Property Ratings at Andover Park Apartments
I lived there for over 2 years the parking sucks if your car gets towed the company they use will squeeze you for every dime possible( $440 as soon as they drive off) the trash area is always horrible and unsanitary there is always construction gutter cleaning leaf blowers going on as early as 8am so if u work grave yard shift u probably won’t rest management is a joke they pretend to be friendly and helpful till you need them to assist you when they will tell you they don’t get paid enough to deal with outrageously loud upstairs neighbors they will tell u all they can do is call and leave a message I know because that’s what I was told they updated most of their units from carpet to vinyl wood floors not thinking how that would affect the noise leaves so if you want to hear running and stomping and basketballs bouncing or your upstairs neighbors bass from the sub from surround system, rattle your apartment and have management tell u they can’t help then this is the place for you
Place needs inside renovation. The seal must be failing because there’s mold and moisture in the windows. There’s constant moisture and the smell of mildew. The bathrooms share vents with others and you can smell smoke/vapors easily. Our ceiling had leaks, appliances are old, and the people are mean and nasty. Spend the extra money for something nicer if you can.

I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT WAS NEWLY RENOVATED! I do know they had a lenders inspection so they can get more money out of these places without putting one (1) penny back into them! These Newly Renovated Apartments have the oldest water heaters which have been here since the apartments were built 1989! The windows are dated 3/1988!! They exchanged glass in certain windows nothing else in a select few apartments but the glass company that came out were given the wrong measurements, the sliding glass door had one (1) piece of glass exchanged but the glass doesn't fit the door, because AMC/ANDOVER PARK APARTMENTS RAISED THE RENT WITHOUT RENOVATION AND THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT! THINK AGAIN! Anyone wanting to moving out can get out free and clear, false advertising is enough for us! Not to mention nothing has been done as stated in their websites! I have enough pictures for a lawsuit! Go to Commons At Redwood Creek Apartments, No false advertising and the are reasonably priced better then here!
One star because zero wasn’t an option. Here are the reasons: 1. The office is either terribly disorganized, or just plain dishonest. Although they claimed to have emailed us, we were never notified that our lease was renewing, so they quietly bumped us to month to month with a $300 rent increase. When we asked for copies of the emails, we again were never sent anything. 2. I’d like to say they have some sort of turn around on maintenance requests, but we’ve had a gaping hole in our bathroom ceiling where a heat lamp should be for 8 of the 11.5 months we’ve been here. Still waiting for that replacement. 3. There are 2 or 3 police cruisers around the complex for extended periods of time at least twice a month, if not more frequently. 4. There are never not work crews around the property. They start work at 7:30 in the morning, regardless of what established quiet hours are, every day of the week. Don’t expect to sleep in, living here. 5. The dumpster area is an absolute health hazard due to lack of maintenance. It is always overflowing with everything from household garbage to discarded furniture. 6. The dog poo receptacles are always overflowing and rotten. I have to park in front of one, so I know. Before moving in here, I read and discarded the 1-star reviews on this site as anomalous experiences from hyperbolic individuals. Don’t repeat my mistake!

