Property Ratings at Andover Park
Brown recluse spiders. No pest control but maybe you pay for it anyway.
Once you have signed their lease, they will forget you exist. Expect to fight to get maintenance done. Face passive aggressive management, who literally get defensive and reactionary at their resident’s complaints. People have had to move into apartments that had not been cleaned or upgraded. People have had to wait several days to weeks to get maintenance to fix something. If your AC is out, it is not considered an emergency. Older people and people with health conditions should be aware of this. The staff told me after my AC had been out for 5 days, to just “Hang out at the pool, until we get to you”. Excuse me, what???!!!
WARNING: Stray away from this apartment community. First, I have been here for about a quarter of my lease and have regretted it since signing. Started with them doing the old switcharoo on me when I signed my first lease and had me sign for a more expensive unit after looking at my income/credit, which was idiotic by them to say the least..they put me in the same building as the apartment I originally signed for and NO ONE has moved in since!!! Spending $150 more because of this reason. Not to mention the unit before was a 10month lease and after signing saw they switched it to a 13month lease and they would not honor the 10month period I signed on the other unit. Secondly, toilet has a slow leak, washer only puts out hot water which has ruined a few pieces of clothing, dishwasher holds water from time to time in the bottom, refrigerator is leaking black from the bottom….etc. They didn’t even inspect the apartment before I moved in. There was road salt from the winter everywhere and some glue on multiple areas of the laminate flooring they installed during “renovation.” Lastly, be prepared to pay about $80 more on water/sewage/pest control/trash per month. Common fees but way too expensive. Not to mention the $40 convenience fee they charge to pay online and they no longer take checks or cash for paying rent. Terrible management. Hidden fees. Mediocre apartments. Only positives are having Costco a block away, shops within 10min drive time, and it’s located by multiple highways. Should have done more due diligence before signing and knew after they switched units on me this would be the type of experience I would be living in for a year of my life.
From October to now I’m on my fourth manager. I moved into this apartment and it wasn’t cleaned or ready for someone to move into at all. Lots of broken and dirty things. I had to clean up myself. At one point, I’ve even reached out to the regional manager and once I told him my complaints, I still have yet to hear back from him. Don’t waste your time looking here! If I could give 0 stars I would!
I am looking for somewhere to move and most leasing offices are very friendly/helpful even when they have no available units. This office is the exception. How do you expect someone to be interested when their first impression is a phone call with annoyed tones nor little customer service skills. People have bad days, but this is not how you bring in renters.
Beware! Andover Park just wants your money, they will not provide you a comfortable living experience. The tenants that still live here from before the name switch make this place terrible and the current leasing agency has done nothing about it. Recently there was a shooting caused by a tenant and nothing was changed in complex security. Upstairs neighbors are loud at all hours of the day, and leasing has outright said that you should expect to be woken up from 1-4AM in any apartment! Several tenants with large dogs simply refuse to pick up after them and the greenways are a mess because of it. Simply put, do not move here.
I always get competent service. With this particular service, the maintenance manager went the extra miles to assure that I received a new dishwasher. Thank you!! Recommendations would be helped by timely cutting of grass and a general review/replacement of some of the bushes.
Love every thing except the none response to service requests, 2 of them being plumbing needs
Second time I've lived here. I like it here and everyone seems very courteous and try' to get things done in a timely manner
I love this apartment community for location and I love my apartment itself. This is a beautiful property!
This is a great community to live in. Friendly staff, nice location, great apartment.
I think over the past 1-2 years this complex has not met the Luxury Apartment status, which indicates a certain level of quality and not the normal run of the mill complex. There are too many broken down and beat up cars. The quality of tenants has decreased with rude (get out of my way b/c I am on the sidewalk attitude) people walking around, more aggressive dogs. I have a dog and walk the property multiple times a day and get barked and growled at regularly. There has been a big problem with dog poop everywhere and not being picked up by the dog owners, but that has been better this year. Overgrown trail near the woods and pathways caving in. Overall, this is a nice complex, but it has declined over the past several years I have been here, so it is hard for me to say this is a luxury apartment complex.
Despite some of the challenges I've had over the past 3 yrs at this property, overall I still value the apt layout and interior amenities of this property compared to others in the surrounding area. I like the convenience of the location to highways and shopping/entertainment, as well as the "quietness" of the area. I also appreciate the quality of the appliances.
I mean, it was very nice inside and I was fortunate to get a great rate for my 2bd/2ba. Part of the high cost of apartment living is for the lifestyle and convenience of having someone to call when something goes wrong or you need something. However, the office was often unresponsive which made me feel like I was just filling the apartment and not part of the community that was supposedly being fostered.
The apartments are reasonably priced, but the maintenance issues should be resolved more attentively.
The apartment is very spacious as a one bedroom. I appreciate that there was not an added fee for the washer and dryer.
