the equipment in the gym doesn't work and never gets replaced. The keyfobs are always malfunctioning. When I was given the tour and moved in, I thought this place would be awesome. I mean, it looks awesome from the outside. The pool area looks luxury. But the management is poor. The assistant manager is incompetent, the manager who I emailed promised me she would call me a few times to discuss our complaints and never did. She emailed me ten days later in the evening and then promptly went on vacation. So who knows when I might hear back.... Just unprofessional and poorly managed. I don't know any other management companies that try to rip you off upon leaving, but this is definitely one of them.
This was my first place with a few roommates in the Valley from Orange. It is a great location with proximity to Warner Park in mind; there are days I just ride my bicycle in. The service is nice in the office. The dog run is stellar, wrapping a half mile around the property alongside the orangeline, well maintained and scenic for even a jog. They have an enclosed dog park for Bird too, which he always appreciated. Other residents are friendly for the most part but the biggest caveat was the riff raff. There was some kind of fraud ring in that overall vicinity and we ended up living down the way from someone that was evicted from Reveal. If you could believe it, we found out because they would speak very freely about it and very noisily at that. These people leave trash everywhere, smoke weed, have tons of people living with them and are just disgusting. We ended up thinking the grass was greener by moving into the newer community next door for more rent. I will leave a review there too.
The building is beautiful, trendy, modern, and safe! If i could afford, I would live here for the rest of my life...they have a security guard after business hours, work orders are completed within 48 hours, and the pool is magnificent....a lot of young folks live here, so the only feedback is that it can get a bit loud during the weekend...not sure if there is anything that can get done.
Amli Warner center is so beautiful. The pool area and all the amenities are amazing. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful
Luxury....quiet...however people sneak in parking structure and take bikes
I live at the Amli Warner Center, and I find that there's not really anything to complain about, but not much that's really special either. The place is kept clean, but not spotless. The gym and shared office are nice enough, but typically at least one thing is broken. I would recommend it to you if it's the right price and location for your situation. Positives: - The maintenance staff are great. Very polite and efficient, they want to get you back to normal with as little disturbance as possible. The lobby staff are fine, again with little to complain about but little to praise either. - The apartment is right around the corner from the Orange Line Canoga Station. - There is always parking, and your guests are allowed to park in the parking structure if you let them in. - The pool is nice and kept clean. - There is a nice little path behind the building where you can take a walk, with your dog or child or even just by yourself. Negatives: - Smoke alarms do go off in the middle of the night if somebody smokes in the stairwell. These incidents seem to come in jags with long periods in between them.
The unit designs are very elegant. The no assigned parking is a hassle if you work late. Sometimes you are forced to park outside the complex, which by the way is often noisie by people hanging out late in the street. I know it's required by law for new buildings, but the alarm systems inside each unit are annoying. A person on the opposite side could be smoking in the hallway and cause the alarms to go off. That means every unit's alarm will go off for that reason and it's happened in the middle of the night many times. The gym has all new equipment and is kept clean. Pool and BBQ area is amazing. I love hanging out there. Overall, it's a nice place to live in. Aside from the negative stuff I mentioned, I've loved living here. Its elegant, it's clean, and the staff from office people to the maintenance crew are very helpful and friendly.
Absolutly beatifull! Close to shopping areas , gym and restaurants. Hope we can soon move into this gem!'
Be careful at the end of your lease ... I moved out early and still paying until the end of my lease. I was told my account would be with Haley (Asst Mgr) and to contact her with any questions or status. I sent an email to Haley a month prior for confirmation and status to make sure everything was taken care of, as I say my last payment (so I thought) was received. I never heard back. When I was able, I sent another email to follow-up a month later, still no response. A week later, I checked my bank account and noticed it was overdrawn due to a charge I did not authorize. (I keep my bills in one account.) So, I called my bank and placed a "Stop Payment". I sent an email to Haley advising her of this and called the office. By surprise, when I called, Haley answered and I spoke to her briefly and advised her to send me a breakdown of my account. I checked my email and noticed she responded within hours of my "stop payment" email! Well, it turns out I did owe a small amount BUT had she responded from the beginning, none of this unnecessary headache and inconvenience with her and the bank would have happened. After more emails, I mailed out the final payment and asked her to send me a receipt promptly but, of course, she did not! It was like pulling teeth corresponding with Haley as she does not answer your questions. You have to ask in many ways before she answers. And she writes one thing then states another. I even sent an email to her Manager, Sharry, for help and Sharry responded she will look into this and get back to me the next day...It's been a week! I see in my bank account that they have received payment. Yes, still no response from Haley or Sharry. I'm seeing a pattern of AMLI Managers NOT responding!
Don't even bother calling with information about your move. I gave everything specifically, date, pet, etc. Was quoted a rental rate and deposit. NOWHERE on the website does it say anything about pet rent. Yes, $50/mo for a cat. When I get there, oh, those units aren't available, your rent is $130 more per month. No thanks!
I have great credit. I have never been late paying my rent EVER! I was unable to fill out an application for an apartment that I could entirely afford, because their criteria for an apartment did not show 2 1/2 times the rent (documented income). If I made $60,000.00 per year I would have been looking for a place larger than a ONE bedroom apartment. Thank you for letting me school you. If you are a tenant that makes tips, look at another apartment. I am presently at Avalon, Woodland Hills. They require good credit, period. No problems.
OK, so we been living here for 2 years and after this new management came in, things really started to go downhill. Then office people are rude. To rent you the place they are the nicest people to you but after you rent it they just don't care about you. plus now we got bug problem. Cockroaches, ants and etc... and the staff doesn't do anything about it. moving out as soon as my lease is over.
Since we had new management, I have been holding my breath. I have lived here for 2, going on 3 years. I just had a big problem, bed bugs! Management did not act quickly, for whatever reason, and the exterminator finally cam THREE WEEKS LATER! While I like the parking, the 24 hour gym, the computer and tv room. I am putting serious thought into moving out.