We're saddened to find your overall experience has resulted in this rating, as we work hard to make our community a wonderful place to live. We were sure to both email and send a physical renewal letter to you, and although we did not have the emails at hand at that time, we did provide your husband with the letter we sent to you. We have not charged you for any month-to-month fees, nor has the rent increased. We sincerely apologize for any delay regarding repairing your ceiling, and we'll be sure to tend to that matter as soon as possible. Our team strives to routinely maintain our grounds, and we apologize for any inconvenience our grounds' work may have caused you. We understand there are challenges to being a pet-friendly community, and we'll be sure to better maintain our pet stations. We'd appreciate the opportunity to improve your sentiments moving forward, so please pay us a visit here at the office so we may address your concerns and resolve any issues you may have.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We have had to stay for 2 years because we can't afford to move out. This is the most ridiculous apartment complex that we have ever lived and we have had absolutely nothing but problems with our apartment and staff/"owners" since we moved in. They charge fees for everything, trying to squeeze every little penny they can out of you. They make up rules as they go, that aren't in the lease we signed, so they can charge us further. The maintenance team takes forever to fix anything that needs it, they are also not friendly whatsoever, and make you feel like you are disrupting their life by asking them to do their job. They also don't actually fix the problem and whatever it is that was supposedly fixed will without a doubt break again in coming days. This place is a dump and they do the bare minimum to make this place "liveable". There is also 1 dumpster that is on the opposite end of the complex so we get to walk our garbage quite a ways which is a pain. You aren't allowed to store anything in your garage even though it says nowhere in your lease that that is not allowed. They claim it is a fire hazard even though they themselves have garages full of appliances and supplies. There is not enough parking so guests have nowhere to park. The staff actually joke and laugh that people have to rent an extra space for their guests to park. An extra space is $50/month by the way. They also tow cars whenever they deem necessary. Our 2nd car was towed because they claimed it was sticking out. It wasn't. We never got any paperwork about it and our car was sold, along with our personal belongings, because we couldn't afford to get it out of impound. We will be suing for that as soon as we are able. Someone claimed in a review that the pool area is always clean, that is an absolute LIE! The staff don't even clean it and I don't think it's even looked clean since we've lived here. They also close it for no reason, often, including the hottest days and months of the year. It was closed most of the summer last year. The website claims that it is a year-round heated pool, while it is heated, it's only open for a couple months out of the year. And even when it is, it's not guaranteed that it will actually be open. I'll be interested to see if we even receive any of our security deposit or if they'll nickel and dime their way into taking all of it. DON'T MOVE HERE!

We are very sorry to hear of your opinion of us. We strive daily to give our residents the best customer service possible. We would love to sit down with you and talk to you about any service requests that are outstanding, as our goal is a 24 hour turn around for the completion of each request. We would also like to go over the parking addendum with you in regards to parking in the garage spaces. Our pool is advertised as heated, but not year round. Our hot tub is year round, however. We do maintain the chemicals for both the pool and hot tub on a daily basis as well as cleaning. We do apologize for the closure last year, but we were resurfacing the pool and hot tub. Again, we would love to sit down and talk about any issues that you may have. Please contact the office for a time that is convenient.
I REALLY wish I would of looked over the reviews before moving in here. The absolute worst customer service. It takes forever for anything to be fixed. When I moved out took extreme measure to make sure my place was spotless. I even paid $120 to have my carpets cleaned. The only thing I failed to clean was the oven, after 2 years of living there I figured they might take $50 at most to clean the oven. I then received an email stating they took over $700 to have the carpets replaced! When I asked them about it I was told there was a "spot" ,a freaking spot, in the bedroom & that they don't do spot treatments so they are need to replace ALL of the carpets in the whole apartment. Never in my history of living in apartments have I had my whole security deposit taken from me. When I had the carpets cleaned the gentleman told me my carpets where in great condition, don't you think if there was any major damage that he would want to charge me more to make more money. The management told me "well you left your windows open" as if I am trying to mask any smell. Carpet cleaners always do that to air it out so it doesn't get moldy from cleaning! I wasn't even living there at that point. My dog is extremely well behaved, she is 10 years old and I have had her since a puppy and not once have I not received a security deposit back with having her. PEOPLE DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!

Here at Andover Park, among the trees, I find my home; In the middle of my life, I am surrounded by all the things I do: Working at New Seasons Progress Ridge, my family is close, the Beaverton Hillsboro pedestrian path which I walk on every day, and School. This is the spot to be! I don't need a car, I can walk or take public transit and not to mention, the amenities of Andover! With just the sauna which was recently rebuilt, and the racquetball court and a Yoga studio this place steals my heart! This apartment is is great! Bottom floor stays cool in summer and is built around beautiful dark granite counters in the kitchen! Thank you Andover and thank you Apartments.com
Living at Andover is like living at a mountain resort. All units have wood burning fireplaces that actually work. The grounds are emaculately maintained with seasonal flowers and mature pine trees throughout. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and work out center are always clean and five star! Just a quick walk to restaurants, a lake, shops and an express bus stop into Portland, the location provides a serene quiet life style as well as the convenience of city living.