In the past, we have had great maintenance people that responded in a timely manner, then we did not for quite some time. The new person in charge now seems to be very good, knowledgeable, and polite.
My move in experience was very stressful. When I went to go get my keys it was not the apt I looked at. But, everything fell into place. But, the apartment could have been cleaned better. Especially if you all use a cleaning company.
I love love love living here At Carrington Park! The office personnel are so wonderful- I just wish they would answer the phone or call me back without me having to go to the office to get their answer to my questions. Other than that, I love living here!
Location is great, the units are nicely sized and price seems fair for local market.
VERY CLEAN! The fact that there are apartments that have garages connected to the unit is very impressive. The units are big and have really nice appliances. GREAT place to live!
This is the second time I lived here at Carrington Park I love it here. PersonL are friendly and have always taken care of my needs.
I really feel comfortable in this neighborhood. The parking isn't bad, the people are individuals I don't mind being neighbors with.
Great community, with great amenities, at a great price.
Everything was excellent- as always! The maintenance man called me almost before I hung up with the answering service. He was pleasant and came out exactly when I asked on his day off. He pinpointed the problem and fixed it immediately! I'm always impressed by the service I get here at Carrington Park!!!
I tell people that it is a pretty quiet neighborhood, and there have not been any issues in my immediate area.
Residents are friendly, beautiful place you feel safe and you have access to the all the shopping centers.
yes
I’ve been here about 5 months now and I’ve had a few issues here and there since move in but I overlooked majority of them as no place is perfect. However, I am now being forced to live with mice. I have a garden level unit and I expected a few bugs/insects here and there but I was not expecting any kind of rodents. I am a extremely clean person to the point that we don’t even wear shoes inside so I am baffled as to why they are in my unit let alone where they are coming from. Management also charges additional (monthly) for pest control so that also adds to my confusion. I submitted a maintenance request as soon as I saw the mouse (10/29). As I did not hear from anyone by 11/1, I checked the status of my request only to discover the request had been marked complete on the same date that I submitted it. I submitted another request then called the office Monday to confirm if an exterminator would be sent out the same day. By this time, I was no longer using the master bathroom since the mouse now called it home. The person I spoke with did seem somewhat empathetic but initially told me that I would need to wait until Wednesday and I should use my second bathroom. She also stated that perhaps the initial request was marked complete in error since the exterminator had come out the day before and maintenance thought work had already been done. Doesn’t make much sense to me since request was submitted the day after but hey, human error. When I explained that the mouse was chewing at the door frame and that there was good chance that there was more than one, she said that would reach out to her manager to see what could be done. She then told me that she would call back however, I have yet to hear from anyone and my call and message to them has been unreturned. I pay for the entire unit so I should be able to use the entire unit, bathrooms included at my discretion. It’s such a shame because the amenities are nice, the grounds are well kept and the unit is fairly spacious but I am now thinking that I will need to break the lease. Correct me if I’m wrong but I should be able to choose my own pets.

yes
Pretty nice although to dark for my liking at night. Not too secured in one’s safety.
It's nice and quiet and the property is well maintained. Personnel are very friendly, everyone are nice, and that's rare. I was hoping they will remain kind after I moved in and they did just that.
A nice neighborhood, good response to maintenance, poor customer service.
I really only liked the location of the 812 apartment. It was quiet and it would have felt like home for quite a long time.
I have already been recommending it and the apartment always gets compliments with guests.
The management of this place is terrible! Really poor communication and they appear to be concerned about complaints, but never actually address any issues brought up. Also, I moved out a month early, but my water and sewer bill was just as high as when I was living there, so somehow they are mischarging utilities. Be aware. Don’t rent from here.

It's a great deal. I'd recommend it to anyone looking.
I love my apartment but the rent is too high.
I was very pleased with my experience with the new staff members. I believe they would provide a better experience than I had with the previous staff members.
It's a nice community with friendly office staff but we need a garage & none are available for now.
Maintenance requests are always turned around within 24 hours, sometimes less than that. Thank you so much!!!!
I would definitely recommend this community because of the apartment floorplans and great upkeep of the property.
Friendly personal , great maintain excellent—they get the job due promptly quickly, the office will answer your questions, in a friendly manner. The community is clean and well taken care of
The updates are nice and office staff are professional and friendly.
I really like the apartment. The service has been lacking.
Clean friendly fixes problems in a timely manner. This is the second time I lived here at Carrington Park. Love it here
Pros and cons. The grounds are well taken care of with the exception of some pet owners that let their dog pee on the bushes at the entryway and on the grass close by. Smells of pet urine. Take them away from the front of the buildings. Not all pets are kept on leashes. Wood floors have huge gaps in them.
It is a very nice community and area. There are a lot of places to shop and eat around here. Only issue is not having the work orders done yet. I figured with the holidays it may have been hard.
Definitely recommend to people as an option during their search.
Everyday someone is doing something to maintain/work on the property
